RESUMO

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the value of preoperative indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography combined with ultrasonography for low-pressure vein localization in secondary lymphedema surgery for breast cancer. METHODS: A total of 29 patients who were admitted to the breast surgery department of our hospital from July 2019 to May 2021 were included in this study. All patients received preoperative reverse lymphography and ultrasonography for low-pressure vein in lymphedema surgery. Three arm circumferences were measured before surgery, 6 months after surgery, and 12 months after surgery for comparison with the healthy limb at the same time. RESULTS: Arm circumference at 12 months after surgery was significantly different from those at the preoperative period and 6 months after surgery (P < 0.05). However, this parameter after surgery was still significantly higher than that of the healthy limb (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The application of preoperative ICG lymphography combined with ultrasonography for low-pressure vein localization before surgery can greatly shorten operation duration by reducing the number of ineffective incisions and improving the probability of vein-lymphatic vessel matching, while ensuring the postoperative efficacy for patients.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate changes in serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)levels in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD).Methods Venous blood samples were collected from 40 AD patients,40 amnestic mild cognitive impairment(aMCI)patients and 40 normal controls.Serum BDNF levels were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The relationships of serum BDNF levels with age, gender, educational level,mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score and Beck depression scale-Ⅱ (BD Ⅰ-Ⅱ)score in AD patients were analyzed. Results Serum BDNF levels were lower in AD patients than in patients with aMCI and normal controls(4.6± 1.9 μg/L vs.9.3 ± 4.7 μg/L,10.2 ± 1.8 μg/L,F =71.083,P <0.05).There were 12 mild AD patients,18 moderate AD patients and 10 severe AD patients, and serum BDNF levels decreased with increased disease severity(5.5±5.4 μg/L,4.9±4.2 μg/L vs.3.8±3.0 μg/L,F=78.214,P<0.05).Serum BDNF levels decreased in 29 AD patients aged over 65 years compared with 11 AD patients aged 65 years and younger(3.6±2.2 μg/L vs.4.64±1.06 μg/L,P<0.05).Serum BDNF levels had no correlation with gender, educational level or BD Ⅰ-Ⅱ score(P>0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum BDNF levels had a positive correlation with MMSE score(r =0.428,P<0.05).Conclusions Advanced age is associated with decreased serum levels of BDNF in AD patients.Decreased serum levels of BDNF in AD patients are related to the severity of cognitive impairment. There is no correlation between serum BDNF levels and depressive symptoms in AD patients.

RESUMO

Objective To observe the clinical application of combined detection of troponin T(cTnT),myoglobin(Myo) and NT-ProBNP in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction(MI).Methods A total of 913 cases of acute chest pain complaints to our hospital for examination and treatment from January 2012 to December 2015 were selected and divided into the acute MI group and non-acute MI group according to the final diagnostic results. The cTnT,Myo and NT proBNP levels were detected in all subjects. The differences of cTnT,Myo and NT-proBNP levels were observed in the two groups. The sensitivity and specificity of single indicator detection,2-indicator combined detection and 3-indicator combined detection for diagnosing MI were observed. Results The levels of cTnT,Myo and NT-proBNP in the acute MI group were significantly higher than those in the non-acute MI group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of the two-indicator combined detection were higher than those of cTnT,Myo and NT-proBNP single detection, the sensitivity and specificity of the 3-indicator combined detection were 95.18% and 89.86% respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the single indicator test and the two-indicator combined detection. Conclusion The combined examination of cTnT,Myo and NT-proBNP has important significance in the diagnosis of MI,can improve the specificity and sensitivity of MI diagnosis and provides a reliable basis for clinical treatment.

RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the effect of bioabsorbable membrane in prevention of Frey syndrome after parotidectomy. Methods 105 patients who suffering from benign tumor of parotid gland were divided into experimental group and control group randomly.53 cases in experimental group underwent insertion of bioabsorbable membrane after parotidectomy, while 52 cases in control group underwent parotidectomy without bioabsorbable membrane. After operation 6 to12 months, all 105 patients were evaluated for gustatory sweating by both questionnaire and minor starchiodine test. Results Subjective evaluation of Frey syndrome revealed that the incidence rate of experimental group and control group were 3.8%(2/53),28.9%(15/52)respectively(P < 0.05).Objective evaluation of Frey syndrome revealed that the incidence rate of experimental group and control group were 9.4%(5/53),55.8%(29/52)(13/21)respectively(P <0.05).Conclusion Insertion of bioabsorbable membrane is an effective method for prevention of Frey's syndrome after parotidectomy.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo study the expression of special AT-rich sequence binding protein 1 (SATB1) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines with different invasive capacities.

METHODSSATB1 expression was detected using real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, RT-PCR, Western blotting and immunofluorescence in immortalized liver cell line HL-7702, noninvasive HCC cell lines HepG2 and SMMC-7721, MHCC97L cells with low invasiveness, and highly invasive cell lines MHCC97H and HCCLM3.

RESULTSIn comparison with HL-7702 cells, all the 5 HCC cell lines showed overexpression of SATB1 mRNA, which was the highest in the highly invasive HCCLM3 and MHCC97H cells, followed by MHCC97L cell line, and then by SMMC-7721 and HepG2 cell lines (P<0.001). The relative expression quantity of SATB1 protein in HepG2, SMMC-7721, MHCC97L, MHCC97H, and HCCLM3 cell lines was 0.271±0.002, 0.351±0.023, 0.621±0.026, 0.878±0.026, and 1.236±0.006, respectively. SATB1 expression level in HCCLM3 cell line was 4.6-fold higher than that in HepG2 cell line (P<0.001). SATB1 was found to localize in the cytoplasm and cell nuclei of the 5 HCC cell lines, and the highly invasive HCCLM3 and MHCC97H cell lines showed a strong positive staining for SATB1 in immunofluorescence assay.

CONCLUSIONSATB1 expression levels differ distinctly between the HCC cell lines with different invasive capacities and are possibly associated with the metastatic potentials of the cells.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo study the expression of cellular inhibitor of apoptosis protein-2 (C-IAP2) mRNA and protein in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its relationship with the clinical outcomes.

METHODSQuantitative PCR and immunohistochemical staining were used to detect the expression of C-IAP2 mRNA and protein in the tumor tissues and corresponding adjacent non-cancerous tissues from HCC patients.

RESULTSThe expression of C-IAP2 mRNA in HCC tissues was 2.70 folds higher than that in the non-cancerous tissues (P<0.001). The expression rate of C-IAP2 protein in HCC tissues was 70.8%, significantly higher than that in the non-cancerous tissues (27.8%, P=0.001). The expression of C-IAP2 mRNA and protein was associated with the tumor emboli, lymph node metastasis, AFP level, histological differentiation, TNM stage, postoperative recurrence and metastasis (P<0.05), but not with the patients' gender, age, HbsAg positivity, number of tumors, cirrhosis or the presence of tumor encapsulation (P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe expression of C-IAP2 in HCC is associated with tumor recurrence and metastasis, and can be a biological marker for prognostic evaluation of HCC.
