RESUMO
The purpose of the present work was to study the level of microelements and vitamins in adolescents with diffuse nontoxic goiter. It has been shown that comorbid biliary dyskinesia leads to significant dysregulation of vitamin and mineral metabolism: the level of essential elements was decreased and the level of toxic elements was increased. Comorbid biliary dyskinesia in adolescents with diffuse nontoxic goiter was accompanied by a disbalance of vitamins. The changes found in micronutrients have sex differences.

The purpose of the work was to study the activity of the first line antioxidant defence enzymes in postmitochondrial fraction of liver of pubertal rats during immobilization stress. During short-term immobilization the activity of catalase and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) decreased. Long-term immobilization was accompanied by activation of GPx and superoxide dismutase in the liver postmitochondrial fraction of late pubertal and adult animals, but not early pubertal rats.

The purpose of the present work is to study the influence of immobilization stress of different intensity on the content of protein and lipid oxidation products in subcellular brain fractions in rats of different age. It has been shown that 30-minute immobilization of 1.5-month, 2-month- and 12-month-old rats was not accompanied by accumulation of protein and lipid oxidation products in subcellular brain fractions. A prolonged immobilization of 1.5-month-old rats was accompanied by manifestations of oxidative stress in subcellular brain fractions; such manifestations were not characteristic of the rats of older age groups.

Comprehensive clinical laboratory studies were performed in 38 children with systemic lupus erythematosus. Screening tests (kaolin time, thromboplastin time with diluted thromboplastin, lebetox time) used which allowed secondary antiphospholipid syndrome to be diagnosed in 7 patients. IgG phosphatidylserine and cardiolipin antibodies were most frequently detected in the patients. Analysis of the findings has established the high sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic value of the lebetox-echitox index, which permits this method to be recommended for the diagnosis of secondary antiphospholipid syndrome in children.
