OBJECTIVES: To investigate the efficacy of therapeutic hypothermia on mild neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). METHODS: A prospective study was performed on 153 neonates with mild HIE who were born from September 2019 to September 2023. These neonates were randomly divided into two groups: therapeutic hypothermia (n=77) and non-therapeutic hypothermia group (n=76). The short-term clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Barkovich scoring system was used to analyze the severity of brain injury shown on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) between the two groups. RESULTS: There were no significant differences in gestational age, gender, birth weight, mode of birth, and Apgar score between the therapeutic hypothermia and non-therapeutic hypothermia groups (P>0.05). There were no significant differences in the incidence rates of sepsis, arrhythmia, persistent pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary hemorrhage and the duration of mechanical ventilation within the first 72 hours after birth between the two groups. The therapeutic hypothermia group had longer prothrombin time within the first 72 hours after birth and a longer hospital stay (P<0.05). Compared with the non-therapeutic hypothermia group, the therapeutic hypothermia group had lower incidence rates of MRI abnormalities (30% vs 57%), moderate to severe brain injury on MRI (5% vs 28%), and watershed injury (27% vs 51%) (P<0.05), as well as lower medium watershed injury score (0 vs 1) (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Therapeutic hypothermia can reduce the incidence rates of MRI abnormalities and watershed injury, without obvious adverse effects, in neonates with mild HIE, suggesting that therapeutic hypothermia may be beneficial in neuroprotection in these neonates.

BACKGROUND: Interlesional response heterogeneity (ILRH) poses challenges to the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Currently, there are no prospective clinical trials exploring the prognostic significance of ILRH on paired positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in the context of abiraterone therapy. METHODS: In this prospective study, we enrolled patients with mCRPC treated with abiraterone (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT05188911; ChiCTR.org.cn: ChiCTR2000034708). 68Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)+18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) monitoring were performed at baseline and week 13. Patients were grouped by their early ILRH measurement. The primary endpoint was to evaluate the predictive role of ILRH for conventional progression-free survival (PFS) through the concordance index (C-index) assessment. Conventional PFS was defined as the time from medication to conventional radiographic progression, clinical progression, or death. FINDINGS: Ultimately, 33 patients were included with a median follow-up of 28.7 months. Baseline+week 13 PSMA PET/CT revealed that 33.3% of patients showed ILRH. Those patients with hetero-responding disease had significantly different PFS compared to the responding and non-responding groups (hazard ratio: responding group = reference, hetero-responding group = 4.0, non-responding group = 5.8; p < 0.0001). The C-index of ILRH on paired PSMA PET/CT (0.742 vs. 0.660) and FDG PET/CT (0.736 vs. 0.668) for conventional PFS was higher than that of PSA response. In an exploratory analysis, PSMA-/FDG+ lesions at week 13 were identified as a strong surrogate for poor conventional PFS (p = 0.039). CONCLUSIONS: ILRH on both baseline+week 13 PSMA and FDG PET/CT strongly associated with conventional PFS. Aluminum Scandium Nitride (Al1-xScxN) has received attention for its exceptional ferroelectric properties, whereas the fundamental mechanism determining its dynamic response and reliability remains elusive. In this work, an unreported nucleation-based polarization switching mechanism in Al0.7Sc0.3N (AlScN) is unveiled, driven by its intrinsic ferroelectricity rooted in the ionic displacement. Fast polarization switching, characterized by a remarkably low characteristic time of 0.00183 ps, is captured, and effectively simulated using a nucleation-limited switching (NLS) model, where the profound effect of defects on the nucleation and domain propagation is systematically studied. These findings are further integrated into Monte Carlo simulations to unravel the influence of the activation energy for ferroelectric switching on the distributions of switching thresholds. The long-term reliability of devices is also confirmed by time-dependent dielectric breakdown (TDDB) measurements, and the effect of thickness scaling is discussed. Ferroelectric field-effect transistors (FeFETs) are demonstrated through the integration of AlScN and 2D MoS2 channel, where biological synaptic functions can be emulated with optimized operation voltage. The artificial neural network built from AlScN-based FeFETs achieves 93.8% recognition accuracy of handwritten digits, demonstrating the potential of ferroelectric AlScN in future neuromorphic computing applications.

BACKGROUND: Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a common cause of severe thrombocytopenia in dogs. The pathogenesis of nonassociative, primary ITP (pITP) appears complex, with ill-defined thrombopoietic response. OBJECTIVES: Develop an immunoassay to measure plasma canine thrombopoietin (TPO) concentration and characterize TPO concentrations in dogs with pITP. ANIMALS: Forty-one healthy dogs, 8 dogs in an induced ITP model (3 control, 5 ITP), and 58 pITP dogs. METHODS: Recombinant canine TPO (rcTPO) was purchased and its identity confirmed by mass spectrometry. Monoclonal antibodies were raised to rcTPO and used to configure a sandwich ELISA using streptavidin-biotin detection. Assay performance, coefficients of variability, and healthy dog plasma TPO reference interval (RI) were determined, followed by assay of ITP samples. RESULTS: Assay dynamic range was 15 pg/mL (lower limit of detection) to 1000 pg/mL TPO, with limit of quantitation of 62 pg/mL. Plasma TPO RI was 0 to 158 pg/mL, with plasma TPO <62 pg/mL for 35/41 healthy dogs. All dogs with induced ITP developed marked increases in plasma TPO concentration. Peak values ranged from 515 to >6000 pg/mL. In contrast, only 2/58 pITP dogs had TPO values above RI. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL IMPORTANCE: Plasma TPO concentration is paradoxically low at diagnosis for most dogs with pITP. This finding suggests that ineffective thrombopoiesis contributes to thrombocytopenia in pITP dogs and supports evaluating TPO receptor agonist treatment as used for pITP in humans. The TPO assay provides a new tool to study thrombopoiesis in pITP and other thrombocytopenic syndromes in dogs.

Background: Circadian rhythms impact metabolism and the therapeutic effects of drugs. The purpose of this study was to determine the association between PER and CRY polymorphisms and caffeine citrate treatment response in infants with apnea of prematurity. Methods: A total of 221 preterm infants of gestational age <34 weeks were included in this study (160 in the response group and 61 in the non-response group). The propensity score matching method was used to perform a 1:1 matching for all premature infants, and the general characteristics and clinical outcomes of the two groups were compared. The association between polymorphisms of the circadian transcription repressors PER and CRY and caffeine citrate treatment response in infants with apnea of prematurity was analyzed with co-dominant, dominant, recessive, and over-dominant models, as well as analysis of alleles. Generalized multifactor dimensionality reduction (GMDR) analysis was used to analyze the interaction between the PER and CRY genes. Results: After propensity score matching, 45 preterm infants were included in each of the response and non-response groups, and there were no statistically significant differences in general characteristics between the two groups (P > 0.05). Infants in the non-response groups had a higher incidence of moderate and severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) (P = 0.043), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) (P = 0.035), and invasive ventilation (P = 0.027), and their duration of oxygen use (P = 0.041) was longer. When corrected for false discovery rate, the PER3 rs228669 recessive model (P FDR = 0.045) and the over-dominant model (P FDR = 0.045) were both associated with caffeine citrate treatment response. Preterm infants with the rs228669 CC genotype had a significantly lower rate of caffeine citrate non-response in the recessive model (OR = 0.28, 95% CI = 0.12-0.66), which was significantly higher in preterm infants with the CT genotype in the over-dominant model (OR = 4.18, 95% CI = 1.64-10.66). GMDR analysis revealed an interaction between the PER and CRY genes (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Circadian rhythms may play a role in the response of premature infants to caffeine citrate, and polymorphisms of the PER and CRY genes may influence the effectiveness of caffeine citrate treatment for apnea of prematurity.

Electronic skins (E-Skins) are crucial for future robotics and wearable devices to interact with and perceive the real world. Prior research faces challenges in achieving comprehensive tactile perception and versatile functionality while keeping system simplicity for lack of multimodal sensing capability in a single sensor. Two kinds of tactile sensors, transient voltage artificial neuron (TVAN) and sustained potential artificial neuron (SPAN), featuring self-generated zero-biased signals are developed to realize synergistic sensing of multimodal information (vibration, material, texture, pressure, and temperature) in a single device instead of complex sensor arrays. Simultaneously, machine learning with feature fusion is applied to fully decode their output information and compensate for the inevitable instability of applied force, speed, etc, in real applications. Integrating TVAN and SPAN, the formed E-Skin achieves holistic touch awareness in only a single unit. It can thoroughly perceive an object through a simple touch without strictly controlled testing conditions, realize the capability to discern surface roughness from 0.8 to 1600 µm, hardness from 6HA to 85HD, and correctly distinguish 16 objects with temperature variance from 0 to 80 °C. The E-skin also features a simple and scalable fabrication process, which can be integrated into various devices for broad applications.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are noncoding RNAs abundant in brain tissue, and many are derived from activity-dependent, linear mRNAs encoding for synaptic proteins, suggesting that circRNAs may directly or indirectly play a role in regulating synaptic development, plasticity, and function. However, it is unclear if the circular forms of these RNAs are similarly regulated by activity and what role these circRNAs play in developmental plasticity. Here, we employed transcriptome-wide analysis comparing differential expression of both mRNAs and circRNAs in juvenile mouse primary visual cortex (V1) following monocular deprivation (MD), a model of developmental plasticity. Among the differentially expressed mRNAs and circRNAs following 3-day MD, the circular and the activity-dependent linear forms of the Homer1 gene, circHomer1 and Homer1a respectively, were of interest as their expression changed in opposite directions: circHomer1 expression increased while the expression of Homer1a decreased following MD. Knockdown of circHomer1 prevented the depression of closed-eye responses normally observed after 3-day MD. circHomer1-knockdown led to a reduction in average dendritic spine size prior to MD, but critically there was no further reduction after 3-day MD, consistent with impaired structural plasticity. circHomer1-knockdown also prevented the reduction of surface AMPA receptors after 3-day MD. Synapse-localized puncta of the AMPA receptor endocytic protein Arc increased in volume after MD but were smaller in circHomer1-knockdown neurons, suggesting that circHomer1 regulates plasticity through mechanisms of activity-dependent AMPA receptor endocytosis. Thus, activity-dependent circRNAs regulate developmental synaptic plasticity, and our findings highlight the essential role of circHomer1 in V1 plasticity induced by short-term MD.

Precisely detecting organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) is paramount in upholding human safety and environmental preservation, especially in food safety. Herein, an electrochemical acetylcholinesterase (AChE) sensing platform entrapped in chitosan (Chit) on the glassy carbon electrodes (GCEs) decorated with Pt/MoS2/Ti3C2 MXene (Pt/MoS2/TM) was constructed for the detection of chlorpyrifos. It is worth noting that Pt/MoS2/TM possesses good biocompatibility, remarkable electrical conductivity, environmental stability and large specific surface area. Besides, the heterostructure formed by the composite of TM and MoS2 improves the conductivity and maintains the original structure, which is conducive to improving the electrochemical property. The coordination effect between the individual components enables the even distribution of functional components and enhances the electrochemical performance of the biosensor (AChE-Chit/Pt/MoS2/TM). Under optimal efficiency and sensitivity, the AChE-Chit/Pt/MoS2/TM/GCE sensing platform exerts comparable analytical performance and a wide concentration range of chlorpyrifos from 10-12 to 10-6 M as well as a low limit of detection (4.71 × 10-13 M). Furthermore, the biosensor is utilized to detect OPs concerning three kinds of fruits and vegetables with good feasibility and recoveries (94.81% to 104.0%). This work would provide a new scheme to develop high-sensitivity sensors based on the two-dimensional nanosheet/laminar hybrid structure for practical applications in environmental monitoring and agricultural product detection.

RESUMO

Superconducting materials have garnered widespread attention due to their zero-resistance characteristic and complete diamagnetism. After more than 100 years of exploration, various high-temperature superconducting materials including cuprates, nickelates, iron-based compounds, and ultra-high pressure multi-hydrides have been discovered. However, the practical application of these materials is severely hindered by their poor ductility and/or the need for high-pressure conditions to maintain structural stability. To address these challenges, we first provide a new thought to build high-temperature superconducting materials based on few-hydrogen metal-bonded hydrides under ambient pressure. We then review the related research efforts in this article. Moreover, based on the bonding type of atoms, we classify the existing important superconducting materials and propose the new concepts of pseudo-metal and quasi-metal superconductivity, which are expected to be helpful for the design of new high-temperature superconducting materials in the future.

Peripheral intravenous central catheter (PICC) is a common tool for intravenous infusion for children who need central venous access. Although it is safe for physicians and nurses to place, complications like infection, occlusion, phlebitis, and bleeding can occur. We report a 5-month-old infant who suffered respiratory failure caused by catheter malposition resulting in massive fluid infusion into the thoracic cavity. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) was utilized to identify a massive pleural effusion that prompted urgent drainage. Complications related to PICC in pediatric patients are not common but difficult to immediately identify sometimes. Therefore, careful attention should be paid by physicians to identify and reduce the risk of complications associated with PICC. Thus, visual tools are strongly advised to enhance the safety of invasive procedures.

Purpose: Numerous empirical studies consistently support the detrimental impact of job insecurity (JI) on employees. However, a new perspective suggests that individuals perceiving JI may proactively take measures to protect their positions. Drawing from the conservation of resources theory, this study argues that perceived resource loss due to JI motivates employees to engage in ingratiating behaviors for expanding their social capital. Additionally, this study empirically establishes the mediating role of emotional exhaustion and the moderating effect of power distance. Methods: A daily diary design was used to examine the relationship between daily JI and next-day ingratiation. Our analyses of data collected from 134 full-time employees across 10 consecutive working days using multi-level model. Results: Our results showed that daily JI was found to affect next-day ingratiation (γ = 0.14, p < 0.01), and this relationship was mediated by emotional exhaustion (indirect effect = 0.07, p < 0.05, 95% CI [0.01, 0.13]). Power distance moderated the relationship between emotional exhaustion and ingratiation (γ = 0.25, p < 0.001), and further moderated the indirect effect of JI on ingratiation via emotional exhaustion. Conclusion: Our study has revealed that JI serves as a catalyst for employees to engage in resource creation behavior, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the implications of JI as an independent variable for both scholars and businesses.

Background and objectives: Heart failure (HF) is a disease with numerous genetic and environmental factors that affect it. The results of previous studies indicated that immune phenotypes are associated with HF, but there have been inconclusive studies regarding a causal relationship. Therefore, Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were undertaken to confirm the causal connections between immune phenotypes and HF, providing genetic evidence supporting the association of immune cell factors with HF risk. Methods: We selected instrumental variables that met the criteria based on data from the results of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of immune phenotype and all-cause HF. An evaluation of the causal association between 731 immune cell factors and HF risk was carried out using the inverse variance weighted (IVW), MR-Egger regression (MR-Egger), and weighted median (WM) analysis methods. To determine the horizontal pleiotropy, heterogeneity, and stability of the genetic variants, the MR-Egger intercept test, Cochran's Q test, MR-PRESSO, and leave-one-out sensitivity analysis were performed. Results: MR principal method (IVW) analysis showed that a total of 38 immune cell-related factors were significantly causally associated with HF. Further analyses combining three methods (IVW, MR-Egger and WME) showed that six exposure factors significantly associated with heart failure, as shown below. The effect of Dendritic cell Absolute Count, CD62l- CD86+ myeloid Dendritic cell Absolute Count, CD62l- CD86+ myeloid Dendritic cell% Dendritic cell, CD39+ CD8+ T cell% CD8+ T cell, CD3 on Central Memory CD4+ T cell on heart failure was positive. Whereas, a reverse effect was observed for CD14+ CD16+ monocyte% monocyte. Conclusion: We investigated the causal relationship between immune phenotypes and all-cause HF. According to the results, Dendritic cell Absolute Count, CD62l- CD86+ myeloid Dendritic cell Absolute Count, CD62l- CD86+ myeloid Dendritic cell% Dendritic cell, CD39+ CD8+ T cell% CD8+ T cell, CD3 on Central Memory CD4+ T cell aggravate HF, and the risk of HF is decreased by CD14+ CD16+ monocyte% monocyte. These phenotypes may serve as new biomarkers, providing new therapeutic insights for the prevention and treatment of all-cause HF.

BACKGROUND: The proposed trial is to examine the feasibility of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT)-guided cytoreduction plus apalutamide and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for newly diagnosed metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) at oligometastatic state. METHODS: CHAMPION (NCT05717582) is an open-label, single-arm, phase II trial, planning to enroll newly diagnosed mHSPC cases with oligometastases (≤ 10 distant metastatic sites in conventional imaging). Patients will receive 6 cycles of apalutamide plus ADT. Patients with oligometastatic disease at PSMA PET/CT after 3 treatment cycles will receive cytoreductive radical prostatectomy. PSMA PET/CT-guided metastasis-directed external radiation therapy will be determined by the investigators. Apalutamide plus ADT will be continued for 2 weeks postoperatively. The primary endpoint is the proportion of patients with undetectable prostate-specific antigen (PSA), no disease progression, and no symptom deterioration after 6 cycles of apalutamide plus ADT. Secondary endpoints include the percentage of patients with PSA ≤ 0.2 ng/mL and oligometastases by the end of 3 treatment cycles, PSA response rate, and safety. Fleming's two-stage group sequential design will be adopted in the study, where the null hypothesis is that the rate of patients with an undetectable PSA is ≤ 40% after 6 cycles of treatment, while the alternate hypothesis is an undetectable PSA of > 60%; with one-sided α = 0.05, power = 0.80, and an assumed dropout rate of 10%, the required number of patients for an effective analysis is 47. Enrolment in the study commenced in May 2023. DISCUSSION: The multi-modal therapy based on treatment response may improve the prognosis of newly diagnosed mHSPC patients with oligometastases. TRIAL REGISTRATION: The study is registered with Clinical Trials.Gov (NCT05717582). Registered on 8th February 2023.

Electrochemical water splitting is a possible way of realizing sustainable and clean hydrogen production but is challenging, because a highly active and durable electrocatalyst is essential. In this work, we integrated heterogeneous engineering and vacancy defect strategies to design and fabricate a heterostructure electrocatalyst (CoPv-MoxPv/CNT) with abundant phosphorus vacancies attached to carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The vacancy defects enabled the optimization of the electronic structure; thereby, the electron-rich low-valent metal sites enhanced the ability of nonmetallic P to capture proton H. Meanwhile, the heterogeneous interface between bimetallic phosphides and CNTs realized rapid electron transfer. In addition, the Co, Mo, and P active species in the electrocatalytic process exposed increased amounts of active sites featuring porous nanosheet structures, which facilitated the adsorption of reaction intermediates and thus enhanced the hydrogen evolution reaction performance. In particular, the optimized CoPv-MoxPv/CNT catalyst possesses an overpotential of 138 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2 and long-term stability for 24 h. This work offers insights and possibilities for the engineering and exploration of transition metal-based electrocatalysts through combining multiple synergistic strategies.

Oxazolidinones are potent antimicrobial agents used to treat human infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria. The growing resistance to oxazolidinones poses a significant threat to public health. In August 2021, a linezolid-resistant Enterococcus faecium BN83 was isolated from a raw milk sample of cow in Inner Mongolia, China. This isolate exhibited a multidrug resistance phenotype and was resistant to most of drugs tested including linezolid and tedizolid. PCR detection showed that two mobile oxazolidinones resistance genes, optrA and poxtA, were present in this isolate. Whole genome sequencing analysis revealed that the genes optrA and poxtA were located on two different plasmids, designated as pBN83-1 and pBN83-2, belonging to RepA_N and Inc18 families respectively. Genetic context analysis suggested that optrA gene on plasmid pBN83-1 was located in transposon Tn6261 initially found in E. faecalis. Comprehensive analysis revealed that Tn6261 act as an important horizontal transmission vector for the spread of optrA in E. faecium. Additionally, poxtA-bearing pBN83-2 displayed high similarity to numerous plasmids from Enterococcus of different origin and pBN83-2-like plasmid represented a key mobile genetic element involved in movement of poxtA in enterococcal species. The presence of optrA- and poxtA-carrying E. faecium in raw bovine milk represents a public health concern and active surveillance is urgently warranted to investigate the prevalence of oxazolidinone resistance genes in animal-derived food products.

Pertussis is a vaccine-preventable infectious disease; however, data on pertussis antibody levels in a nationwide population are still limited in China. We aimed to pool the seropositivity rates of IgG antibodies against pertussis toxin (PT-IgG) across the country. We systematically searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database for studies published between January 1, 2010, and June 30, 2023. Studies reporting the seroprevalence of PT-IgG among a healthy Chinese population were included. Pooled estimates were obtained using random-effects meta-analyzes. The meta-analysis included 39 studies (47,778 participants) reporting anti-PT IgG seropositivity rates. The pooled rate for all ages was 7.06% (95% CI, 5.50%-9.07%). Subgroup analyzes showed rates ranging from 6.36% to 12.50% across different age groups. This meta-analysis indicated a low anti-PT IgG seropositivity rate in the Chinese population, particularly among school-aged children and young adults. This finding underscores the urgent need to refine immunization strategies.

Construction of multi-component heterostructures is an effective strategy for electrocatalysts to improve both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) at the cathode and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity at the anode. Herein, an efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst towards overall water/seawater splitting (OW/SS) is reported with strategy of heterostructure construction (ruthenium/nickel phosphorus) on nickel hydroxide (Ni(OH)2). With the unique hydrolysis layer (Ni(OH)2), the processes of H2O hydrolysis and the adsorption/desorption of H*/O-containing intermediates (OH, O, OOH) were greatly boosted by Ru and P sites, which acted as the catalytic active centers of OER and HER, respectively. In addition, the electronic structure reconfiguration was realized through the strong interaction between multi-interfaces. For alkaline HER at the current density of 10 mA cm-2, the overpotential of Ru-P-Ni(OH)2/NF (denoted as RNPOH/NF) was 98 mV, whereas just 230 mV of overpotential was essential to stimulate alkaline OER at the current density of 20 mA cm-2. Specifically, as a bifunctional electrocatalyst towards overall water splitting, RNPOH/NF deserves cell voltages of 1.7/1.92 V and 1.75/1.94 V, respectively, to activate current densities of 50/100 mA cm-2 in alkaline water/seawater systems, together with a good durability of 12 h. This work contributes insights to the development of bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water/seawater splitting.

BACKGROUND: A growing number of studies have shown that in addition to adaptive immune cells such as CD8 + T cells and CD4 + T cells, various other cellular components within prostate cancer (PCa) tumor microenvironment (TME), mainly tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), have been increasingly recognized as important modulators of tumor progression and promising therapeutic targets. OBJECTIVE: In this review, we aim to delineate the mechanisms by which TAMs, CAFs and MDSCs interact with PCa cells in the TME, summarize the therapeutic advancements targeting these cells and discuss potential new therapeutic avenues. METHODS: We searched PubMed for relevant studies published through December 10 2023 on TAMs, CAFs and MDSCs in PCa. RESULTS: TAMs, CAFs and MDSCs play a critical role in the tumorigenesis, progression, and metastasis of PCa. Moreover, they substantially mediate therapeutic resistance against conventional treatments including anti-androgen therapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Therapeutic interventions targeting these cellular components have demonstrated promising effects in preclinical models and several clinical trials for PCa, when administrated alone, or combined with other anti-cancer therapies. However, the lack of reliable biomarkers for patient selection and incomplete understanding of the mechanisms underlying the interactions between these cellular components and PCa cells hinder their clinical translation and utility. CONCLUSION: New therapeutic strategies targeting TAMs, CAFs, and MDSCs in PCa hold promising prospects. Future research endeavors should focus on a more comprehensive exploration of the specific mechanisms by which these cells contribute to PCa, aiming to identify additional drug targets and conduct more clinical trials to validate the safety and efficacy of these treatment strategies.
