RESUMO

BACKGROUND & AIMS: Nonampullary duodenal neuroendocrine tumors (NAD-NETs) are rare with limited evidence regarding endoscopic treatment. The study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic resection of well-differentiated NAD-NETs and evaluate long-term outcomes, including local recurrence and metastasis. METHODS: A total of 78 patients with NAD-NETs who underwent endoscopic resection between January 2011 and August 2022 were included. The clinicopathologic characteristics and treatment outcomes were collected and analyzed. RESULTS: En bloc resection was achieved for 74 of the tumors (94.9%) and R0 resection was obtained in 68 of the tumors (87.2%). Univariate analysis identified tumors in the second part of the duodenum, tumor size ≥ 10 mm and muscularis propria invasion as risk factors for non-curative resection. Two patients with R1 resection (vertical margin involvement) and two patients with lymphovascular invasion underwent additional surgery. Four patients experienced adverse events (5.1%), including two cases of delayed bleeding and two cases of perforation, all successfully managed conservatively. During a median follow-up period of 62.6 months, recurrence and lymph node metastasis were only detected in one patient with R1 resection 3 months after the original procedure. CONCLUSION: Endoscopic resection is safe and effective and provides a favorable long-term outcome for patients with well-differentiated NAD-NETs without regional lymph node or distant metastasis.

RESUMO

Background: Microvascular complications, such as diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic nephropathy (DN), and macrovascular complications, referring to atherosclerosis (AS), are the main complications of diabetes. Blindness or fatal microvascular diseases are considered to be identified earlier than fatal macrovascular complications. Exploring the intrinsic relationship between microvascular and macrovascular complications and the hub of pathogenesis is of vital importance for prolonging the life span of patients with diabetes and improving the quality of life. Materials and methods: The expression profiles of GSE28829, GSE30529, GSE146615 and GSE134998 were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database, which contained 29 atherosclerotic plaque samples, including 16 AS samples and 13 normal controls; 22 renal glomeruli and tubules samples from diabetes nephropathy including 12 DN samples and 10 normal controls; 73 lymphoblastoid cell line samples, including 52 DR samples and 21 normal controls. The microarray datasets were consolidated and DEGs were acquired and further analyzed by bioinformatics techniques including GSEA analysis, GO-KEGG functional clustering by R (version 4.0.5), PPI analysis by Cytoscape (version 3.8.2) and String database, miRNA analysis by Diana database, and hub genes analysis by Metascape database. The drug sensitivity of characteristic DEGs was analyzed. Result: A total of 3709, 4185 and 8086 DEGs were recognized in AS, DN, DR, respectively, with 1820, 1666, 888 upregulated and 1889, 2519, 7198 downregulated. GO and KEGG pathway analyses of DEGs and GSEA analysis of common differential genes demonstrated that these significant sites focused primarily on inflammation-oxidative stress and immune regulation pathways. PPI networks show the connection and regulation on top-250 significant sites of AS, DN, DR. MiRNA analysis explored the non-coding RNA upstream regulation network and significant pathway in AS, DN, DR. The joint analysis of multiple diseases shows the common influenced pathways of AS, DN, DR and explored the interaction between top-1000 DEGs at the same time. Conclusion: In the microvascular and macrovascular complications of diabetes, immune-mediated inflammatory response, chronic inflammation caused by endothelial cell activation and oxidative stress are the three links linking atherosclerosis, diabetes retinopathy and diabetes nephropathy together. Our study has clarified the intrinsic relationship and common tissue damage mechanism of microcirculation and circulatory system complications in diabetes, and explored the mechanism center of these two vascular complications. It has far-reaching clinical and social value for reducing the incidence of fatal events and early controlling the progress of disabling and fatal circulatory complications in diabetes.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the daily diet and living habits of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) patients, and to explore the influencing factors of HT.Methods:The patients admitted to the Thyroid Surgery Clinic of Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Harbin Medical University from March to December 2021 were selected as the investigation subjects and were divided into observation group (106 patients with HT) and control group (63 healthy people). Questionnaire was used to collect the information of daily diet and living habits of the two groups, and physical examination was used to collect the information of height and weight. The levels of serum thyroid function indicators thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free triiodothyronine (FT 3) and free thyroxin (FT 4) were tested by automatic chemiluminescence immunoassay, and the comparison and analysis were conducted between the two groups. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of HT. Results:The results of univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in sex ratio and serum TSH levels between the two groups ( P < 0.05); the proportion of people in observation group who slept for less than 6 hours per day, frequently looked at their mobile phones, ate fried food ≥1 time per week, and ate meat ≥1 kg per week was higher than that in control group; however, the proportion of people in observation group who drank tea ≥1 time per week, smoked ≥1 time per week, had a salty daily taste, ate nuts ≥1 time per week, and ate vegetables ≥1 kg per week was lower than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P < 0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that female, slept duration < 6 hours/day, weekly meat consumption ≥1 kg, and elevated serum TSH levels were risk factors for the onset of HT [odds ratios ( OR) = 3.37, 4.11, 2.48, 1.14, and 95% confidence intervals ( CI): 1.08 - 10.55, 1.46 - 11.59, 1.00 - 6.51, 1.00 - 1.30]; eating ≥1 kg of vegetables per week was a protective factor for the onset of HT ( OR = 0.36, 95% CI: 0.17 - 0.79). Conclusion:Female, poor diet and lifestyle habits are risk factors for the onset of HT.

RESUMO

The FRUITFULL (FUL) gene belongs to the AP1/ FUL subfamily of the plant MADS-box family and has functions in regulating flowering time, floral meristem differentiation and fruit development. PfFUL gene sequence was derived from the perilla transcriptome data, and the basic physicochemical properties of PfFUL were analyzed by bioinformatics methods. Evolutionary relationships of PfFUL with other species of FUL were analyzed by phylogenetic tree. Plant expression vector 35S::PfFUL was constructed and used to transform wild type Col-0 and mutant ful-7 Arabidopsis to obtain overexpression 35S::PfFUL/ Col-0 and complemented mutation 35S::PfFUL / ful-7 plants respectively. Comparative phenotypic analysis was performed to preliminarily clarify the function of PfFUL gene in plant flowering and fruit development. The functions of the PfFUL gene during flowering and angular fruit development of the plants were initially clarified. The CDS of PfFUL gene is 738 bp and encodes 245 amino acids. Phylogenetic tree showed that the perilla PfFUL was closely related to Solanum lycopersicum, Salvia splendens and Salvia hispanica, but far related to Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana tabacum and Vitis vinifera. Compared to Col-0 and ful-7, the transgenic plants showed early flowering (P0. 05), and the amount of wrinkled seed was significantly reduced (P<0. 01). In addition, phenotypic observations revealed that the transgenic plants also exhibited increased internode length and narrowed and curled cauline leaves. In conclusion, this study confirmed that the PfFUL gene regulates early flowering and fruit development in plants and participates in nutritional growth.

RESUMO

ω-3-Fatty acid desaturase 8 (FAD8), as a dehydrogenase enzyme, plays a key role in the transformation of saturated fatty acids into unsaturated fatty acids, which is helpful to enhance the freezing tolerance of plants. However, it remains unclear whether the expression level of FAD8 in Perilla frutescens is regulated by low temperature. Based on transcriptome data, the FAD8 gene was cloned, characterized and then successfully expressed in tobacco Nicotiana tabacum. The gene was designated as PfFAD8 and has a full-length coding sequence of 1 317 bp coding for 438 amino acids with a predicted molecular weight of 50 kD and a theoretical isoelectric point of 9. 13. Our research indicated that the expression of PfFAD8 in Perilla frutescens was increased under the freezing stress. To further confirm this result, a 35S::PfFAD8 vector were constructed and transformed into N. tabacum by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation. Transgenic tobacco leaves that over-expressed the PfFAD8 gene exhibited significantly higher unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) such as linoleic (C18:2) and palmitic acid (C16:0) content and advanced freezing tolerance. Moreover, PfFAD8 overexpression in transgenic tobacco leaves increases malondialdehyde (MDA) and proline (PRO) content, and enhances defense enzymes activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) to some extent under the cold condition, which might prevent the decline of UFA. Taken together, PfFAD8 overexpression in Perilla frutescens might be involved in the desaturation process of lipids leading to increased membrane stability and/ or induction of other genes related to freezing tolerance by octadecanoid pathway or lipid peroxidation products. Thus, PfFAD8 overexpression could be useful in the production of freeze-tolerant varieties of N. tabacum.

RESUMO

Chinese medicine (CM) is an important resource for human life understanding and discovery of drugs. However, due to the unclear pharmacological mechanism caused by unclear target, research and international promotion of many active components have made little progress in the past decades of years. CM is mainly composed of multi-ingredients with multi-targets. The identification of targets of multiple active components and the weight analysis of multiple targets in a specific pathological environment, that is, the determination of the most important target is the main obstacle to the mechanism clarification and thus hinders its internationalization. In this review, the main approach to target identification and network pharmacology were summarized. And BIBm (Bayesian inference modeling), a powerful method for drug target identification and key pathway determination was introduced. We aim to provide a new scientific basis and ideas for the development and international promotion of new drugs based on CM.

RESUMO

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) has been confirmed to be closely associated with breast cancer (BC). However, the shared mechanisms between these diseases remain unclear. By comparing different datasets, we identified shared differentially expressed (DE) RNAs in T2DM and BC, including 427 mRNAs and 6 miRNAs from the GEO(Gene Expression Omnibus) database. We used databases to predict interactions to construct two critical networks. The transcription factor (TF)-miRNA‒mRNA network contained 236 TFs, while the RNA binding protein (RBP)-pseudogene-mRNA network showed that the pseudogene S-phase kinase associated protein 1 pseudogene 1 (SKP1P1) might play a key role in regulating gene expression. The shared mRNAs between T2DM and BC were enriched in cytochrome (CYP) pathways, and further analysis of CPEB1 and COLEC12 expression in cell lines, single cells and other cancers showed that they were strongly correlated with the survival and prognosis of patients with BC. This result suggested that patients with T2DM presenting the downregulation of CPEB1 and COLEC12 might have a higher risk of developing BC. Overall, our work revealed that high expression of CYPs in patients with T2DM might be a susceptibility factor for BC and identified novel gene candidates and immune features that are promising targets for immunotherapy in patients with BC.

RESUMO

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is an aggressive form of brain tumours that remains incurable despite recent advances in clinical treatments. Previous studies have focused on sub-categorizing patient samples based on clustering various transcriptomic data. While functional genomics data are rapidly accumulating, there exist opportunities to leverage these data to decipher glioma-associated biomarkers. We sought to implement a systematic approach to integrating data from high throughput CRISPR-Cas9 screening studies with machine learning algorithms to infer a glioma functional network. We demonstrated the network significantly enriched various biological pathways and may play roles in glioma tumorigenesis. From densely connected glioma functional modules, we further predicted 12 potential Wnt/ß-catenin signalling pathway targeted genes, including AARSD1, HOXB5, ITGA6, LRRC71, MED19, MED24, METTL11B, SMARCB1, SMARCE1, TAF6L, TENT5A and ZNF281. Cox regression modelling with these targets was significantly associated with glioma overall survival prognosis. Additionally, TRIB2 was identified as a glioma neoplastic cell marker in single-cell RNA-seq of GBM samples. This work establishes novel strategies for constructing functional networks to identify glioma biomarkers for the development of diagnosis and treatment in clinical practice.

RESUMO

Objective:To explore the influencing factors of all-cause death in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and renal insufficiency(RI), and establish a clinical prediction tool. Methods:Collected 727 patients who were hospitalized in Beijing Anzhen Hospital from January 1st 2014 to April 31th 2019, and diagnosed as AMI with RI. Recorded the patients' baseline characteristics, past medical history, current complications, laboratory and auxiliary examination results, treatment methods (included target vessel reconstruction methods, medications, etc.), and follow-up patients for all-cause deaths. Firstly, multivariate Cox regression analysis was used to construct the model in the training set(485 cases). Secondly, the receiver operating characteristic curve ( ROC), calibration curve and clinical decision curve analysis (DCA) were drawn in the validation set(242 cases) to further verify the effect of the prediction model. Finally, a nomogram was developed based on the verified risk factors. Results:Multivariate Cox regression analysis found that there were nine predictors for the prognosis of all-cause death in patients with AMI & RI, the dangerous factors included women, comorbidities, high direct bilirubin, cardiogenic shock, respiratory failure, co-infection and hemofiltration; the protective factors included PCI and taking aspirin. Model evaluation results showed that the AUC of the validation set was 0.82; the calibration line was close to the ideal calibration line, and the slope≈1, the intercept≈0, and the fitting effect was good. Clinical decision-making when the all-cause mortality rate was 35%, the net benefit of active intervention patients based on the Cox model was 38%. A visual nomogram model was developed based on the prognostic risk factors that have been evaluated and predicted to be good. Conclusion:Women, with a history of comorbidities, direct high bilirubin, combined with cardiogenic shock, combined with respiratory failure, combined infection, hemofiltration, PCI and taking aspirin, these nine factors will affect all causes of AMI & RI. For the probability of death, the model developed in this research has high accuracy.

RESUMO

Copy number variation (CNV) is a common type of structural variation in the human genome. Accurate detection of CNVs from tumor genomes can provide crucial information for the study of tumor genesis and cancer precision diagnosis. However, the contamination of normal genomes in tumor genomes and the crude profiles of the read depth make such a task difficult. In this paper, we propose an alternative approach, called CIRCNV, for the detection of CNVs from sequencing data. CIRCNV is an extension of our previously developed method CNV-LOF, which uses local outlier factors to predict CNVs. Comparatively, CIRCNV can be performed on individual tumor samples and has the following two new features: (1) it transfers the read depth profile from a line shape to a circular shape via a polar coordinate transformation, in order to improve the efficiency of the read depth (RD) profile for the detection of CNVs; and (2) it performs a second round of CNV declaration based on the truth circular RD profile, which is recovered by estimating tumor purity. We test and validate the performance of CIRCNV based on simulation and real sequencing data and perform comparisons with several peer methods. The results demonstrate that CIRCNV can obtain superior performance in terms of sensitivity and precision. We expect that our proposed method will be a supplement to existing methods and become a routine tool in the field of variation analysis of tumor genomes.

RESUMO

Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are the abundant forms of genetic variations, which are closely associated with serious genetic and inherited diseases, even cancers. Here, a novel SNP detection assay has been developed for single-nucleotide discrimination by nanopore sensing platform with DNA probed Au nanoparticles as transport carriers. The SNP of p53 gene mutation in gastric cancer has been successfully detected in the femtomolar concentration by nanopore sensing. The robust biosensing strategy offers a way for solid nanopore sensors integrated with varied nanoparticles to achieve single-nucleotide distinction with high sensitivity and spatial resolution, which promises tremendous potential applications of nanopore sensing for early diagnosis and disease prevention in the near future.

RESUMO

Somatic mutations are a large category of genetic variations, which play an essential role in tumorigenesis. Detection of somatic single nucleotide variants (SNVs) could facilitate downstream analysis of tumorigenesis. Many computational methods have been developed to detect SNVs, but most require normal matched samples to differentiate somatic SNVs from the normal state, which can be difficult to obtain. Therefore, developing new approaches for detecting somatic SNVs without matched samples are crucial. In this work, we detected somatic mutations from individual tumor samples based on a novel machine learning approach, svmSomatic, using next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. In addition, as somatic SNV detection can be impacted by multiple mutations, with germline mutations and co-occurrence of copy number variations (CNVs) common in organisms, we used the novel approach to distinguish somatic and germline mutations based on the NGS data from individual tumor samples. In summary, svmSomatic: (1) considers the influence of CNV co-occurrence in detecting somatic mutations; and (2) trains a support vector machine algorithm to distinguish between somatic and germline mutations, without requiring normal matched samples. We further tested and compared svmSomatic with other common methods. Results showed that svmSomatic performance, as measured by F1-score, was significantly better than that of others using both simulation and real NGS data.

RESUMO

Objective:To explore the key gens of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC-PBMC) and potentially effective Chinese herbs based on bioinformatics, and to verify the clinical efficacy of these Chinese herbs via a systematic review. Method:The chips GSE58208 and GSE36076 of HCC-PBMC were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), followed by the identification of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) using RStudio. After protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis by STRING, the DAVID was employed for gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis. The DEGs of HCC-PBMC were visualized by Cytoscape. The key genes of HCC-PBMC were calculated by CytoHubba plug-in and mapped with those in Coremine Medical for screening out the potential Chinese herbs for the treatment of HCC, which were then included for subsequent systematic review. Result:A total of 203 DEGs were obtained (194 up-regulated and nine down-regulated). As revealed by DAVID analysis, the DEGs were mainly enriched in such biological processes and signaling pathways as transcriptional regulation of DNA template, hydrolysis of ribonucleic acid phosphodiester bond, positive regulation of intranuclear mitosis and division, skeletal muscle fiber development, activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)activity, Fanconi anemia pathway, and metabolic pathway. The key genes of HCC-PBMC were calculated by Cytoscape to be GTPase IMAP family member 1 (GIMAP1), GTPase IMAP family member 4 (GIMAP4), GTPase IMAP family member 6 (GIMAP6), GTPase IMAP family member 7 (GIMAP7), GTPase IMAP family member 8 (GIMAP8), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), CX3C chemokine receptor 1 (CX3CR1), C-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CCR2), Toll-like receptor 7(TLR7), and epidermal growth factor(EGF). Through Coremine Medical analysis, it was concluded that Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Curcumae Longae Rhizoma, Centellae Herba, and Hedyotidis Herba were closely related to the key genes. Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma has the effects of tonifying and benefiting lung and spleen and enhancing strength, suitable for the liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome or Qi-Yin deficiency syndrome of HCC. Hence, Si Junzitang with Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma as the sovereign medicinal was included for systematic review. It has been confirmed that Ginseng Radix Et Rhizoma was superior to western medicine alone in improving the overall clinical efficacy, alleviating TCM syndrome, elevating serum CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ levels, and reducing the serum CD8+ and TBIL levels (P<0.01), with high safety. Conclusion:This study conducted at the gene level has provided new ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment of HCC. The systematic review of Ginseng Radix Et Rhizoma against HCC provides a basis for the clinical prevention and treatment of HCC with TCM.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the predicting effect of the disrupted functional connectivity of the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) on the efficacy of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients with migraineurs without aura (MwoA).Methods:From January 2019 to January 2021, seventy patients with migraine and thirty-three healthy people in the same period were selected. The functional connectivity analysis based on the ACC was used in MwoA patients with NSAIDS-effective ( n=35), MwoA patients with NSAIDS-ineffective ( n=35), and healthy controls (HCs) ( n=33). The abnormal resting-state functional connectivity patterns among the three groups were analyzed to reveal potential correlations with clinical characteristics in migraine. Then the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the predictive ability of the abnormal ACC functional connectivity on the efficacy of NSAIDs in patients with MwoA. Results:(1)Compared with the MwoA patients with NSAIDs-ineffective, the MwoA patients with NSAIDs-effective showed higher functional connectivity between bilateral ACC and left middle cingulate cortex (MCC) (MNI: x, y, z=0, -24, 48, cluster=14, t=3.380) and postcentral gyrus (PoCG)( MNI: x, y, z=-21, -45, 69, cluster=12, t=3.016) (all P<0.005, Bonferroni correction). Compared with the HCs, patients with MwoA showed increased functional connectivity between left ACC and ipsilateral inferior parietal lobule, middle frontal gyrus (MFG) and angular gyrus (AG), and between right ACC and right precuneus, bilateral MFG and left AG (all P<0.005, Bonferroni correction). (2)There was a positive correlation between the functional connectivity of right ACC to right precuneus and MIDAS scores ( r=0.375, P=0.035) in MwoA patients with NSAIDs-effective. In MwoA patients with NSAIDs-ineffective, there were also significant correlations between the functional connectivity of left ACC to ipsilateral AG and MFG and headache onset duration ( r=0.357, P=0.045) and disease duration ( r=-0.367, P=0.039). (3)ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for the functional connectivity between the right ACC and left MCC and between the left ACC and left PoCG to predict the efficacy of NSAIDs were 0.728 and 0.736, respectively. Conclusions:Resting-state functional connectivity of the ACC is involved in the evaluation and prediction for analgesic efficacy of NSAIDs in migraine patients, which provides neuroimaging evidence for further investigations on the neurophysiological mechanism of migraine and assistance in clinical individualized precise treatment.

RESUMO

To establish the HPLC-ELSD specific chromatogram analysis method of Rehmanniae Radix and Rehmanniae Radix Prae-parata, and analyze and compare their chemical compositions, so as to reveal the change regularity of compositions during the proces-sing. By HPLC-ELSD method, the chromatographic column for Prevail Carbohydrate ES(4.6 mm ×250 mm, 5 μm) was adopted, with acetonitrile(A)-water(B) as mobile phase for gradient elution, and the evaporative light-scattering detector was used. A total of 23 batches of Rehmannia Radix samples, and 25 batches of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata samples and processing dynamic samples were compared. The established method had a great repeatability, precision and stability. Eight common chromatographic peaks were extracted from 23 batches of Rehmanniae Radix samples, 8 common peaks were extracted from 25 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, and 7 chromatographic peaks were identified. The composition ratio of Rehmannia Radix was changed greatly during the processing. When the simila-rity≥0.95 and the fructose peak area was more than 2 times of stachyose tetrahydrate or more than 20 times of raffinose, the processing degree conformed to the requirements of empirical identification. The three main oligosaccharides of Rehmanniae Radix were sucrose that was heated to generate fructose and glucose, stachyose tetrahydrate that was heated to generate melibiose, sucrose and fructose, and stachyose tetrahydrate that was heated to generate manninotriose. The change in the index of proportion between monosaccharides and oligosaccharides can be used as the quantitative criterion for the processing quality of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To compare the clinical effect of acupuncture at "three points of iliolumbar" combined with celecoxib and celecoxib alone in the treatment of iliopsoas muscle strain. METHODS: A total of 60 patients with iliopsoas muscle strain were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 30 patients in each group. Celecoxib was given orally to both groups, 200 mg once a day for 3 days. On the basis of the above drugs, acupuncture was applied at Yaoda (Extra), Wushu (GB 27), Qiayao (Extra) in the observation group, once a day for 3 days. The Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score and visual analogue scale (VAS) score were observed and compared before and after treatment, and the content of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) in serum was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) before and after treatment in the two groups. RESULTS: After treatment, the JOA scores in the two groups were increased (both P<0.05), and the VAS scores and 5-HT contents were decreased (all P<0.05). The increase of JOA score in the observation group was greater than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the decrease of VAS score and 5-HT content in the observation group was greater than that in the control group (both P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Acupuncture at "three points of ilioumbar" combined with celecoxib in the treatment of iliopsoas muscle strain can improve lumbar function, relieve pain and reduce 5-HT content in serum, which is better than celecoxib alone.

RESUMO

With the increasing global electromagnetic pollution, it is more and more important to develop lightweight, flexible, and high electromagnetic shielding materials. Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal material MXenes have good conductivity and excellent electromagnetic shielding performance. Herein, a facile and effective method is reported to synthesize lightweight and flexible MXene/CNF/silver (MCS) composite membranes with a brick-like structure and high-performance electromagnetic interference shielding. MCS composite membranes have an electromagnetic shielding performance of ≈50.7 dB due to MXene self-reduction of silver nanoparticles and the brick-like structure, compared with that of MXene/CNF (MC) membranes (≈14.98 dB). In addition, the MCS composite membranes exhibit super-thin thickness (46 µm) and good tensile strength (up to 32.1 MPa), and their good mechanical properties are attributed to the addition of CNFs. Moreover, the MCS composite membranes show good electrical conductivity (588.2 S m-1). Therefore, MCS composite membranes that are lightweight and flexible and have high electromagnetic shielding performance can replace other electromagnetic shielding materials and be used in aerospace, weapon equipment, and wearable smart materials.
