RESUMO

Objective: To study the clinical efficacy of Sini-Moxibustion in the treatment of cancer-induced fatigue in patients with yang- deficiency gastrointestinal cancer. Methods: A total of 120 patients with gastrointestinal cancer treated in our department from January 2017 to January 2018 were randomly divided into 2 groups: the fire moxibustion group and the conventional group. The conventional group and the fire therapy group were treated with basic treatments such as anti-cancer and nutritional support. The conventional group added Sini-Moxibustion to the basic treatment, and the fire therapy group added"Sini-Moxibustion"therapy for a period of 1 month. Tthe indicators of the 2 groups of patients with Piper fatigue scale and grade, quality of life, symptoms of yang deficiency symptoms, clinical efficacy and blood tests of patients with chemotherapy were evaluated. Results: After the treatment, the degrees of fatigue in the fire moxibustion group was lower than that in the conventional group with statistically significant difference ( χ2 =4.24, P =0.037 < 0.05). The scores of improvement in the quality of life scale and five subscales in the fire moxibustion were higher than those in the conventional group with statistically significant difference (P < 0.01), and the improvement score of the body yang deficiency in the fire moxibustion group was greater than that of the conventional group (P < 0.01). The scores of fatigue, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, anorexia, and diarrhea in the fire moxibustion group were higher than those in the conventional group with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). After treatment, the total effective rate was 76.67% in the fire moxibustion treatment group, which was higher than the conventional group 91.53% with statistically significant difference ( χ2 =5.64, P =0.012 < 0.01). Hemoglobin improvement value of 3.92 ± 1.18 in the fire moxibustion group was higher than that of the conventional group 1.02 ± 0.52 with statistically significant difference (t =7.212, P =0.003 < 0.01). Conclusion: Sini-moxibustion can improve the CRF of patients with yangdeficiency gastrointestinal cancer, reduce the symptoms of yang deficiency, improve the quality of life, and increase the hemoglobin content in patients with chemotherapy.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the relationship between Creactive protein(CRP)/albumin ratio (CAR) and lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer. Methods:A total of 96 cases of gastric cancer were included in the study. The clinical pathological stage and lymph node detection in patients with gastric cancer were analyzed, with the preoperative CAR as the dependent variable. Results:1) The pa-tients with preoperative CAR>0.04 has higher transfer rate and metastasis than the patients with preoperative CAR≤0.04, and the dif-ference was significant (P0.04 was significantly higher than that of the patients with preoperative CAR≤0.04, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). 2) The mean CAR of patients with Borrmann typesⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ, andⅣgradually increased;with the progression of the pathological stage of gastric cancer, the mean value of CAR in-creased. 3) During the operation, the total number of lymph node dissections was high and the mean value of CAR before the opera-tion was high. Conclusion:The correlation between preoperative CAR and lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer may reflect the degree of lymph node metastasis to a certain extent.

RESUMO

Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP), a bombesin-like peptide, is an autocrine growth factor that can stimulate the growth of various cancer cells. We developed a novel protein vaccine HSP65-(GRP-10)(6) (HG6) that consists of six copies of a 10-amino acid residue epitope of GRP C-terminal fragment carried by mycobacterial 65 kDa HSP65 and then immunized mice via subcutaneous injection. Strong humoral and cell-mediated immune responses were induced. High titer of anti-GRP antibodies was detected in immunized mice sera by ELISA and verified by Western blot analysis. Activity of CD4+T lymphocytes, especially high levels of interferon (INF)-gamma, were developed in mice immunized with HG6 when compared with HSP65 or PBS. We found that immunogene tumor therapy with a vaccine based on GRP was effective at both protective and therapeutic antitumor immunity in breast tumor models in mice. The purified GRP monoclonal antibody (McAb) was proved to be potential in inhibiting EMT-6 tumor cell proliferation in vitro. The attenuation induced by active immune responses on tumor-induced angiogenesis was observed with an intradermal tumor model in mice. Taken together, we demonstrate for the first time that immune responses that are elicited by a novel chimeric protein vaccine targeting GRP can suppress the proliferation of breast tumor cell EMT-6 in mice, and it may be of importance in the further exploration of the applications of other autocrine growth factor identified in human and other animal in cancer therapy.
