RESUMO

α-Phase formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI3) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have garnered significant attention, owing to their remarkable efficiency. Methylammonium chloride (MACl), a common additive, is used to control the crystallization of FAPbI3, thereby facilitating the formation of the photoactive α-phase. However, MACl's high volatility raises concerns regarding its stability and potential impact on the stability of the device. In this study, we partially substituted MACl with n-propylammonium chloride (PACl), which has a long alkyl chain, to promote the oriented crystallization of FAPbI3, ultimately forming an δ-phase-free perovskite. The FAPbI3 film containing PACl demonstrates an enhanced photoluminescence intensity and lifetime. Additionally, PACl's presence at grain boundaries acts as a protective layer for the PSCs. Consequently, we achieved a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 22.4% and exceptional stability. It maintains over 95% of initial PCE for 100 days in an N2 glovebox, over 85% after 100 h of maximum power point tracking, and over 80% after 60 °C thermal aging.

BACKGROUND: The consistent definition of sarcopenic obesity (SO) is limited, its association with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) has not been clarified. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and agreement of SO using different definitions and the association between SO and MCI. METHODS: SO was diagnosed by the co-existence of sarcopenia defined by the Asia Working Group for Sarcopenia (AWGS) and obesity by body mass index (BMI), visceral fat area (VFA), waist circumference (WC), or body fat percentage (BF%). Cohen's kappa was used to assess the agreement between the different definitions. The association between SO and MCI was assessed using multivariable logistic regression. RESULTS: Among 2,451 participants, the prevalence of SO ranged from 1.7% to 8.0% under different definitions. SO defined by AWGS and BMI (AWGS+BMI) showed fair agreements with the other three criteria (κ ranged from 0.334 to 0.359). The other criteria showed good agreements with each other. The κ statistics were 0.882 for AWGS+VFA and AWGS+BF%, 0.852 for AWGS+VFA and AWGS+WC, and 0.804 for AWGS+BF% and AWGS+WC, respectively. When using different diagnoses of SO, compared with the health group, the adjusted ORs of MCI for SO were 1.96 (95% CI: 1.29-2.99, SO: AWGS+WC), 1.75 (95% CI: 1.14-2.68, SO: AWGS+VFA), 1.94 (95% CI: 1.29-2.93, SO: AWGS+BF%), and 1.45 (95% CI: 0.67-3.12, SO: AWGS+BMI), respectively. CONCLUSION: Using different obesity indicators combined with AWGS to diagnose SO, BMI had lower prevalence and agreement compared with other three indicators. SO was associated with MCI under different methods (WC, VFA, or BF%).

In order to cope with the global climate crisis, carbon capture, utilization, and storage are the key technologies to achieve carbon neutrality, and it is an elegant geological utilization method for the oil and gas industry to improve the recovery rate of crude oil by using CO2. However, in practical applications, the problem of low miscibility of CO2 and crude oil, resulting in low oil displacement efficiency, cannot be avoided. Thus, finding an appropriate method to increase the utilization rate of CO2 is a worth in-depth study. In light of this, this paper carries out the study on improving the CO2 flooding efficiency by using oil and gas amphiphilic surfactants. First of all, according to the molecular structure theory and the solubility experiment of surfactants in CO2, five kinds of surfactants and two kinds of additives with good performance of oil and gas were selected. Then, three experiments were conducted to explore the mechanism of the selected surfactants. The main mechanism of promoting the miscibility of CO2-crude oil is to reduce the interfacial tension of the oil and gas phases, followed by increasing the volume expansion of crude oil and reducing the viscosity of crude oil. Finally, through the slim tube displacement experiment, the oil displacement efficiency effect of adding the compound systems of SPO5/n-pentanol was simulated. The results show that the oil displacement efficiency is significantly higher than that of pure CO2 flooding, and the pressure of miscibility reduces at the same time. The selected reagents have a good effect of promoting miscibility. Therefore, this is an effective method to improve the geological utilization of CO2.

All-inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite solar cells display outstanding stability toward moisture, light soaking, and thermal stressing, demonstrating great potential in tandem solar cells and toward commercialization. Unfortunately, it is still challenging to prepare high-performance CsPbBr3 films at moderate temperatures. Herein, a uniform, compact CsPbBr3 film was fabricated using its quantum dot (QD)-based ink precursor. The film was then treated using thiocyanate ethyl acetate (EA) solution in all-ambient conditions to produce a superior CsPbBr3-CsPb2Br5 composite film with a larger grain size and minimal defects. The achievement was attributed to the surface dissolution and recrystallization of the existing SCN- and EA. More specifically, the SCN- ions were first absorbed on the Pb atoms, leading to the dissolution and stripping of Cs+ and Br- ions from the CsPbBr3 QDs. On the other hand, the EA solution enhances the diffusion dynamics of surface atoms and the surfactant species. It is found that a small amount of CsPb2Br5 in the composite film gives the best surface passivation, while the Br-rich surface decreases Br vacancies (VBr) for a prolonged carrier lifetime. As a result, the fabricated device gives a higher solar cell efficiency of 6.81% with an outstanding long-term stability.

Photodetectors (PDs), especially those that respond in the infrared region, are highly desirable and have a wide range of applications ranging from cell phones, cameras, and home electronics to airplanes and satellites. Herein, we designed and fabricated PDs based on air-stable α-CsPbI3 QDs and an up-conversion material (NaYF4:Yb,Er QDs) using a facial low temperature spin-coating method. When the α-CsPbI3 QDs are surface-modified using NaYF4:Yb,Er QDs, their optical response is extended to the NIR region to allow broadband application from the UV to visible to NIR region (260 nm-1100 nm). The optoelectronic properties and compositional stability of the devices were also studied in detail. From the results, the PDs are capable of broad-bandwidth photodetection from the deep UV to NIR region (260 nm-1100 nm) with good photoresponsivity (R, 1.5 A W-1), high on/off ratio (up to 104) and very short rise/decay time (less than 5 ms/5 ms). It was found that the photoresponsivity performance of the PDs in this work is better than that of all the other previously reported perovskite QD-based PDs with a lateral device structure. Furthermore, the device performance shows very little degradation over the course of 60 days of storage under ambient conditions. The combination of remarkable stability, high performance broad-bandwidth photodetection, and easy fabrication suggest that these QDs are a very promising semiconducting candidate for optoelectronic applications.

Boron-doped silicon nitride thin films (SiNx) containing silicon quantum dots (Si QD) were prepared in situ by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. With the aim of optimizing the performance of thin films, the mixed gas including argon and hydrogen was applied as dilution. The effects of Ar flow on the structural, electrical and optical properties of B-doped SiNx thin films were systemically studied through various characterizations. By tuning the Ar flow, the properties, such as QD size, crystallinity and optical band gap, can be effectively controlled. The B-doping efficiency in thin films was proved to be promoted by introducing moderate Ar flow. The maximum values of dark conductivity (1.52 S cm-1) and carrier concentration (2.41 × 1019 cm-3) were obtained for the B-doped SiNx thin films at the Ar flow of 200 sccm. Furthermore, the mechanism on the promotion in B-doping was illustrated in detail in this paper.

The PEDOT:PSS is often used as the window layer in the normal structured PEDOT:PSS/c-Si hybrid solar cell (HSC), leading to significantly reduced response, especially in red and near-infrared region. By depositing the PEDOT:PSS on the rear side of the c-Si wafer, we developed an inverted structured HSC with much higher solar cell response in the red and near-infrared spectrum. Passivating the other side with hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) before electrode deposition, the minority carrier lifetime has been significantly increased and the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the inverted HSC is improved to as high as 16.1% with an open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 634 mV, fill factor (FF) of 70.5%, and short-circuit current density (Jsc) of 36.2 mA cm-2, an improvement of 33% over the control device. The improvements are ascribed to inverted configuration and a-Si:H passivation, which can increase photon carrier generation and reduce carrier recombination, respectively. Both of them will benefit the photovoltaic performance and should be considered as effective design strategies to improve the performance of organic/c-Si HSCs.

Efficient up and down frequency conversions in Tm(3+) and Ho(3+) doped LaOF tetragonal nanocrystals have been investigated. Bright fluorescence emissions are obtained in co-doped Tm(3+)/Ho(3+):LaOF tetragonal nanocrystals through UV and infrared excitation. Green florescence from doped Ho(3+) ions, which can be clearly seen with bared eyes, is obtained when Tm(3+) ion is excited. Specific mechanism of the cross relaxation between doped ions is explored through spectroscopic measurements in time and frequency domains. About 90% energy transfer efficiency is obtained when the weak radiative and nonradiative relaxations are neglected.

Optical transitions of Eu(3+)-doped LaOF nanocrystals with tetragonal and rhombohedral structures were studied experimentally using laser spectroscopic method. Fluorescence emissions from 5D1 and 5D0 of Eu3+ in LaOF nanocrystals were detected by exciting the sample with a 532 nm pulsed laser, and the influence of local symmetry on the fluorescence emission of doped ions was observed. The specific crystalline phase as well as the local symmetry on the fluorescence emission was investigated in both the frequency domain and time domain. It was found that Eu3+ ions doped in the tetragonal crystal structure present more efficient fluorescence emission, which was explained by lower symmetric distribution of local field at the doped ions.

Nano-scaled and micro-scaled Tm(3+)-doped LaF3 were prepared by a hydrothermal technique. Two-photon resonant excitation from the ground state 3H6 to the excited state 1D2 was fulfilled by two pulsed dye lasers tuned at 656 nm and 643 nm, respectively, which were resonant with the ground state absorption of 3H6 --> 3F2 and the excited state absorption of 3H4 --> 1D2. The time evolution of the corresponding state was investigated with blue upconverted emission by tuning the delay of two excitation lights. The results showed that the nonradiative relaxation of the 3F2 state was mainly affected by the confinement effect, while the radiative relaxation of 3H4 state was significantly influenced by the Tm3+ concentration.

Tm(3+):LaF(3) nanocrystals were synthesized with hydrothermal technique. Local-field effect on the radiative relaxation rate was studied in the system of Tm(3+):LaF(3) nanocrystals immersed in several liquid media. The fluorescence lifetime was measured. It was found that the fluorescence decay presented the characteristics of second-order exponential decay, for which the contribution from the ions inside the nanocrystal and ions at the interface of the nanocrystal were distinguished. Investigating the experimental results with proposed models, we found that the surface effect had to be eliminated. For rare earth doped LaF(3) nanocrystals, real-cavity model well explains the influence of surrounding medium on the fluorescence relaxation rate.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between the morphological features of different types of neuronal intestinal malformations (NIM) and their postoperative complications. METHODS: The data of morphological and clinical features of 324 cases with NIM were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: In all 324 patients, 210 cases were Hirschsprung's disease (HD), 38 intestinal neuronal dysplasia (IND), 45 mixed HD/IND, 8 hypoganglionosis, 22 combined HD/hypoganglionosis and 1 immaturity of ganglion cells. The percentages of normal neuron in bowel of different NIM were 88.1%, 24.4%, 18.4%, 4/8, 27.7% and 0/1 in HD, HD/IND, IND, hypoganglionosis, HD/hypoganglionosis and immaturity of ganglion cells respectively. There were totally 46 cases complicated with recurrent postoperative enterocolitis (EC). Incidence of recurrent postoperative EC in HD patients was 6.7% while in IND/HD and IND patients was 35.6% and 28.9%, respectively. Incidences of EC in cases with the residual IND margins and with the normal margins were 38.2% and 8.7%, respectively. Incidence of EC in cases with transanal endorectal pull-through procedure and with transabdominal procedure was 18.0% and 8.3%, respectively. Nine cases underwent another procedure because of severe persistent constipation or EC after operation, including 4 cases HD/IND, 1 case IND, 3 cases HD and 1 case HD/hypoganglionosis. CONCLUSIONS: Neuron distribution is inconsistent with pathology of NIM. Postoperative EC are rare in the patients only with isolated HD. Furthermore, margins with residual IND and transanal endorectal pull-through procedure are risk factors to recurrent EC. However, the extension of excision about IND is uncertain and need further study.
