RESUMO

Facial expression is an important way to reflect human emotions and it represents a dynamic deformation process. Analyzing facial movements is an effective means of understanding expressions. However, there is currently a lack of methods capable of analyzing the dynamic details of full-field deformation in expressions. In this paper, in order to enable effective dynamic analysis of expressions, a classic optical measuring method called stereo digital image correlation (stereo-DIC or 3D-DIC) is employed to analyze the deformation fields of facial expressions. The forming processes of six basic facial expressions of certain experimental subjects are analyzed through the displacement and strain fields calculated by 3D-DIC. The displacement fields of each expression exhibit strong consistency with the action units (AUs) defined by the classical Facial Action Coding System (FACS). Moreover, it is shown that the gradient of the displacement, i.e., the strain fields, offers special advantages in characterizing facial expressions due to their localized nature, effectively sensing the nuanced dynamics of facial movements. By processing extensive data, this study demonstrates two featured regions in six basic expressions, one where deformation begins and the other where deformation is most severe. Based on these two regions, the temporal evolutions of the six basic expressions are discussed. The presented investigations demonstrate the superior performance of 3D-DIC in the quantitative analysis of facial expressions. The proposed analytical strategy might have potential value in objectively characterizing human expressions based on quantitative measurement.

Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) offers a wealth of information regarding human skin. In this study, we established a dynamic skin spectral reflectance model (DSSR) relating the reflectance to skin surface strain, considering multi physiological and physical parameters of the skin. Experimentally, by HSI, we measured the reflectance variance of the forearm skin in vivo caused by the surface strain, and assessed these key parameters. For the human skin in vivo, within the strain range covered in this paper, stretching increases spectral reflectance, while compression decreases it. Our proposed model provides a possibility for non-contact strain measurement and health monitoring on the skin in vivo based on HSI.

BACKGROUND: Optimizing biochar application is vital for enhancing crop production and ensuring sustainable agricultural production. A 3-year field experiment was established to explore the effects of varying the biochar application rate (BAR) on crop growth, quality, productivity and yields. BAR was set at 0, 10, 50 and 100 t ha-1 in 2018; 0, 10, 25, 50 and 100 t ha-1 in 2019; and 0, 10, 25 and 30 t ha-1 in 2020. Crop quality and growth status and production were evaluated using the dynamic technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution with the entropy weighted method (DTOPSIS-EW), principal component analysis (PCA), membership function analysis (MFA), gray relation analysis (GRA) and the fuzzy Borda combination evaluation method. RESULTS: Low-dose BAR (≤ 25 t ha-1 for cotton; ≤ 50 t ha-1 for sugar beet) effectively increased biomass, plant height, leaf area index (LAI), water and fertility (N, P and K) productivities, and yield. Biochar application increased the salt absorption and sugar content in sugar beet, with the most notable increases being 116.45% and 20.35%, respectively. Conversely, BAR had no significant effect on cotton fiber quality. The GRA method was the most appropriate for assessing crop growth and quality. The most indicative parameters for reflecting cotton and sugarbeet growth and quality status were biomass and LAI. The 10 t ha-1 BAR consistently produced the highest scores and was the most economically viable option, as evaluated by DTOPSIS-EW. CONCLUSION: The optimal biochar application strategy for improving cotton and sugar beet cultivation in Xinjiang, China, is 10 t ha-1 biochar applied continuously. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry.

OBJECTIVE: Insomnia is a common sleep disorder, often associated with some mental disorders or mental health concerns, especially when accompanied by depression or anxiety, but very limited research has been reported in China. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of insomnia and associations with depression, anxiety in Chinese adults. METHODS: We conducted this large-sample cross-sectional study (51774 adults) in Guangdong province from October to December 2022. We used multistage stratified equal-volume random sampling under a complex sampling design to select the sample and standardized structured questionnaires to collect the necessary information. Descriptive analysis and logistic regression model were used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: The weighted prevalence of insomnia was 24.8 %. Insomnia was significantly associated with depression (OR:11.29, 95 %CI: 9.58-13.29), and anxiety (OR:10.98, 95 %CI: 8.78-13.72). Risk factors as being associated with insomnia were female, higher years of education, suffering from chronic diseases, previous drinking and current drinking, while protective factors were living in a rural area, married or cohabited, divorce or separation and being older. Risk factors as being associated with depression in the insomnia group included 10-16 years of education and suffering from chronic diseases, while protective factors were being older, married or cohabited, and normal BMI. Risk factors associated with anxiety in the insomnia group included 7-12 years of education and suffering from chronic diseases, while protective factors were being older, married or cohabited, and having a normal BMI. CONCLUSIONS: Insomnia is associated with the development of depression and anxiety. Women and unhealthy lifestyle were at high risk for insomnia, had chronic diseases is an important factor, and insomnia with depression or anxiety.

BACKGROUND: There is little evidence on the association between patterns of unhealthy lifestyle and mental health among young adults. METHOD: This study included a total of 28,978 young adults aged 18 to 44 years old in Guangdong province in south China, which was conducted from September to December in 2022. We used latent class analysis to classify the patterns of unhealthy lifestyle among young adults and used multiple logistic regression to explore their associations with depressive and anxiety symptoms. RESULT: The weighted prevalence of depressive and anxiety symptoms were 28.0 % and 19.5 %, respectively. The cumulative effect of unhealthy lifestyles on depressive and anxiety symptoms was significant. Five patterns of unhealthy lifestyle were classified. Compared to the relatively healthy lifestyle class, the class with more unhealthy lifestyles (OR = 6.54, 95 % CI: 5.70-7.51) and insufficient sleep (OR = 6.16, 95 % CI: 4.92-7.70) had higher risk for depressive and anxiety symptoms. Meaningfully, having adequate mental health literacy could reduce the risk of depressive and anxiety symptoms from unhealthy lifestyle by half. LIMITATIONS: The cross-section design study limited causal inferences, and the self-report information may lead to recall bias. CONCLUSIONS: Unhealthy lifestyles have a negative impact on depressive and anxiety symptoms through independent, cumulative and combined effects, and they could be interrelated. Unhealthy lifestyle patterns differed in younger population by socio-demographic characteristics and mental health literacy. Health-care professionals and policymakers may provide programs to intervene multiple unhealthy lifestyles and improve mental health literacy by integrating healthy lifestyle education to promote youngers' mental health.

BACKGROUND: Mental disorders and cognitive impairment are common in older patients with arthritis. While it is recognized that mental conditions may play a role in the connection between arthritis and cognitive impairment, the precise underlying relationship remains uncertain. METHODS: The data was derived from the baseline survey of the Guangdong Mental Health Survey in South China, involving a sample of 3,764 citizens aged 65 and older. An array of aspects were explored, including socio-demographics, lifestyle behaviors, self-reported chronic conditions, depression, anxiety, and cognitive impairment. Logistic regression analyses examined the association between arthritis and cognitive impairment after adjustment for potential confounders. Serial mediation models were used to examine whether depression or anxiety played a mediating role in the arthritis-cognitive impairment linkage. RESULTS: The prevalence rates of cognitive impairment and arthritis of the older adults were 28.9% and 12.1%, respectively. Compared to those without arthritis, participants with arthritis were at a higher risk of cognitive impairment (OR = 1.322, 95%CI: 1.022-1.709) after adjustment for socio-demographics, lifestyle behaviors, and mental health conditions. Serial mediation analyses indicated that depressive and anxiety symptoms co-played a serial mediating role in the association between arthritis and cognitive impairment (B1 = 0.025, 95%CI: 0.005-0.052; B2 = 0.050, 95%CI: 0.021-0.086). CONCLUSIONS: Arthritis may heighten cognitive impairment risk in Chinese older adults, and the relationship was potentially mediated by depressive and anxiety symptoms. Future interventions should be considered, integrating mental health assessments into arthritis care frameworks and being alert to possible cognitive impairment.

The inadequate quantity of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in cancer cells promptly results in the constrained success of chemodynamic therapy (CDT). Significant efforts made throughout the years; nevertheless, researchers are still facing the great challenge of designing a CDT agent and securing H2O2 supply within the tumor cell. In this study, taking advantage of H2O2 level maintenance mechanism in cancer cells, a nanozyme-based bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) tandem reactor is fabricated to elevate intracellular H2O2 levels, thereby enhancing CDT. In addition, under near-infrared excitation, the upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) loaded into the MOFs can perform photocatalysis and generate hydrogen, which increases cellular susceptibility to radicals induced from H2O2, inhibits cancer cell energy, causes DNA damages and induces tumor cell apoptosis, thus improving CDT therapeutic efficacy synergistically. The proposed nanozyme-based bimetallic MOFs-mediated CDT and UCNPs-mediated hydrogen therapy act as combined therapy with high efficacy and low toxicity.

Despite the considerable advancements in fabricating polymeric-based scaffolds for tissue engineering, the clinical transformation of these scaffolds remained a big challenge because of the difficulty of simulating native organs/tissues' microenvironment. As a kind of natural tissue-derived biomaterials, decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM)-based scaffolds have gained attention due to their unique biomimetic properties, providing a specific microenvironment suitable for promoting cell proliferation, migration, attachment and regulating differentiation. The medical applications of dECM-based scaffolds have addressed critical challenges, including poor mechanical strength and insufficient stability. For promoting the reconstruction of damaged tissues or organs, different types of dECM-based composite platforms have been designed to mimic tissue microenvironment, including by integrating with natural polymer or/and syntenic polymer or adding bioactive factors. In this review, we summarized the research progress of dECM-based composite scaffolds in regenerative medicine, highlighting the critical challenges and future perspectives related to the medical application of these composite materials.

Over the years, bioinspired mineralization-based approaches have been applied to synthesize multifunctional organic-inorganic nanocomposites. These nanocomposites can address the growing demands of modern biomedical applications. Proteins, serving as vital biological templates, play a pivotal role in the nucleation and growth processes of various organic-inorganic nanocomposites. Protein-mineralized nanomaterials (PMNMs) have attracted significant interest from researchers due to their facile and convenient preparation, strong physiological activity, stability, impressive biocompatibility, and biodegradability. Nevertheless, few comprehensive reviews have expounded on the progress of these nanomaterials in biomedicine. This article systematically reviews the principles and strategies for constructing nanomaterials using protein-directed biomineralization and biomimetic mineralization techniques. Subsequently, we focus on their recent applications in the biomedical field, encompassing areas such as bioimaging, as well as anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory therapies. Furthermore, we discuss the challenges encountered in practical applications of these materials and explore their potential in future applications. This review aspired to catalyze the continued development of these bioinspired nanomaterials in drug development and clinical diagnosis, ultimately contributing to the fields of precision medicine and translational medicine.

INTRODUCTION: Much confusion exists between health-related QoL (HRQoL) scales and subjective QoL (SQoL) scales. One method to avoid confusion is use of a single question that asks What is your quality of life? or similar. This study explored the relationship between biopsychosocial factors and high SQoL, SQoL stability, and factors associated with improving SQoL. METHOD: We conducted a large cohort study of community-dwelling Chinese adults with schizophrenia, with two data points (2015-2016 (N = 742), 2017-2018 (N = 491)). Demographic and clinically related items and a comprehensive suite of published measures were collected. Direct logistic regressions were used to explore links between biopsychosocial factors and high SQoL and Improvement in SQoL across time. RESULTS: Sample at Baseline: Male = 62.3%; Med age = 38.5 years; Med Age at illness onset = 24 years; SQoL Mode = neither poor nor good. Three independent variables predicted high SQoL at T1. Contemporary age and the presence of clinically relevant symptoms had a negative relationship with high SQoL; insight had a positive relationship with high SQoL. SQoL changed significantly across time with a modest effect size. Age at illness onset was the single independent variable linked to improving SQoL favoring being older at the time of illness onset. DISCUSSION/CONCLUSIONS: SQoL can be high and changeable. While symptomology and illness insight may affect SQoL self-appraisals at single points in time, only age of illness onset was connected with improving SQoL. Thus, public health measures to delay illness onset are important. In addition, care about the distinction between HRQoL and SQoL in study design and choice of measures is necessary and will depend on the purpose and context.

2D MXene-Ti3 C2 Tx holds great promise in various electronic applications, especially for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding devices and supercapacitors. Ti3 C2 Tx synthesis typically involves the use of hazardous fluorine-containing chemicals that can result in the formation of inert fluoride functional groups on the surface of Ti3 C2 Tx , severely degrading its properties and posing a threat to the performance of electron transfer among electrical devices. Herein, a supercritical carbon dioxide-based ternary solution (scCO2 /DMSO/HCl) to produce fluoride-free Ti3 C2 Tx in mild conditions (via 0.5 m HCl, 20 MPa, 32 °C) is reported. The fluorine-free Ti3 C2 Tx films electrode presents an excellent gravimetric capacitance of 320 F g-1 at 2 mV s-1 in 1 m H2 SO4 . Besides, it is demonstrated that fluorine-free Ti3 C2 Tx films exhibit outstanding EMI shielding efficiency of 53.12 dB at 2.5 µm thickness. The findings offer a mild and practical approach to producing fluoride-free Ti3 C2 Tx and open opportunities for exploring MXenes' potential applications in various fields.

Despite their unique characteristics, 2D MXenes with sole photothermal conversion ability are required to explore their superfluous abilities in biomedicine. The small-molecule-based chemotherapeutics suffer from various shortcomings of time-consuming and expensiveness concerning theoretical and performance (preclinical/clinical) checks. This study demonstrates the fabrication of Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets (TC-MX NSs) and subsequent decoration with transition metal oxides, that is, copper oxide (Cu2O/MX, CO-MX NCs) as drugless nanoarchitectonics for synergistic photothermal (PTT)-chemodynamic therapeutic (CDT) efficacies. Initially, the monolayer/few-layered TC-MX NSs are prepared using the chemical etching-assisted ultrasonic exfoliation method and then deposited with Cu2O nanoconstructs using the in situ reduction method. Further, the photothermal ablation under near-infrared (NIR)-II laser irradiation shows PTT effects of CO-MX NCs. The deposited Cu2O on TC-MX NSs facilitates the release of copper (Cu+) ions in the acidic microenvironment intracellularly for Fenton-like reaction-assisted CDT effects and enriched PTT effects synergistically. Mechanistically, these deadly free radicals intracellularly imbalance the glutathione (GSH) levels and result in mitochondrial dysfunction, inducing apoptosis of 4T1 cells. Finally, the in vivo investigations in BALB/c mice confirm the substantial ablation of breast carcinoma. Together, these findings demonstrate the potential synergistic PTT-CDT effects of the designed CO-MX NCs as drugless nanoarchitectonics against breast carcinoma.

The current strategy of co-delivering copper ions and disulfiram (DSF) to generate cytotoxic CuET faces limitations in achieving rapid and substantial CuET production, specifically in tumor lesions. To overcome this challenge, we introduce a novel burst-release cascade reactor composed of phase change materials (PCMs) encapsulating ultrasmall Cu2-xSe nanoparticles (NPs) and DSF (DSF/Cu2-xSe@PCM). Once triggered by second near-infrared (NIR-II) light irradiation, the reactor swiftly releases Cu2-xSe NPs and DSF, enabling catalytic reactions that lead to the rapid and massive production of Cu2-xSe-ET complexes, thereby achieving in situ chemotherapy. The mechanism of the burst reaction is due to the unique properties of ultrasmall Cu2-xSe NPs, including their small size, multiple defects, and high surface activity. These characteristics allow DSF to be directly reduced and chelated on the surface defect sites of Cu2-xSe, forming Cu2-xSe-ET complexes without the need for copper ion release. Additionally, Cu2-xSe-ET has demonstrated a similar (to CuET) anti-tumor activity through increased autophagy, but with even greater potency due to its unique two-dimensional-like structure. The light-triggered cascade of interlocking reactions, coupled with in situ explosive generation of tumor-suppressive substances mediated by the size and valence of Cu2-xSe, presents a promising approach for the development of innovative nanoplatforms in the field of precise tumor chemotherapy.

Enhancing anisotropy through an effective synergistic arrangement of anionic and cationic groups is crucial for improving the birefringence optical properties of materials. In this work, by transforming I-O into I-F through the fluorination strategy, two metal-free guanidine fluorooxoiodates (C(NH2)3)2(I2O5F)(IO3)(H2O) and C(NH2)3IO2F2 and one guanidine iodate C(NH2)3IO3 were successfully synthesized using the hydrothermal method. An unprecedented dimer [I2O5F] formed by [IO3F] and [IO3] in (C(NH2)3)2(I2O5F)(IO3)(H2O) was found, which greatly enriches the structural diversity of fluorooxoiodates. All three compounds feature a relatively large birefringence (Δn = 0.068, 0.110 and 0.075 at 546 nm) and a short ultraviolet cutoff edge. The theoretical calculation was carried out to understand the electronic structures and linear optical properties.

Borates are favored by materials scientists and chemists because of the significant electronegativity difference between B and O atoms and their flexible assembly modes resulting in abundant structures and excellent properties. For the design of deep-ultraviolet (DUV) optical crystals with excellent macroscopic performance, it is crucial to choose appropriate cations and anionic groups and microscopically reasonable assembly patterns. Herein, by introducing covalent tetrahedra ([MO4], M = Mg, Al), two new mixed alkali metal and alkaline earth metal borates, Rb3MgB5O10 and LiBaAl(BO3)2, were synthesized using the melt method and high-temperature solution method. They contain M-B-O two-dimensional (2D) layers (2∞[MgB5O10] and 2∞[Al(BO3)2], respectively) composed of isolated B-O groups ([B5O10]5- and [BO3]3-, respectively) and metal-centered tetrahedral connectors ([MgO4]6- and [AlO4]5-, respectively). Combining experiments and theoretical calculations shows that the two compounds have short cutoff edges (<200 nm) and moderate birefringences. Further analysis manifests that the isolated [MO4] covalent tetrahedra can optimize the arrangement of anion groups, guarantee the balanced optical properties of materials, and point out the direction for further exploration of novel borate structures.

BACKGROUND: To determine the prevalence of depression and anxiety among older adults in China, and explore the associated factors. METHODS: This cross-sectional study recruited participants between October 2022 and December 2022. The sample collection utilized a multi-stage stratified equal probability random sampling method. This study included 8436 older adults who underwent interviews utilizing standardized assessment instruments. The assessment of depressive symptoms employed the Patient Health Questionnaire 9, while the evaluation of anxiety utilized the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7. Multivariate logistic regression was conducted to determine the odds ratio and 95 % confidence interval (CI). RESULTS: The weighted prevalence rates for depression and anxiety were 2.79 % (95 % CI: 2.38 %-3.28 %) and 1.39 % (95 % CI: 1.12 %-1.74 %), respectively. Older adults who were female, widowed, had irregular dietary habits, spent <1 h per day using electronic devices for socializing and entertainment, engaged in >8 h of sedentary behavior per day, and had chronic diseases (cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, insomnia, and Chronic gastroenteritis) displayed a higher likelihood of encountering symptoms indicative of depression and anxiety. Conversely, older adults living in rural areas and those who walked daily were less prone to experience symptoms of depression and anxiety. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that the psychological well-being of older adults should be cared for when treating chronic diseases. Moreover, families, communities, and clinics should recognize that supporting regular diets, providing social engagement and recreational activities, encouraging physical activity, and minimizing sedentary behavior can reduce the risk of depression and anxiety.

Purpose: Although there is previous evidence supporting that ultra-high risk (UHR) for psychosis transformation is associated with NRG1, DAOA, and DISC1 genes, there have been no relevant studies in the Chinese population. The objective of the current study was to explore the gene polymorphism and expression of NRG1, DAOA, and DISC1 genes in a Han population with UHR for psychosis in China. Methods: Eighteen UHR individuals, 61 first-degree relatives of patients with schizophrenia (FDR), 55 first-episode psychosis individuals (FEP), and 61 healthy controls (HC) were enrolled in the study. The genotypes at four loci of the NRG1 gene, four loci of the DAOA gene, and two loci of the DISC1 gene were tested for all subjects, and mRNAs of NRG1 and DISC1 were examined and analyzed in a pairwise comparison among the four groups. Statistical analysis of genetics was performed using snpStats software. For the case-control association analysis, a single site association study, epistatic effect analysis, and haplotype analysis were used to explore the association of the above genes. Results: This study found that rs3918341 in the DAOA gene was associated with susceptibility to UHR by single site association analysis. Epistatic effect analysis results showed that the NRG1 gene interacted with the DAOA gene and DISC1 gene in the susceptibility to UHR. Haplotype association analysis showed that all haplotypes were not significantly associated with UHR. NRG1 mRNA was significantly downregulated in the UHR group compared with the HC group as well as the FEP group. Conclusion: Our preliminary results show that NRG1, DAOA, and DISC1 genes may play a role in psychosis onset, opening the way to the identification of prognostic biomarkers.

Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in modern society. Accurate modeling and prognosis are fundamental to achieving reliable operation of lithium-ion batteries. Accurately predicting the end-of-discharge (EOD) is critical for operations and decision-making when they are deployed to critical missions. Existing data-driven methods have large model parameters, which require a large amount of labeled data and the models are not interpretable. Model-based methods need to know many parameters related to battery design, and the models are difficult to solve. To bridge these gaps, this study proposes a physics-informed neural network (PINN), called battery neural network (BattNN), for battery modeling and prognosis. Specifically, we propose to design the structure of BattNN based on the equivalent circuit model (ECM). Therefore, the entire BattNN is completely constrained by physics. Its forward propagation process follows the physical laws, and the model is inherently interpretable. To validate the proposed method, we conduct the discharge experiments under random loading profiles and develop our dataset. Analysis and experiments show that the proposed BattNN only needs approximately 30 samples for training, and the average required training time is 21.5 s. Experimental results on three datasets show that our method can achieve high prediction accuracy with only a few learnable parameters. Compared with other neural networks, the prediction MAEs of our BattNN are reduced by 77.1%, 67.4%, and 75.0% on three datasets, respectively. Bacterial infections cause severe health conditions, resulting in a significant economic burden for the public health system. Although natural phytochemicals are considered promising anti-bacterial agents, they suffer from several limitations, such as poor water solubility and low bioavailability in vivo, severely restricting their wide application. Herein, we constructed a near-infrared (NIR)-responsive carrier-free berberine hydrochloride (BH, phytochemicals)/indocyanine green (ICG, photosensitizer) nanoparticles (BI NPs) for synergistic antibacterial of an infected wound. Through electrostatic interaction and π-π stacking, the hydrophobic BH and amphiphilic ICG are initially self-assembled to generate carrier-free nanoparticles. The obtained BI NPs demonstrated NIR-responsive drug release behavior and better photothermal conversion efficiency of up to 36%. In addition, BI NPs stimulated by NIR laser exhibited remarkable antibacterial activity, which realized the synergistic antibacterial treatment and promoted infected wound healing. In summary, the current research results provided a candidate strategy for self-assembling new BI NPs to treat bacterial infections synergistically.

The settlement of microorganisms is an unwanted process in various practical fields, where also the first attaching microorganisms could promote other bacterial adhesion, causing an acceleration of bioaccumulation on the solid surface and damage to the surface functions. Developing an advanced composite coating with anti-microorganism attachment features is still a big challenge, and the critical element in any such method is to find an efficient functional agent for use in the coating system that could extend the service period. MXenes have received increasing attentions owing to their unique layer structure and large specific surface area. Increasing studies have been devoted to the development of MXene/polymer composites with creatively designed structures to realize various specific functions. Herein, two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbide material MXene as a carrier was etched and decorated with cellulose to enhance the anchor points to grasp functional Ag nanoparticles via a simple method. The MXene nanosheets (Ti3C2Tx) were modified by cellulose to graft hydroxy groups on their surface, and then they were incorporated into silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs). The results showed that the cellulose could increase the loading content of the Ag NPs on the MXene surface, and also could act as a stabilized material to form the composite filler MXene@cellulose@Ag NPs (MAC), which could serve as a functional agent. Furthermore, the obtained product MAC filler exhibited excellent dispersibility and stability among all the tested fillers (MXene and MA), and it could help avoid aggregation and promote homogenous dispersal in the coating network. Besides, MAC displayed outstanding antibacterial activities against E. coli and S. aureus at the same concentration among all the fillers. When the filler was embedded into the coating system, the composite coating PCB-MAC possessed abundant active Ag+ ions released by the Ag NPs, which could work against bacterial growth and achieve a favorable antibacterial inhibition effect. Therefore, we believe that the active MAC filler maintained high antibacterial efficiency, evincing its potential as a desirable agent for obtaining an excellent anti-adhesive behavior in numerous broad applications, such as the environment field or medical area.
