RESUMO

Sn-Ge mixed perovskites have been proposed as promising lead-free candidates in the photovoltaics (PV) field. In this work, we discovered a stable P1 phase Sn-Ge mixed structure (CsSn0.5Ge0.5I3) with an appropriate band gap value of 1.19 eV, which manifests its unique structural stability and physics properties. The thermodynamic stability of this mixed structure under different growth conditions and all possible native defects are depicted in detail. The formation energies and dominant native point defects indicate that P1 phase CsSn0.5Ge0.5I3 exhibits unipolar self-doping behavior (p-type conductivity) and good defect tolerance while the growth condition changes. In addition, the calculation of light absorption confirmed that the P1 phase has a higher light absorption coefficient than that of MAPbI3 in the visible light range, showing excellent light absorption. Our work not only provides theoretical guidance for unraveling the unusual structural stability of Sn-Ge mixed perovskites, but also offers a useful scheme to modulate the stability and optoelectronic properties of Ge-based perovskites through alloy engineering.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to translate the French version of a perioperative satisfaction questionnaire (EVAN-G) scale, a validated questionnaire for assessing perioperative patient satisfaction, into a Chinese version and validate it in Chinese-speaking patients. METHODS: We developed the Chinese version of the EVAN-G (EVAN-GC) scale based on the original French version of the EVAN-G. The EVAN-GC scale, the Short version of the Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (S-STAI), and the McGill pain questionnaire (MGPQ) were administered on the WeChat mini program. We invited patients to complete these questionnaires within 4 to 24 h after surgery. The psychometric validation of the EVAN-GC scale included validity, reliability, and acceptability. RESULTS: Among 220 patients, 217 (98.6%) completed the EVAN-GC scale after surgery. The item-internal consistency revealed good construct validity. Compared with the total scores of the S-STAI and MGPQ, the EVAN-GC scale showed excellent convergent validity (ρ = - 0.32, P < 0.001; ρ = - 0.29, P < 0.001). The EVAN-GC scale could differentiate between groups, which showed good discriminate validity. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.85) of the translated scale demonstrated satisfactory internal consistency reliability, and a 36-patient subsample retest evidenced good test-retest reliability (ρ = 0.82, P < 0.001). In addition, the median [interquartile range] time of completing the EVAN-GC scale was 3.7 [2.9-4.9] min. CONCLUSIONS: The EVAN-GC scale has good psychometric properties similar to those of the original French version. The EVAN-GC scale is a valid and reliable measurement to assess patient satisfaction in Chinese-speaking patients. TRIAL REGISTRATION: The Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, ChiCTR2100049555.

RESUMO

Accurate and rapid identification of the effective number of panicles per unit area is crucial for the assessment of rice yield. As part of agricultural development, manual observation of effective panicles in the paddy field is being replaced by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) imaging combined with target detection modeling. However, UAV images of panicles of curved hybrid Indica rice in complex field environments are characterized by overlapping, blocking, and dense distribution, imposing challenges on rice panicle detection models. This paper proposes a universal curved panicle detection method by combining UAV images of different types of hybrid Indica rice panicles (leaf-above-spike, spike-above-leaf, and middle type) from four ecological sites using an improved You Only Look Once version 4 (YOLOv4) model. MobileNetv2 is used as the backbone feature extraction network based on a lightweight model in addition to a focal loss and convolutional block attention module for improved detection of curved rice panicles of different varieties. Moreover, soft non-maximum suppression is used to address rice panicle occlusion in the dataset. This model yields a single image detection rate of 44.46 FPS, and mean average precision, recall, and F1 values of 90.32%, 82.36%, and 0.89%, respectively. This represents an increase of 6.2%, 0.12%, and 16.24% from those of the original YOLOv4 model, respectively. The model exhibits superior performance in identifying different strain types in mixed and independent datasets, indicating its feasibility as a general model for detection of different types of rice panicles in the heading stage.

RESUMO

The optoelectronic properties of layered α-MoO3 are greatly limited due to its wide band gap and low carrier concentration. The insertion of hydrogen (H) can effectively tune the band structure and carrier concentration of MoO3. Herein, first-principles calculations were performed to unravel the physical mechanism of a H-doped α-MoO3 system. We found that the modulation of the electronic structure of H-doped MoO3 depends on the doping concentration and position of the H atoms. It was found that the band gap decreases at 8% doping concentration due to the strong coupling between Mo-4d and O-2p orbits when H atoms are inserted into the interlayer. More interestingly, the band gap decreases to an extreme due to the Mo-4d orbit when all the H atoms are inserted into the intralayer only, which has a remarkable effect on light absorption. Our research provides a comprehensive theoretical discussion on the mechanism of H-doped α-MoO3 from the doping positions and doping concentrations, and offers useful strategies on doping modulation of the photoelectric properties of layered transition metal oxides.

RESUMO

Yield in rice is determined mainly by panicle architecture. Using map-based cloning, we identified an R2R3 MYB transcription factor REGULATOR OF GRAIN NUMBER1 (RGN1) affecting grain number and panicle architecture. Mutation of RGN1 caused an absence of lateral grains on secondary branches. We demonstrated that RGN1 controls lateral grain formation by regulation of LONELY GUY (LOG) expression, thus controlling grain number and shaping panicle architecture. A novel favourable allele, RGN1C , derived from the Or-I group in wild rice affected panicle architecture by means longer panicles. Identification of RGN1 provides a theoretical basis for understanding the molecular mechanism of lateral grain formation in rice; RGN1 will be an important gene resource for molecular breeding for higher yield.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The prevention and prognosis of the onset or recurrence of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a difficult problem in contemporary research. METHODS: In this study, peripheral blood samples were collected from seven patients with AMI and nine healthy adults, and exosome microRNAs (miRNAs) were extracted. The miRNA differential expression profiles of serum exosomes in patients with AMI were obtained by using the next-generation sequencing technology combined with bioinformatics analysis. Reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to verify the primary screening of differential exosome miRNAs to reveal the possible mechanism of their action on AMI. RESULTS: Compared with healthy individuals, 544 miRNAs were upregulated and 518 miRNAs were downregulated in AMI patients preoperatively. Among these miRNAs, we selected miR-6718 and miR-4329 for qPCR verification. The expression of miR6718 and miR-4329 in patients with myocardial infarction was significantly lower than that in normal controls.

RESUMO

Bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) are the most commonly investigated progenitor cells in bone defect repair and osteoarthritis subchondral bone regeneration; however, these studies are limited by complex inflammatory conditions. In this study, we investigated whether pro-autophagic γ-aminobutyric acid receptor-associated protein (GABARAP) promotes BMSCs proliferation and osteogenic differentiation by modulating autophagy in the presence or absence of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1ß) in vitro. The expression levels of all relevant factors were evaluated by qRT-PCR or western blotting where appropriate. BMSCs differentiation were assessed by Alizarin Red, alkaline phosphatase, safranin O, and Oil Red O staining. Furthermore, the interactions between autophagy and osteogenic differentiation were investigated by co-treatment with the autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine (3-MA). As the results, we found that treatment with recombinant human His6-GABARAP protein promoted cell proliferation, inhibited apoptosis, and reduced ROS generation by increasing autophagic activity, particularly when co-cultured with IL-1ß. Moreover, His6-GABARAP could effectively increase the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. The expression levels of inflammatory factors were significantly decreased by His6-GABARAP treatment, whereas its protective effects were attenuated by 3-MA. This study demonstrates that GABARAP maintains BMSCs survival and strengthens their osteogenic differentiation in an inflammatory environment by upregulating mediators of the autophagy pathway.
