RESUMO

Optimization of the process of enzymatic hydrolysis of keratin-containing stock aimed at obtaining hydrolysates of high biological value has been performed. The increasing of the stock/water weight ratio, the amount of the alkaline protease preparation from Acremonium chrysogenium added and the temperature of the reaction mixture resulted in an increase in the yield and antioxidant capacity of hydrolysis products. The molecular masses of soluble products obtained under optimal hydrolysis conditions ranged from 3.55 to 3.60 kDa. High antioxidant capacity, 100% bioavailability and a well-balanced amino acid composition was characteristic of the hydrolysis products.

RESUMO

The authors studied the results of operations for perforated gastric and duodenal ulcers performed from 1978 to 1987. During this period, 263 operations were carried out, the postoperative mortality was 11%. The late results were studied in 137 patients in follow-up periods of 12 months to 11 years. Decrease in the postoperative mortality rates depends on timely hospitalization of the patient and adequate performance of the operation. Closure of the ulcer with sutures is expedient in young patients who have no clinical manifestations of the disease (silent ulcer). In individuals with recurrent ulcers, the subsequent therapeutic policy must be more active, that is planned surgical treatment.

RESUMO

Material is presented on combined effects of mm-band radio waves and cyclophosphane on the hemopoietic system and inoculated tumor sarcoma-180. The role of the bone marrow truncal cells in the acceleration of regenerative processes and a two-fold increase of clonogenic activity of the bone marrow were determined in the combined group in comparison with the bone marrow of animals receiving just the preparation. The sensitizing effect of mm-waves in combination with cyclophosphane was distinctly manifested after two courses of administration of the preparation, leading to 85-100% resorption of the tumours without further relapses during the year of observation over the animals.
