RESUMO

Iris laevigata Fisch. is an excellent ornamental plant in cold regions due to its unique ornamental ability and strong cold resistance. However, the flowering period of the population is only about 20 days, greatly limiting its potential uses in landscaping and the cutting flower industry. In addition, I. laevigata is often challenged with various abiotic stresses including high salinity and drought in its native habitats. Thus, breeding novel cultivars with delayed flowering time and higher resistance to abiotic stress is of high importance. In this study, we utilized sequencing data from the I. laevigata transcriptome to identify WRKYs and characterized IlWRKY22, a key transcription factor that modulates flowering time and abiotic stress responses. IlWRKY22 is induced by salt and drought stress. We cloned IlWRKY22 and found that it is a Group IIe WRKY localized in the nucleus. Overexpressing IlWRKY22 in Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh. and Nicotiana tabacum L. resulted in a delayed flowering time in the transgenic plants. We created transgenic N. tabacum overexpressing IlWRKY22, which showed significantly improved resistance to both salt and drought compared to the control plants. Thus, our study revealed a unique dual function of IlWRKY22, an excellent candidate gene for breeding novel Iris cultivars of desirable traits.

The development of acute lung injury (ALI), a common respiratory condition with multiple causes, is significantly influenced by the pro-inflammatory environment of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in macrophages. Our study aimed to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of B9 (N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-9, 10-dioxo-9, 10-dihydroanthracene-2-sulfonamide), a novel inhibitor targeting the STAT3 SH2 domain, in macrophages and to assess its therapeutic potential for ALI using a mouse model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ALI. We found that B9 (30 mg/kg) significantly reduced lung pathological damage and neutrophil infiltration caused by the intratracheal administration of LPS. Additionally, the high expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1ß, and IL-6) in alveolar lavage fluid was also inhibited by B9 treatment. The decreased expression of CD86 and increased CD206 in lung tissue demonstrated the anti-inflammatory effect of B9, which was due to its inhibition of the STAT3 signaling pathway in macrophages of ALI mice. Furthermore, B9 suppressed the activation of RAW264.7 cells induced by LPS, characterized by its ability to inhibit the activation of iNOS and STAT3 in a dose-dependent manner, as well as reduce the secretion of IL-6 and IL-1ß. The in vivo preliminary safety evaluation indicated that B9 had a favorable safety profile at the administered doses. These results suggest that B9 exerts a therapeutic effect on LPS-induced ALI, potentially by preventing the phosphorylation of STAT3 Y705 and S727 without affecting the STAT3 protein level. Taken together, these findings provide a foundation for developing B9 as a novel anti-inflammatory agent for ameliorating LPS-induced ALI.

To elucidate the degradation mechanism of the CMC-modified MMT composite at aggressive Cu2+ concentrations, large scale molecular dynamics simulation was conducted for CuCl2 concentrations ranging from 0 to 800 mM. Both CMC and MMT followed the Langmuir isotherm for Cu2+ adsorption, and the adsorption capacity of CMC (8.75 mmol/g) was much higher than that of MMT (0.83 mmol/g). Despite the CMC mass ratio being only 4.1%, it adsorbed up to 34.3% of the total adsorbed Cu2+. The Cu2+ attraction ability hierarchy of oxygen-containing functional groups in the CMC is as follows: carboxylic oxygens > alcoholic oxygens > carbinolic oxygens > bridging oxygens > glucose oxygens. Carboxyls were the most effective in chelating and complexing with Cu2+, and they could be intentionally added in artificially synthesized polymer-MMT composites for Cu2+ containment. Formation of the Cu2+ cation bridge between CMC and MMT at aggressive CuCl2 concentrations contributed to the transition of CMC density distribution from unimodality to bimodality and enhanced resistance of polymer elution. As the CuCl2 concentration increased, the stoichiometric ratio between the chelated Cu2+ and carboxylic oxygens increased from 1:2 to 1:1, suggesting the evolution of the Cu2+ chelation mechanism.

RN-9893, a TRPV4 antagonist identified by Renovis Inc., showcased notable inhibition of TRPV4 channels. This research involved synthesizing and evaluating three series of RN-9893 analogues for their TRPV4 inhibitory efficacy. Notably, compounds 1b and 1f displayed a 2.9 to 4.5-fold increase in inhibitory potency against TRPV4 (IC50 = 0.71 ± 0.21 µM and 0.46 ± 0.08 µM, respectively) in vitro, in comparison to RN-9893 (IC50 = 2.07 ± 0.90 µM). Both compounds also significantly outperformed RN-9893 in TRPV4 current inhibition rates (87.6 % and 83.2 % at 10 µM, against RN-9893's 49.4 %). For the first time, these RN-9893 analogues were profiled in an in vivo mouse model, where intraperitoneal injections of 1b or 1f at 10 mg/kg notably mitigated symptoms of acute lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). These outcomes indicate that compounds 1b and 1f are promising candidates for acute lung injury treatment.

AIM: To evaluate the relationship of overweight and obesity with retinal and choroidal thickness in adults without ocular symptoms by swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT). METHODS: According to the body mass index (BMI) results, the adults enrolled in the cross-sectional study were divided into the normal group (18.50≤BMI<25.00 kg/m2), the overweight group (25.00≤BMI<30.00 kg/m2), and the obesity group (BMI≥30.00 kg/m2). The one-way ANOVA and the Chi-square test were used for comparisons. Pearson's correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationships between the measured variables. RESULTS: This research covered the left eyes of 3 groups of 434 age- and sex-matched subjects each: normal, overweight, and obesity. The mean BMI was 22.20±1.67, 26.82±1.38, and 32.21±2.35 kg/m2 in normal, overweight and obesity groups, respectively. The choroid was significantly thinner in both the overweight and obesity groups compared to the normal group (P<0.05 for all), while the retinal thickness of the three groups did not differ significantly. Pearson's correlation analysis showed that BMI was significantly negatively correlated with choroidal thickness, but no significant correlation was observed between BMI and retinal thickness. CONCLUSION: Choroidal thickness is decreased in people with overweight or obesity. Research on changes in choroidal thickness contributes to the understanding of the mechanisms of certain ocular disorders in overweight and obese adults.

Quercus gilva, an evergreen tree species in Quercus section Cyclobalanopsis, is an ecologically and economically valuable species in subtropical regions of East Asia. Predicting the impact of climate change on potential distribution of Q. gilva can provide a scientific basis for the conservation and utilization of its genetic resources, as well as for afforestation. In this study, 74 distribution records of Q. gilva and nine climate variables were obtained after data collection and processing. Current climate data downloaded from WorldClim and future climate data predicted by four future climate scenarios (2040s SSP1-2.6, 2040s SSP5-8.5, 2060s SSP1-2.6, and 2060s SSP5-8.5) mainly based on greenhouse gases emissions of distribution sites were used in MaxEnt model with optimized parameters to predict distribution dynamics of Q. gilva and its response to climate change. The results showed that the predicted current distribution was consistent with natural distribution of Q. gilva, which was mainly located in Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guizhou, and Taiwan provinces of China, as well as Japan and Jeju Island of South Korea. Under current climate conditions, precipitation factors played a more significant role than temperature factors on distribution of Q. gilva, and precipitation of driest quarter (BIO17) is the most important restriction factor for its current distribution (contribution rate of 57.35%). Under future climate conditions, mean temperature of driest quarter (BIO9) was the essential climate factor affecting future change in potential distribution of Q. gilva. As the degree of climatic anomaly increased in the future, the total area of predicted distribution of Q. gilva showed a shrinking trend (decreased by 12.24%-45.21%) and Q. gilva would migrate to high altitudes and latitudes. The research results illustrated potential distribution range and suitable climate conditions of Q. gilva, which can provide essential theoretical references for the conservation, development, and utilization of Q. gilva and other related species.

Originally pioneered in adults, endoscopic endonasal approaches for skull base pathology are being increasingly applied as a minimally invasive alternative for young children. Intrinsic anatomic differences between these patient populations have sparked discussions on the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of these techniques in pediatric patients. This work aims to serve as a primer for clinicians engaged in the rapidly evolving field of pediatric endoscopic skull base surgery. A succinct overview of relevant embryology, sinonasal anatomy, and diagnostic workup is presented to emphasize key differences and unique technical considerations. Additional discussions regarding select skull base lesions, reconstructive paradigms, potential surgical complications, and postoperative care are also highlighted in the setting of multidisciplinary teams.

This investigation focuses on the Goos-Hänchen (GH) and Imbert-Fedorov (IF) shifts on the surface of the uniaxial hyperbolic material hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) based on the biaxial hyperbolic material alpha-molybdenum (α-MoO3) trioxide structure, where the anisotropic axis of hBN is rotated by an angle with respect to the incident plane. The surface with the highest degree of anisotropy among the two crystals is selected in order to analyze and calculate the GH- and IF-shifts of the system, and obtain the complex beam-shift spectra. The addition of α-MoO3 substrate significantly amplified the GH shift on the system's surface, as compared to silica substrate. With the p-polarization light incident, the GH shift can reach 381.76λ0 at about 759.82 cm-1, with the s-polarization light incident, the GH shift can reach 288.84λ0 at about 906.88 cm-1, and with the c-polarization light incident, the IF shift can reach 3.76λ0 at about 751.94 cm-1. The adjustment of the IF shift, both positive and negative, as well as its asymmetric nature, can be achieved by manipulating the left and right circular polarization light and torsion angle. The aforementioned intriguing phenomena offer novel insights for the advancement of sensor technology and optical encoder design.

INTRODUCTION: The incidence of breast cancer has steadily risen over the years owing to changes in lifestyle and environment. Presently, breast cancer is one of the primary causes of cancer-related deaths among women, making it a crucial global public health concern. Thus, the creation of an automated diagnostic system for breast cancer bears great importance in the medical community. OBJECTIVES: This study analyses the Wisconsin breast cancer dataset and develops a machine learning algorithm for accurately classifying breast cancer as benign or malignant. METHODS: Our research is a retrospective study, and the main purpose is to develop a high-precision classification algorithm for benign and malignant breast cancer. To achieve this, we first preprocessed the dataset using standard techniques such as feature scaling and handling missing values. We assessed the normality of the data distribution initially, after which we opted for Spearman correlation analysis to examine the relationship between the feature subset data and the labeled data, considering the normality test results. We subsequently employed the Wilcoxon rank sum test to investigate the dissimilarities in distribution among various breast cancer feature data. We constructed the feature subset based on statistical results and trained 7 machine learning algorithms, specifically the decision tree, stochastic gradient descent algorithm, random forest algorithm, support vector machine algorithm, logistics algorithm, and AdaBoost algorithm. RESULTS: The results of the evaluation indicated that the AdaBoost-Logistic algorithm achieved an accuracy of 99.12%, outperforming the other 6 algorithms and previous techniques. CONCLUSION: The constructed AdaBoost-Logistic algorithm exhibits significant precision with the Wisconsin breast cancer dataset, achieving commendable classification performance for both benign and malignant breast cancer cases.

We reported a chiral oxamide-phosphine ligand (COAP-Ph)-Pd-catalyzed asymmetric [3+2] cycloaddition reaction between vinyl cyclopropane compounds derived from 1,3-indanedione and 2-vinylcyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylates with cyclic sulfonyl 1-azadienes. The corresponding reactions provided a series of enantiomerically active spiro cyclopentane-indandione and cyclopentane structures bearing three consecutive stereogenic centers in good yields with good diastereo- and enantioselectivity. The COAP-Pd complex serves not only to promote generation of chiral π-allyl-palladium intermediates and induce the asymmetry of the reaction, but also depress the background reaction.

BACKGROUND: To analyse the association among the simultaneous effects of dietary intake, daily life behavioural factors, and frailty outcomes in older Chinese women, we predicted the probability of maintaining physical robustness under a combination of different variables. METHODS: The Fried frailty criterion was used to determine the three groups of "frailty", "pre-frailty", and "robust", and a national epidemiological survey was performed. The three-classification decision tree model was fitted, and the comprehensive performance of the model was evaluated to predict the probability of occurrence of different outcomes. RESULTS: Among the 1,044 participants, 15.9% were frailty and 50.29% were pre-frailty; the overall prevalence first increased and then decreased with age, reaching a peak at 70-74 years of age. Through univariate analysis, filtering, and embedded screening, eight significant variables were identified: staple food, spices, exercise (frequency, intensity, and time), work frequency, self-feeling, and family emotions. In the three-classification decision tree, the values of each evaluation index of Model 3 were relatively average; the accuracy, recall, specificity, precision, and F1 score range were between 75% and 84%, and the AUC was also greater than 0.800, indicating excellent performance and the best interpretability of the results. Model 3 takes exercise time as the root node and contains 6 variables and 10 types, suggesting the impact of the comprehensive effect of these variables on robust and non-robust populations (the predicted probability range is 6.67-93.33%). CONCLUSION: The combined effect of these factors (no exercise or less than 0.5 h of exercise per day, occasional exercise, exercise at low intensity, feeling more tired at work, and eating too many staple foods (> 450 g per day) are more detrimental to maintaining robustness.

Background: Mechanical forces are indispensable for bone healing, disruption of which is recognized as a contributing cause to nonunion or delayed union. However, the underlying mechanism of mechanical regulation of fracture healing is elusive. Methods: We used the lineage-tracing mouse model, conditional knockout depletion mouse model, hindlimb unloading model and single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze the crucial roles of mechanosensitive protein polycystin-1 (PC1, Pkd1) promotes periosteal stem/progenitor cells (PSPCs) osteochondral differentiation in fracture healing. Results: Our results showed that cathepsin (Ctsk)-positive PSPCs are fracture-responsive and mechanosensitive and can differentiate into osteoblasts and chondrocytes during fracture repair. We found that polycystin-1 declines markedly in PSPCs with mechanical unloading while increasing in response to mechanical stimulus. Mice with conditional depletion of Pkd1 in Ctsk+ PSPCs show impaired osteochondrogenesis, reduced cortical bone formation, delayed fracture healing, and diminished responsiveness to mechanical unloading. Mechanistically, PC1 facilitates nuclear translocation of transcriptional coactivator TAZ via PC1 C-terminal tail cleavage, enhancing osteochondral differentiation potential of PSPCs. Pharmacological intervention of the PC1-TAZ axis and promotion of TAZ nuclear translocation using Zinc01442821 enhances fracture healing and alleviates delayed union or nonunion induced by mechanical unloading. Conclusion: Our study reveals that Ctsk+ PSPCs within the callus can sense mechanical forces through the PC1-TAZ axis, targeting which represents great therapeutic potential for delayed fracture union or nonunion.

Copper contaminant generated from mining and industrial smelting poses potential risks to human health. Biochar, as a low-energy and cost-effective biomaterial, holds value in Cu remediation. Spectral Induced Polarization (SIP) technique is employed in this study to monitor the Cu remediation processes of by biochar in column experiments. Cation exchange at low Cu2+ concentrations and surface complexation at high Cu2+ concentrations are identified as the major mechanisms for copper retention on biochar. The normalized chargeability (mn) from SIP signals linearly decreased (R2 = 0.776) with copper retention under 60 mg/L Cu influent; while mn linearly increases (R2 = 0.907, 0.852) under high 300 and 700 mg/L Cu influents. The characteristic polarizing unit sizes (primarily the pores adsorbing Cu2+) calculated from Schwartz equation match well with experimental results by mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP). It is revealed that Cu2+ was driven to small pores (∼3 µm) given high concentration gradient (influent Cu2+ concentration of 700 mg/L). Comparing to activated carbon, biochar is identified as an ideal adsorbent for Cu remediation, given its high adsorption capacity, cost-effectiveness, carbon-sink ability, and high sensitivity to SIP responses - the latter facilitates its performance assessment.

The palladium-catalyzed highly regioselective asymmetric allylic alkylation of 3'-indolyl-3-oxindole derivatives with Morita-Baylis-Hillman (MBH) carbonates was developed to facilely construct chiral 3,3'-bisindole derivatives under mild reaction conditions. The regioselectivity (α/γ) of MBH carbonates was efficiently switched in the presence of chiral oxalamide phosphine or spiroketal-based diphosphine/Pd(0) complexes as a chiral catalyst. A series of multifunctional 3,3'-bisindole derivatives with all-carbon quaternary stereogenic centers were obtained in high yields with good to excellent enantio-, diastereo-, and regioselectivity. The present process is endowed with some salient features such as broad substrate scope, N-protecting group-free, excellent stereoselectivity, as well as adjustable regioselectivity.

BACKGROUND: Identifying the key molecular targets in hypopharynx squamous cell carcinoma (HSCC) is crucial for understanding this prevalent and highly fatal type of head and neck tumor. The study aims to enhance comprehension of the HSCC process by accurately identifying these key molecular targets. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this study, we examined 47 clinical tissue samples from individuals diagnosed with HSCC using RNA-seq high-throughput assay. Quantitative real-time PCR (RT-PCR) was used to compare long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) bladder cancer-associated transcript 1 (BLACAT1) expression in HSCC tissues versus adjacent non-tumor tissues. The influence of highly expressed lncRNA BLACAT1 on prognostic survival was assessed. Subsequently, we cultured human pharynx squamous cell carcinoma FaDu cells. After reducing lncRNA BLACAT1 expression, we assessed FaDu cell proliferation, invasion, and migration using Cell Counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, colony formation assay, EUD assay, Transwell assay, and scratch assay. Additionally, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and western blotting analysis were used to analyze proteins that bind to lncRNA BLACAT1. During in vivo experiments, mice received subcutaneous injections of FaDu cells transfected with lncRNA BLACAT1 shRNA or Scr plasmid (Control) in the dorsal region to observe and compare tumor growth. Lastly, tumor tissues underwent hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining. RESULTS: lncRNA BLACAT1 was screened as one of the most significant genes among the group of differentially expressed lncRNAs. RT-PCR exhibited elevated lncRNA BLACAT1 expression in HSCC tissues when compared to non-tumor tissues (p < 0.001). Furthermore, increased lncRNA BLACAT1 expression correlated with advanced clinical stages, heightened lymphatic invasion, and a poor prognosis. Subsequent in vitro experiments solidified our observations, demonstrating lncRNA BLACAT1's promotion of HSCC cell proliferation (p < 0.05), migration (p < 0.01), and invasion (p < 0.01) compared with the control group. Moreover, LC-MS/MS identified signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) and Prohibitin 2 (PHB2) as lncRNA BLACAT1-binding proteins and sh-lncRNA BLACAT1 inhibits STAT3/AKT phosphorylation (p < 0.01) and alters the subcellular distribution of PHB2 and P21 compared with the control group (p < 0.01). Moreover, in vivo experiments showed that lncRNA BLACAT1 inhibition suppresses tumorigenicity in an HSCC xenograft model compared to the control group (p < 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: lncRNA BLACAT1 is highly expressed in HSCC tumor tissues and plays a crucial role in the development of HSCC in vitro and in vivo. This increased expression may be caused by STAT3/AKT pathway activation, consequently inhibiting P21 expression through PHB2.

OBJECTIVE: Provide clinicians with current evidence for biologic therapy in children with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP). DATA SOURCES: PubMed, MEDLINE, Cochrane, and clinical trial registries. REVIEW METHODS: Key search terms related to biologic therapy in pediatric CRSwNP were identified via a structured query of current medical literature and clinical trial databases. CONCLUSIONS: There is a dearth of active clinical trials and research studies for biologics targeting pediatric CRSwNP. There is an ongoing compassionate-use clinical trial involving Dupilumab for children with nasal polyps as well as only 1 published work specifically focused on Dupilumab for pediatric CRSwNP in the setting of aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE: For children with atopic dermatitis, asthma, and chronic idiopathic urticaria, biologic therapies such as Omalizumab, Dupilumab, and Mepolizumab have gained Food and Drug Administration approval. The role of biologic therapy in pediatric CRSwNP demonstrates significant promise in the comprehensive management of the unified airway. Additional Phase III trials are necessary to broaden clinical indications for children with comorbid conditions and complex sinonasal disease.

BACKGROUND: To avoid acute variceal bleeding in cirrhosis, current guidelines recommend screening for high-risk esophageal varices (EVs) by determining variceal size and identifying red wale markings. However, visual measurements of EV during routine endoscopy are often inaccurate. AIM: To determine whether biopsy forceps (BF) could be used as a reference to improve the accuracy of binary classification of variceal size. METHODS: An in vitro self-made EV model with sizes ranging from 2 to 12 mm in diameter was constructed. An online image-based survey comprising 11 endoscopic images of simulated EV without BF and 11 endoscopic images of EV with BF was assembled and sent to 84 endoscopists. The endoscopists were blinded to the actual EV size and evaluated the 22 images in random order. RESULTS: The respondents included 48 academic and four private endoscopists. The accuracy of EV size estimation was low in both the visual (13.81%) and BF-based (20.28%) groups. The use of open forceps improved the ability of the endoscopists to correctly classify the varices by size (small ≤ 5 mm, large > 5 mm) from 71.85% to 82.17% (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: BF may improve the accuracy of EV size assessment, and its use in clinical practice should be investigated.

RESUMO

The incidence of ischemic stroke (IS) is rising in tandem with the global aging population. There is an urgent need to delve deeper into the pathological mechanisms and develop new neuroprotective strategies. In the present review, we discuss the latest advancements and research on various nanodrug delivery systems (NDDSs) for targeting microglial polarization in IS treatment. Furthermore, we critically discuss the different strategies. NDDSs have demonstrated exceptional qualities to effectively permeate the blood-brain barrier, aggregate at the site of ischemic injury, and target specific cell types within the brain when appropriately modified. Consequently, NDDSs have considerable potential for reshaping the polarization phenotype of microglia and could be a prospective therapeutic strategy for IS. The treatment of IS remains a challenge. However, this review provides a new perspective on neuro-nanomedicine for IS therapies centered on microglial polarization, thereby inspiring new research ideas and directions.

In this article, a mid-infrared all-fiber light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy (LITES) sensor based on a hollow-core anti-resonant fiber (HC-ARF) was reported for the first time. The HC-ARF was applied as a light transmission medium and gas chamber. The constructed all-fiber structure has merits of low loss, easy optical alignment, good system stability, reduced sensor size and cost. The mid-infrared transmission structure can be utilized to target the strongest gas absorption lines. The reversely-tapered SM1950 fiber and the HC-ARF were spatially butt-coupled with a V-shaped groove between the two fibers to facilitate gas entry. Carbon monoxide (CO) with an absorption line at 4291.50 cm-1 (2.33 µm) was chosen as the target gas to verify the sensing performance. The experimental results showed that the all-fiber LITES sensor based on HC-ARF had an excellent linear response to CO concentration. Allan deviation analysis indicated that the system had excellent long-term stability. A minimum detection limit (MDL) of 3.85 ppm can be obtained when the average time was 100 s.

BACKGROUND: Huangqi (Radix Astragali) is a natural medicine with a wide range of uses. The research related to Huangqi is getting hotter and the number of publications is gradually increasing. This study aims to explore the current status and emerging trends of Huangqi-related research. METHOD: Huangqi-related literature was systemically obtained from the Web of Science database. The CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and, R package "Bibliometrix" tools were used to analyze the number of publications, countries, research institutions, journals, authors, keywords, references, and trends. RESULTS: A total of 2255 papers were retrieved for analysis. These papers were written by 11,247 authors from 1927 institutions in 71 countries, published in 570 journals, and cited 73,534 references from 11,553 journals. From 1999 to 2022, the number of publications gradually increased. China was the country with the highest number of publications. The most prolific institution was Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine. Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine was the journal publishing the most Huangqi-related literature. Dr Karl Wah Keung Tsim was the authors with the most output publications. The Review, entitle "Review of the Botanical Characteristics, Phytochemistry, and Pharmacology of Astragalus membranaceous (Huangqi)," was the reference being cited most frequently. The major keywords were apoptosis, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Gut microbiota and epithelial-mesenchymal transitions were new research hotspots in recent years. CONCLUSION: This study used quantitative and visual analysis of Huangqi to provide insights into the research priorities, frontier research hotspots, and future research trends in this field.
