RESUMO

Traffic cyclic loading is the key factor that leads to the deterioration of the long-term service behavior of subgrade. A series of cyclic triaxial tests was carried out by the large-scale dynamic and static triaxial apparatus (LSDSTA) to study the dynamic behaviors of coal gangue subgrade filler (CGSF) under multi-step cyclic loading using the morphological characteristics of hysteretic curves (MCHC). MCHC was quantitatively characterized by four parameters, i.e., the unclosed degree (εphl), inclination of long axis degree (khl), area (Shl) and fullness degree (αhl). With the increase of dynamic strain, εphl increases exponentially. khl of the coal gangue sample first decreases and then shows an increasing trend with the increasing dynamic strain. The values of Shl are close to each other, and the energy dissipation in the sample is small. However, with the increase of dynamic strain, the specimen failure degree is increased, Shl increases exponentially, and the damping ratio increases. With the increase of dynamic strain, αhl increases approximately linearly. Confining pressure has a certain effect on the four parameters. There parameters can be recommended and used for quantitative analysis the dynamic behaviors of subgrade filler under traffic cyclic loading.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common inflammatory skin disease with a chronic course and a high recurrence. OBJECTIVE: Based on the theory of "prevention and recovery after ulceration", the application value and significance of compound ginseng cicada decoction in the intervention of chronic disease management in patients with AD were retrospectively analyzed. METHODS: Through clinical retrospective observation, 60 patients with spleen deficiency and moisture type AD admitted to the outpatient clinic of our hospital after January 2019 were analyzed. After comprehensive treatment until the patient's Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) Scale score is lower than 2 points, the study group was divided into a research group and a control group, according to the actual clinical follow-up whether to take compound ginseng cicada soup. The control group carried out chronic disease management education, conventional emollient topical with no drug maintenance intervention, and the research group included clinical patients who were orally administered to compound ginseng cicada decoction for 1 month, observed for 3 months, and compared with the clinical recurrence (recurrence rate, time to first recurrence, severity at recurrence, degree of pruritus), and the quality of life. RESULTS: After 3 months, the relapse rate, recurrence severity, itching degree and quality of life impact scores of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and there were no obvious adverse events. CONCLUSION: The combined application of compound ginseng cicada decoction in the management of chronic diseases in patients with atopic dermatitis has the positive significance of reducing AD recurrence, alleviating the severity of recurrence, and effectively improving the life quality of patients. This method has high safety and is worthy of wide application.

RESUMO

Quorum sensing (QS) is a cell-to-cell communication mechanism mediated by small diffusible signaling molecules. Previous studies showed that RpfR controls Burkholderia cenocepacia virulence as a cis-2-dodecenoic acid (BDSF) QS signal receptor. Here, we report that the fatty acyl-CoA ligase DsfR (BCAM2136), which efficiently catalyzes in vitro synthesis of lauryl-CoA and oleoyl-CoA from lauric acid and oleic acid, respectively, acts as a global transcriptional regulator to control B. cenocepacia virulence by sensing BDSF. We show that BDSF binds to DsfR with high affinity and enhances the binding of DsfR to the promoter DNA regions of target genes. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the homolog of DsfR in B. lata, RS02960, binds to the target gene promoter, and perception of BDSF enhances the binding activity of RS02960. Together, these results provide insights into the evolved unusual functions of DsfR that control bacterial virulence as a response regulator of QS signal.

RESUMO

Background: Weaning patients from mechanical ventilation is a critical clinical challenge post cardiac surgery. The effective liberation of patients from the ventilator significantly improves their recovery and survival rates. This study aimed to develop and validate a clinical prediction model to evaluate the likelihood of successful extubation in post-cardiac surgery patients. Method: A predictive nomogram was constructed for extubation success in individual patients, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) and calibration curves were generated to assess its predictive capability. The superior performance of the model was confirmed using Delong's test in the ROC analysis. A decision curve analysis (DCA) was conducted to evaluate the clinical utility of the nomogram. Results: Among 270 adults included in our study, 107 (28.84%) experienced delayed extubation. A predictive nomogram system was derived based on five identified risk factors, including the proportion of male patients, EuroSCORE II, operation time, pump time, bleeding during operation, and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) level. Based on the predictive system, five independent predictors were used to construct a full nomogram. The area under the curve values of the nomogram were 0.880 and 0.753 for the training and validation cohorts, respectively. The DCA and clinical impact curves showed good clinical utility of this model. Conclusion: Delayed extubation and weaning failure, common and potentially hazardous complications following cardiac surgery, vary in timing based on factors such as sex, EuroSCORE II, pump duration, bleeding, and postoperative BNP reduction. The nomogram developed and validated in this study can accurately predict when extubation should occur in these patients. This tool is vital for assessing risks on an individual basis and making well-informed clinical decisions.

RESUMO

Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the presence of neurodegenerative lesions and cognitive impairment. In this study, a series of novel palmatine derivatives were designed and synthesized through the introduction of a heteroatom using carbodiimide-mediated condensation. The synthesized compounds were then screened for toxicity and potency, leading to the identification of compound 2q, which exhibited low toxicity and high potency. Our findings demonstrated that compound 2q displayed significant neuroprotective activity in vitro, emerging as a promising candidate for Alzheimer's disease treatment.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Patients with liver cancer complicated by portal hypertension present complex challenges in treatment. AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation in combination with sorafenib for improving liver function and its impact on the prognosis of patients with this condition. METHODS: Data from 100 patients with liver cancer complicated with portal hypertension from May 2014 to March 2019 were analyzed and divided into a study group (n = 50) and a control group (n = 50) according to the treatment regimen. The research group received radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in combination with sorafenib, and the control group only received RFA. The short-term efficacy of both the research and control groups was observed. Liver function and portal hypertension were compared before and after treatment. Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), glypican-3 (GPC-3), and AFP-L3 levels were compared between the two groups prior to and after treatment. The occurrence of adverse reactions in both groups was observed. The 3-year survival rate was compared between the two groups. Basic data were compared between the survival and non-surviving groups. To identify the independent risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with liver cancer complicated by portal hypertension, multivariate logistic regression analysis was employed. RESULTS: When comparing the two groups, the research group's total effective rate (82.00%) was significantly greater than that of the control group (56.00%; P < 0.05). Following treatment, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels increased, and portal vein pressure decreased in both groups. The degree of improvement for every index was substantially greater in the research group than in the control group (P < 0.05). Following treatment, the AFP, GPC-3, and AFP-L3 levels in both groups decreased, with the research group having significantly lower levels than the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of diarrhea, rash, nausea and vomiting, and fatigue in the research group was significantly greater than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The 1-, 2-, and 3-year survival rates of the research group (94.00%, 84.00%, and 72.00%, respectively) were significantly greater than those of the control group (80.00%, 64.00%, and 40.00%, respectively; P < 0.05). Significant differences were observed between the survival group and the non-surviving group in terms of Child-Pugh grade, history of hepatitis, number of tumors, tumor size, use of sorafenib, stage of liver cancer, histological differentiation, history of splenectomy and other basic data (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that high Child-Pugh grade, tumor size (6-10 cm), history of hepatitis, no use of sorafenib, liver cancer stage IIIC, and previous splenectomy were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with liver cancer complicated with portal hypertension (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Patients suffering from liver cancer complicated by portal hypertension benefit from the combination of RFA and sorafenib therapy because it effectively restores liver function and increases survival rates. The prognosis of patients suffering from liver cancer complicated by portal hypertension is strongly associated with factors such as high Child-Pugh grade, tumor size (6-10 cm), history of hepatitis, lack of sorafenib use, liver cancer at stage IIIC, and prior splenectomy.

RESUMO

Expression of the type III secretion system (T3SS) in Pseudomonas aeruginosa is exquisitely controlled by diverse environmental or host-related signals such as calcium (Ca2+), however, the signal transduction pathways remain largely elusive. In this study, we reported that FleR, the response regulator of the two-component system FleS/FleR, inhibits T3SS gene expression and virulence of P. aeruginosa uncoupled from its cognate histidine kinase FleS. Interestingly, FleR was found to repress T3SS gene expression under Ca2+-rich conditions independently of its DNA-binding domain. FleR activates the elevation of intracellular c-di-GMP contents and FleQ serves as the c-di-GMP effector to repress T3SS gene expression through the Gac/Rsm pathway. Remarkably, we found that AmrZ, a member of the FleR regulon, inhibits T3SS gene expression by directly targeting the promoter of exsCEBA in an expression level-dependent manner. This study revealed an intricate regulatory network that connects P. aeruginosa T3SS gene expression to the Ca2+ signal.

RESUMO

Background: The causal association between thyroid dysfunction (including hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism) and sepsis is controversial in previous studies. Therefore, we used Mendelian randomization (MR) to explore the causal association between hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism and the susceptibility to four distinct subtypes of sepsis (streptococcal sepsis, puerperal sepsis, asthma-associated pneumonia or sepsis, and other sepsis). Methods: In our research, we conducted two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses utilizing publicly available genome-wide association studies (GWAS) data from Sakaue et al. and the Finnish database to investigate the potential causal associations between hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and each of the four distinct subtypes of sepsis, in addition to reverse MR analyses of the positive results to examine the existence of reverse causality. Results: Genetic hypothyroidism was causally related to the development of asthma-associated pneumonia or sepsis (ORIVW: 1.097, 95% CI: 1.024 to 1.174, P = 0.008); hypothyroidism was significantly associated with the development of other sepsis (ORIVW: 1.070, 95% CI: 1.028 to 1.115, P < 0.001). In addition, sensitivity analysis substantiated the robustness of these two MR findings, with no evidence of horizontal pleiotropy observed (P > 0.05). MR Egger regression analysis demonstrated no heterogeneity between instrumental variables (IVs). Inverse MR results confirmed no reverse causality between hypothyroidism and asthma-associated pneumonia or sepsis, or between hypothyroidism and other sepsis. The findings of this study also unveiled that there is no evidence of a causal link between hypothyroidism and the development of streptococcal sepsis or puerperal sepsis. Additionally, the research provided evidence indicating the absence of a causal relationship between hyperthyroidism and streptococcal sepsis, puerperal sepsis, asthma-associated pneumonia or sepsis, and other sepsis. Conclusions: This study identified a causal link between hypothyroidism and the occurrence of asthma-associated pneumonia or sepsis, and other sepsis, but not with the development of streptococcal sepsis and puerperal sepsis. Moreover, our findings did not reveal any causal association between hyperthyroidism and streptococcal sepsis, puerperal sepsis, asthma-associated pneumonia or sepsis, and other sepsis.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare neuroendocrine tumor of the skin, which mainly occurs in the sun exposed sites of white patients over 65 years, with a higher recurrence and metastasis rate. Clinically, MCC overlapping Bowen's disease (BD) is a very rare subtype of MCC. Few cases in the literature have been described and the management is not well defined. We summarize and update the epidemiology, clinical and histopathological features, metastasis characteristics, local recurrence rate and management of it by presenting two cases of MCC overlapping BD and reviewing the literature over the last 11 years. DESIGN: We consulted databases from PubMed, ResearchGate and Google Scholar by MeSh "Merkel cell carcinoma" and "Bowen's disease", "Bowen disease" or "squamous cell carcinoma in situ", from January 2013 to December 2023 and reviewed the literatures. We reported two additional cases. RESULTS: Total 13 cases of MCC overlapping BD were retrospectively analyzed, in whom mainly in elderly women over 70 years, the skin lesions were primarily located on the faces, followed by the extremities and trunk. Most of them were asymptomatic, firm, dark red nodules arising on rapidly growing red or dark brown patches, or presenting as isolated nodules. Dermoscopy evaluation was rarely performed in the pre-operative diagnostic setting. All cases were confirmed by histopathology and immunohistochemistry. The most definitive treatment was extended local excision, but local recurrences were common. Of the 13 cases, 4 cases experienced local or distant metastasis. One suffered from an in-transit recurrence of MCC on the ipsilateral leg after local excision and lymph node dissection, whose metastasis completely subsided after avelumab treatment and without recurrence or metastasis during 6 months of follow-up. CONCLUSIONS: MCC overlapping BD is a very rare skin tumor mainly predisposed on the faces, with high misdiagnosis rate and recurrence rate. Advanced disease at diagnosis is a poor prognostic factor, suggesting that earlier detection may improve outcome. The acronym, AEIOUN, has been proposed to aid in clinical identification. Our reports and the literature review can provide a better awareness and management of it.

RESUMO

We investigate the role of the black-phosphorus-based n-p (BP-np) junction modulated by linearly polarized light (LPL) in governing the quantum transport behaviors. Following the analysis of the band structures, we find that the LPL can adjust the gap between the conduction and valence bands by reducing the impact of momentum mismatch caused by the band gap. In addition, LPL can also eliminate the angle dependence of transmission. This means that for BP with a fixed band gap, the transmission-forbidden region can be reduced and the transmission probability can be increased by applying LPL modulation of the band gap to achieve all-angle perfect transmission, i.e., super-Klein tunneling (SKT). Our investigation also found that the SKT is robust to different incident energies, resulting in a larger conductance platform. These findings could be useful for the development and application of optical-like electronic devices.

RESUMO

New strategic chromophores with updated fine-tuning of previously reported BLD1 and BLD3 chromophores were designed. BLD1 and BLD3 have silicon functional groups on the donor unit, and the bridge has a good chance of self-assembling, so in the present study we fine-tuned the isolating groups to the bulky cyclic alkene to improve their dipole moment and organic electro-optic (OEO) properties as well. To demonstrate the impact of cyclic alkenes on the electron-donating groups in sensible NLO chromophore designs, a thorough analysis and comparison of the chromophore synthesis, UV-Vis calculations, solvatochromic behavior of the chromophore, DFT quantum mechanical calculations, thermal stabilities, and much lower dipole moments was conducted.

RESUMO

Background: Sepsis is a life-threatening condition characterized by an aberrant host response to infection, resulting in multi-organ dysfunction. The application of currently available prognostic indicators for sepsis in primary hospitals is challenging. In this retrospective study, we established a novel index, the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (NLMR), based on routine blood examination upon admission, and assessed its prognostic value for early mortality risk in adult patients with septic shock. Methods: This study included clinical data from adult patients with septic shock who were admitted to the hospital between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2022. Training and validation sets were constructed, and patients were categorized into "survival" and "death" groups based on their survival status within the 28-day hospitalization period. Baseline data, including demographic characteristics and comorbidities, and laboratory results, such as complete blood count parameters, were collected for analysis. The Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) scores were documented. The NLMR was determined through the utilization of multivariate binary logistic regression analysis, leading to the development of a risk model aimed at predicting early mortality in adult patients suffering from septic shock. Results: Overall, 112 adult patients with septic shock were enrolled in this study, with 84 and 28 patients in the training and validation sets, respectively. Multivariate binary logistic analysis revealed that the neutrophil, lymphocyte, and monocyte counts independently contributed to the mortality risk (odds ratios = 1.22, 0.08, and 0.16, respectively). The NLMR demonstrated an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC-AUC) of 0.83 for internal validation in the training set and 0.97 for external validation in the validation set. Both overall model quality values were significantly high at 0.74 and 0.91, respectively (P < 0.05). NLMR exhibited a higher ROC-AUC value of 0.88 than quick SOFA (ROC-AUC = 0.71), SOFA (ROC-AUC = 0.83), and APACHE II (ROC-AUC = 0.78). Conclusion: NLMR may be a potential marker for predicting the risk of early death in adult patients with septic shock, warranting further exploration and verification.

RESUMO

Photo-induced degradation of dimethylmercury (DMHg) is considered to be an important source for the generation of methylmercury (MMHg). However, studies on DMHg photodegradation are scarce, and it is even debatable about whether DMHg can be degraded in natural waters. Herein, we found that both DMHg and MMHg could be photodegraded in three natural waters collected from the Yellow River Delta, while in pure water only DMHg photodegradation occurred under visible light irradiation. The effects of different environmental factors on DMHg photodegradation were investigated, and the underlying mechanisms were elucidated by density functional theory calculations and a series of control experiments. Our findings revealed that the DMHg degradation rate was higher in the tidal creek water compared to Yellow River, Yan Lake, and purified water. NO3-, NO2-, and DOM could promote the photodegradation with DOM and NO3- showing particularly strong positive effects. Different light sources were employed, and UV light was found to be more effective in DMHg photodegradation. Moreover, MMHg was detected during the photodegradation of DMHg, confirming that the photochemical demethylation of DMHg is a source of MMHg in sunlit water. This work may provide a novel mechanistic insight into the DMHg photodegradation in natural waters and enrich the study of the global biogeochemical cycle of Hg.

RESUMO

Dilated perivascular spaces (PVS) have emerged as a pathological hallmark in various neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease (PD). Levodopa-induced dyskinesia (LID), an intractable motor complication of PD, remains enigmatic regarding the distribution patterns of PVS. Our objective was to scrutinize the percent PVS (pPVS) changes within PD patients with LID (PD-LID). In total, 132 individuals were enrolled, including PD-LID (n = 42), PD patients without LID (PD-nLID, n = 45), and healthy controls (HCs, n = 45). Employing an automated approach for PVS quantification based on structural magnetic resonance imaging, we comprehensively evaluated total pPVS in subcortical white matter globally and regionally. A significant increase in global pPVS was observed in PD patients versus HCs, particularly evident in PD-LID relative to HCs. Within the PD-LID group, elevated pPVS was discerned in the right inferior frontal gyrus region (rIFG) (pars opercularis), contrasting with PD-nLID and HCs. Moreover, PD patients exhibited increased pPVS in bilateral superior temporal regions compared to HCs. Notably, pPVS in the rIFG positively correlated with dyskinetic symptoms and could well identify LID. Our findings unveiled PVS alternations in subcortical white matter in PD-LID at both global and regional levels, highlighting the increased pPVS in rIFG as a prospective imaging marker for LID.

RESUMO

Rice sheath blight (RSB), caused by Rhizoctonia solani, is a significant disease of rice. The negative effects of chemical fungicides have created an urgent need for low-toxicity botanical fungicides. Our previous research revealed that the ethanol crude extract of Moutan Cortex (MC) exhibited superior antifungal activity against R. solani at 1000 µg/mL, resulting in a 100 % inhibition rate. The antifungal properties were mainly found in the petroleum ether extract. However, the active ingredients of the extract are still unclear. In this study, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was utilised for the analysis of its chemical components. The mycelium growth rate method was utilized to detect the antifungal activity. The findings indicated that paeonol constituted the primary active component, with a content of more than 96 %. Meanwhile, paeonol was the most significant antifungal active ingredient, the antifungal activity of paeonol (EC50=44.83 µg/mL) was much higher than that of ß-sitosterol and ethyl propionate against R. solani. Observation under an optical microscope revealed that paeonol resulted in abnormal mycelial morphology. This study provided theoretical support for identifying monomer antifungal compounds and developing biological fungicides for R. solani.

RESUMO

Fast co-pyrolysis offers a sustainable solution for upcycling polymer waste, including scrap tyre and plastics. Previous studies primarily focused on slow heating rates, neglecting synergistic mechanisms and sulphur transformation in co-pyrolysis with tyre. This research explored fast co-pyrolysis of scrap tyre with polypropylene (PP), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and polystyrene (PS) to understand synergistic effects and sulphur transformation mechanisms. A pronounced synergy was observed between scrap tyre and plastics, with the nature of the synergy being plastic-type dependent. Remarkably, blending 75 wt% PS or LDPE with tyre effectively eliminated sulphur-bearing compounds in the liquid product. This reduction in sulphur content can substantially mitigate the release of hazardous materials into the environment, emphasizing the environmental significance of co-pyrolysis. The synergy between PP or LDPE and tyre amplified the production of lighter hydrocarbons, while PS's interaction led to the creation of monocyclic aromatics. These findings offer insights into the intricate chemistry of scrap tyre and plastic interactions and highlight the potential of co-pyrolysis in waste management. By converting potential pollutants into valuable products, this method can significantly reduce the release of hazardous materials into the environment.

RESUMO

Since limb bleeding has been well managed by extremity tourniquets, the management of exsanguinating torso hemorrhage (TH) has become a hot issue both in military and civilian medicine. Conventional hemostatic techniques are ineffective for managing traumatic bleeding of organs and vessels within the torso due to the anatomical features. The designation of noncompressible torso hemorrhage (NCTH) marks a significant step in investigating the injury mechanisms and developing effective methods for bleeding control. Special tourniquets such as abdominal aortic and junctional tourniquet and SAM junctional tourniquet designed for NCTH have been approved by FDA for clinical use. Combat ready clamp and junctional emergency treatment tool also exhibit potential for external NCTH control. In addition, resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) further provides an endovascular solution to alleviate the challenges of NCTH treatment. Notably, NCTH cognitive surveys have revealed that medical staff have deficiencies in understanding relevant concepts and treatment abilities. The stereotypical interpretation of NCTH naming, particularly the term noncompressible, is the root cause of this issue. This review discusses the dynamic relationship between TH and NCTH by tracing the development of external NCTH control techniques. The authors propose to further subdivide the existing NCTH into compressible torso hemorrhage and NCTH' (noncompressible but REBOA controllable) based on whether hemostasis is available via external compression. Finally, due to the irreplaceability of special tourniquets during the prehospital stage, the authors emphasize the importance of a package program to improve the efficacy and safety of external NCTH control. This program includes the promotion of tourniquet redesign and hemostatic strategies, personnel reeducation, and complications prevention.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Bacillus subtilis, a kind of probiotic with broad-spectrum antibacterial function, was commonly used in livestock and poultry production. Recent research suggested that Bacillus subtilis may have antioxidant properties and improve immune response. This study aimed to verify the probiotic function of Bacillus subtilis in the production of broiler chickens. METHODS: A total of 324 (1-day-old) Arbor Acres broilers were selected and randomly divided into three groups: basal diet group (Ctr Group), basal diet + antibiotic growth promoter group (Ctr + AGP) and basal diet + 0.5% Bacillus subtilis preparation group (Ctr + Bac). The experiment lasted for 42 days. Muscle, serum and liver samples were collected at 42 days for determination. RESULTS: The results showed that Bacillus subtilis could decrease malondialdehyde content in the serum and liver (p<0.05) and increase superoxide dismutase 1 mRNA expression (p<0.01) and total superoxide dismutase (p<0.05) in the liver. In addition, compared with AGP supplementation, Bacillus subtilis supplementation increased interleukin-10 (IL-10) and decreased tumor necrosis factor-α and IL-1ß level in the serum (p<0.05). At 45 minutes after slaughter Ctr + Bac presented a higher a* value of breast muscle than Ctr Group (p<0.05), while significant change in leg muscle was not identified. Moreover, there was no difference in weight, shear force, cooking loss and drip loss of breast and leg muscle between treatments. CONCLUSION: Our results demonstrate that Bacillus subtilis in diet can enhance antioxidant capacity and optimize immune response of broilers.

RESUMO

The behavior of copper (Cu) diffusion at different storage temperatures of heavily boron-doped silicon substrates is investigated. The surface Cu concentration of the substrate with quantitative Cu contamination exhibits an initial increase followed by a subsequent decrease upon storage at 25 °C and 85 °C. The surface Cu, originating from the out-diffusion, can be effectively removed through RCA cleaning. The polysilicon film, prepared by low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) on the back of the substrate, exhibits a pronounced inhibitory effect on the out-diffusion of Cu. This phenomenon can be attributed to the effective gettering of Cu by both grain boundaries and disordered grain structures within the polycrystalline silicon film. Additionally, the multilayered structure of the polysilicon film exhibits enhanced gettering capabilities. The enhanced gettering effectiveness achieved by the multilayer polysilicon film can be attributed to an increased number of interfaces between layers.
