RESUMO

Molecular tellurium (130Te2) has long been regarded as a promising candidate for a variety of spectroscopic applications, especially as a frequency reference. Absorption lines of 130Te2 were published extensively in the past few decades, however, the spectral resolution was not sufficiently high to be considered a precision spectroscopic reference. Here, a high resolution spectral atlas of 130Te2 Doppler-free saturated absorption transitions is reported, and used to assign multiple ro-vibrational bands in the B(Σu-3)0u+←X(Σu-3)0g+ electronic transition via the Dunham model, giving updated Dunham parameters and diatomic constants for the B(Σu-3)0u+ state at an unprecedented level of precision. Our findings reveal spectroscopic properties of 130Te2 that might eventually contribute to frequency reference in precision measurement such as the quest for non-zero electron's Electric Dipole Moment (eEDM).

RESUMO

As an important timber genus with high economic and ecological values, Populus is a model for dissecting the genetic architecture of growth traits in perennial forest trees. However, the genetic mechanisms of longitudinal growth traits in poplar remain incompletely understood. In this study, we conducted longitudinal genetic analysis of height and diameter at breast height (DBH) in eleven-year poplar clones using ultra-deep sequencing datasets. We compared four S-shaped growth models, including asymptotic, Gompertz, logistic, and Richard, on eleven-year height and DBH records in terms of five metrics. We constructed the best-fitting growth model (Richard) and determined poplar ontogenetic stages by virtue of growth curve fitting and likelihood ratio testing. This study provides some scientific clues for temporal variation of longitudinal growth traits in Populus species.

RESUMO

As renewable energy becomes increasingly dominant in the energy mix, the power system is evolving towards high proportions of renewable energy installations and power electronics-based equipment. This transition introduces significant challenges to the grid's safe and stable operation. On the one hand, renewable energy generation equipment inherently provides weak voltage support, necessitating improvements in the voltage support capacity at renewable energy grid points. This situation leads to frequent curtailments and power limitations. On the other hand, the output of renewable energy is characterized by its volatility and randomness, resulting in substantial power curtailment. The joint intelligent control and optimization technology of "renewable energy + energy storage + synchronous condenser" can effectively enhance the deliverable capacity limits of renewable energy, boost its utilization rates, and meet the demands for renewable energy transmission and consumption. Initially, the paper discusses the mechanism by which distributed synchronous condensers improve the short-circuit ratio based on the MRSCR (Multiple Renewable Energy Station Short-Circuits Ratio) index. Subsequently, with the minimum total cost of system operation as the optimization objective, a time-series production simulation optimization model is established. A corresponding optimization method, considering the joint configuration of "renewable energy + energy storage + synchronous condenser," is proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through common calculations using BPA, SCCP, and the production simulation model, considering a real-world example involving large-scale renewable and thermal energy transmission through an AC/DC system. The study reveals that the joint intelligent control and optimization technology can enhance both the sending and absorbing capacities of renewable energy while yielding favorable economic benefits.

RESUMO

MADS-box transcription factors play important roles in many organisms. These transcription factors are involved in processes such as the formation of the flower organ structure and the seed development of plants. Ginkgo biloba has two genome versions (version 2019 and version 2021), and there is no analysis or comparison of the MADS-box gene family in these two genomes. In this study, 26 and 20 MADS-box genes were identified from the two genomes of Ginkgo, of which 12 pairs of genes reached more than 80% similarity. According to our phylogenetic analysis results, we divided these genes into type I (Mα and Mγ subfamilies) and type II (MIKC and Mδ subfamilies) members. We found that both sets of genomes lacked the Mß gene, while the MIKC gene was the most numerous. Further analysis of the gene structure showed that the MIKC genes in the two genomes had extralong introns (≥20 kb); these introns had different splicing patterns, and their expression might be more abundant. The gene expression analysis proved that GbMADS genes were expressed to varying degrees in eight Ginkgo biological tissues. Type II GbMADS genes not only were found to be related to female flower bud differentiation and development but also are important in seed development. Therefore, MADS-box genes may play important roles in the development of Ginkgo reproductive organs, which may suggest a genetic role in sexual differentiation. This study further contributes to the research on MADS-box genes and provides new insights into sex determination in Ginkgo.

RESUMO

Alkaline-earth-metal monohydrides MH (M = Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) have long been regarded as promising candidates toward laser cooling and trapping; however, their rich internal level structures that are amenable to magneto-optical trapping have not been completely explored. Here, we first systematically evaluated Franck-Condon factors of these alkaline-earth-metal monohydrides in the A2Π1/2 ← X2Σ+ transition, exploiting three respective methods (the Morse potential, the closed-form approximation, and the Rydberg-Klein-Rees method). The effective Hamiltonian matrix was introduced for MgH, CaH, SrH, and BaH individually in order to figure out their molecular hyperfine structures of X2Σ+, the transition wavelengths in the vacuum, and hyperfine branching ratios of A2Π1/2(J' = 1/2,+) ← X2Σ+(N = 1,-), followed by possible sideband modulation proposals to address all hyperfine manifolds. Lastly, the Zeeman energy level structures and associated magnetic g factors of the ground state X2Σ+(N = 1,-) were also presented. Our theoretical results here not only shed more light on the molecular spectroscopy of alkaline-earth-metal monohydrides toward laser cooling and magneto-optical trapping but also can contribute to research in molecular collisions involving few-atom molecular systems, spectral analysis in astrophysics and astrochemistry, and even precision measurement of fundamental constants such as the quest for nonzero detection of electron's electric dipole moment.

RESUMO

Molecular tellurium (Te2) offers a wide range of potential applications, including frequency reference. Spectroscopic results about the 130Te2 spectrum were previously reported, but few lines lie around the PbF transition of A (2Σ+) (υ' = 0) â† X12Π1/2 (υ = 0) (∼444.4 nm) which is regarded as an eEDM (electron's Electric Dipole Moment) sensitive transition. Here electronic transition lines for 130Te2 were determined using the Saturated Absorption Spectroscopy method, where the origin of the transition band was investigated for the B1 (3Σu-)0u+ (υ' = 10) â† X1 (3Σg-)0g+ (υ = 5) transition. The Dunham model with high orders was utilized to assign these transition lines, while Dunham parameters of the excited state B1 (υ' = 10) were updated to a new level. The Toptica TA-SHG Pro laser was then locked to a single absorption line using a P-I servo. Our results here not only provide the assigned atlas of Te2 spectrum near 444.4 nm, but also contribute to a stable and sensitive spectroscopic detection of PbF molecules toward the eEDM measurement, which is significant in understanding the fundamental physics beyond the Standard Model.

RESUMO

Better decisions are made using risk assessment models when uncertainty and variability are explicitly acknowledged. Uncertainty caused by a lack of uniform and scientifically supported environmental quality guidelines and variability in the degree of exposure of environmental systems to contaminants are here incorporated in a stochastic fuzzy environmental risk characterization (SFERC) approach. The approach is based on quotient probability distribution and environmental risk level fuzzy membership function methods. The SFERC framework was used to characterize the environmental risks posed by 16 priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soil at a typical petroleum-contaminated site in China. This relied on integrating data from the literature and field and laboratory experiments. The environmental risk levels posed by the PAHs under four risk scenarios were determined using the SFERC approach, using "residential land" and "industrial land" environmental quality guidelines under "loose" and "strict" strictness parameters. The results showed that environmental risks posed by PAHs in soil are primarily caused by oil exploitation, traffic emissions, and coal combustion. The SFERC approach is an effective tool for characterizing uncertainty and variability in environmental risk assessments and for managing contaminated sites.
