[Evaluation of results in Class II, division 1 malocclusions treated by bionator]. / Sinif II, bölüm 1 ortodontik düzensizliklerin bionator ile tedavilerinden elde edilen sonuçlarin degerlendirilmesi.

In this study was proposed to evaluate treatment results of the Class II, Division 1 cases whom were treated with the Balters's Bionator. The investigation was performed on ten patients who have Class II, Division 1 malocclusion. On the other hand, another group consisting of ten individuals who have Class II, Division 1 malocclusion and who haven't been treated before, has been selected control group. Treatment groups before and after the treatment and the control group at the beginning and at the end of the two years period having been taken lateral cephalometric films, statistical evaluation of the data which consist of angular and dimensional measurements has been realised. According to investigation, the changes of mandible and maxilla on Bionator's treatment group were taken placed both the dentoalveolar and skeletal level.

[Evaluation of results in Class II: division 1 malocclusions by treated Frankel appliance]. / Sinif II, bölüm 1 ortodontik düzenszliklerin Frankel apareyi (FR-1b) ile tedavilerinden elde edilen sonuçlarin degerlendirilmesi.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the treatment results of Class II, Division 1 cases whom were treated by Frankel's function regulator (FR-1b). Ten orthodontic patients participated to this research Class II, Division 1 malocclusion was present on all of our patients. On the other hand another group consisting of ten individuals who have Class II, Division 1 malocclusion were chosen as control group. The lateral cephalometric radiographs were obtained at the treatment group before and after the treatment. For the control group same radiographs were obtained at the beginning and 2 years later. As a result we found out that the orthopedic effects of Frankel appliance is limited on both upper and lower jaw. Appliance basically affects the dento-alveolar structures.

[Comparing of the results obtained from distalization of the upper molar teeth by applying extraoral forces to permanent and removable appliances]. / Sabit ve müteharrik aygitlara agiz disi kuvvetler uygulayarak, üst alti yas disinin distalizasyonundan elde edilen sonuçlarin karsilastirilmasi.

The purpose of the present study is to compare the experimental and clinical results of permanent and removable appliances on headgears. 3 dimensional photoelastic models were used in the experimental work. On these models, forces applied to face bows which were attached to permanent and removable ancher units. After the experiment sagittal sections prepared and analyzed under polaroscope. The results of the 8 case with removable ancher units and 7 case with permanent ancher units were compared by cephalometric processes. As a result, there was no significant difference between permanent and removable headgears.
