RESUMO

Circadian rhythm disturbance promotes of carcinogenesis and is associated with changes in clock genes and proteins expression. In the current study we observed that continu- ous light exposure potentiated skin carcinogenesis induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene and 12-0-tetradecanoylphor- bol-13-acetate while melatonin had opposite effect. Carcinogenic exposure decreased BMAL1 and CRYI- expression in the skin, CLOCK expression was upregulated and CRYl downregulated in tumor compared to normal skin. BMAL1 expression increased under disrupted light regimen; melatonin treatment affected CLOCK expression in tumors and CRYI in skin at the carcinogens application sites.

RESUMO

It has been established with the help of sanitary-hygienic, microbiological and statistical methods, that the increasing ++anthropogenic stress on water reservoirs induce quantitative and qualitative changes of water biocenosis under the conditions of intensive use of water reservoirs for economic purposes. It can produce unfavourable health effects on the population, as well as on the equilibrium of the local ecological microsystems. The necessity has been substantiated of the use of complex sanitary-microbiological criteria of the assessment of the quality of water objects to provide their epidemic safety, to preserve and rehabilitate the processes of ++self-purification of water under the conditions of technogenic exposures.

RESUMO

It has been found out as result of complex sanitary-hygienic, microbiological and statistical studies, that the intensity of processes of self-purification of the water in water objects form potentially pathogenic microflora is reduced under the im fluence of the increasing anthropogenic stress on the water bodies in the Southern area which can produce unfavourable human health effects. The necessity that a complex of sanitary-microbiological indicators of water quality should be used to provide its epidemic safety has been revealed, and also a criterion of the assessment of the process of self-purification of the water in water bodies according to the acute intestinal infections morbidity of the population.

RESUMO

It has been established as result of studies with the use of complex sanitary-hygienic, microbiological, clinical and statistical methods, that the increasing antropogenic stress causes changes in microbiocenosis of water objects of the environment and of blood serum, which may produce unfavourable human health effects. The necessity to use integral complex indexes of the state of man and water medium for the assessment of the degree of risk of ++eco-technogenic effects has been found out.

RESUMO

The results of biochemical tests on fenozan general toxicity and its aftereffects and the experimental data on chemical content and ++amino+acid range of chicken meat and and fenozan residue in it demonstrated harmlessness of the meat of chicken fed up by a new antioxidant, fenozan 1K. Thus, the problem of using the analyzed chicken meat in population's dietary practice has been solved.

RESUMO

In an enclosed environment the species composition of microorganisms was quantified and metabolic processes in microbial cells isolated from the atmospheric condensate and reclaimed water were investigated. It was demonstrated that indicator microorganisms isolated from water and condensate samples (Alcaligenes faecalis, Citrobacter freundii, Aeromonas hydrophila, Acinetobacter-Moraxella) were specific and differed from indicator microorganisms typical of regular tap water.

RESUMO

The scheme for the identification of Gram-negative nonfermenting microorganisms is proposed. The scheme comprises the most important key signs, such as the cytochrome oxidase reaction determined by the method of Gaby and Hadley, the oxidation/fermentation test, maltose oxidation and motility, as well as additional key signs, among them gelatinase activity, the oxidation of 10% lactose, nitratase activity with the liberation of free nitrogen, the utilization of the sources of carbon and energy (glucose and sodium acetate) in limited media containing ammonium salts and nitrates as the sources of nitrogen. Additional tests for the identification of nonfermenting microorganisms similar in their main key signs are also recommended.

RESUMO

The method of detecting Gram-negative nonfermentative bacteria in the air of surgical hospitals by means of the -1 apparatus has been developed. 167 strains of nonfermentative bacteria have been isolated and studied; of these, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus constitute 88%. Nonfermentative bacteria occur most frequently in the air of wards for patients with severe burns, as well as in the air of dressing rooms when patients with burns are being bandaged there. The possibility of the spread of nonfermentative bacteria in the hospital by the aerogenic route should be taken into account.
