RESUMO

The prognosis for pancreatic cancer is extremely poor. To improve the prognosis of pancreatic cancer, it is urgently needed to improve early detection to advance treatment. And basically, it is also necessary to emphasise basic research to find novel therapies. By promoting the disease-centered multidisciplinary team model, researchers should achieve high-quality closed-loop process management of the entire life cycle which consists of prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up, with the objective of establishing a standard clinical process to improve the outcome in essence. This article summarized the progress of pancreatic cancer at different stages of the whole cycle management recently and shared the experience of pancreatic cancer treatment from the author's team in the past ten years.

RESUMO

Objective: To understand the current status of rare disease related health information release in WeChat official accounts in China. Methods: We used a series of key words containing "rare diseases" and the names of the top 30 rare diseases in hospitalizations in China to search WeChat official accounts. Eligible articles were selected by systematic sampling. All including WeChat official accounts and articles were evaluated to extract the basic information. Results: No relevant WeChat official accounts were found for 14 rare diseases (46.67%). Most of the WeChat official accounts (52.17%) were initiated by patients and patient groups. No significant difference was detected in the total number of articles between the official accounts related with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and non-TCM related ones, however, the frequency of the monthly information release was significantly higher in TCM related official accounts (P<0.001), while the average reading number of articles was significantly higher in non-TCM related official accounts (P<0.001). Nearly 80% of the WeChat official accounts had navigation menu, and the average reading number of official accounts with menus was larger than those without menus. The top three topics were rare disease diagnosis and treatment knowledge (46.00%), public welfare activity for rare diseases (12.81%) and uncorrelated things (8.65%), while the first three leading topics were cutting-edge information, public welfare activity and patient story, respectively. Conclusions: The scale for rare disease related health information release based on WeChat official accounts in China has been basically formed, but it is still in development stage. Many improvements should be made in their coverage of rare diseases, release frequency, topic and form. It is urgent to establish or recreate some high-quality WeChat official accounts in order to provide precise information and effectively facilitate the prevention and treatment of rare diseases.

RESUMO

Transition metal (TM) doped II-VI semiconductors have attracted great attention due to their luminescence and diluted magnetism. In this study, the Fe3+-doped ZnSe nanobelts (NBs) were grown by a facile CVD method. The surface morphology observed via SEM is smooth and clean and the elemental composition measured via EDS confirms that the Fe3+ ions were incorporated into ZnSe NBs successfully. The micro-Raman scattering spectra demonstrate that the as-prepared NBs have the zinc blende structure. Furthermore, the Raman spectra of the Fe3+-doped NBs were compared with those of pure and Fe2+-doped reference samples. The former with a higher signal-to-noise ratio, an enhanced 2LO mode, a stronger LO mode redshift and a larger intensity ratio of LO/TO mode as well as the lower acoustic phonon modes confirms the better crystallization and the stronger electron-phonon coupling on Fe3+-incorporation. The emission of single Fe3+ ion, assigned to the 4T1 → 6A1 transition, was observed at about 570 nm. Moreover, increasing the doping concentration of Fe3+ ions caused the formation of different Fe-Fe coupled pairs in the lattice, which emitted light at about 530-555 nm for an antiferromagnetic-coupled pair, possibly due to the stacking faults and at about 620-670 nm for a ferromagnetic-coupled pair.

RESUMO

The Anyi tile-like gray chicken is a Chinese indigenous breed with a gray dilution phenotype, having gray feathers, comb, skin, shanks, and beak, which is valuable for genetic research on pigmentation. However, the genetic basis of the gray dilution phenotype remains unknown. The objective of this study was to investigate the genetic basis of the gray dilution phenotype in the Anyi tile-like gray chicken. We found that all Anyi tile-like gray chickens tested in this study carried at least one E allele, which is responsible for the appearance of black feathers, and some of them carried the FM allele, which is responsible for the black skin phenotype. A single nucleotide polymorphism (C.1909A>G) was identified within the melanophilin (MLPH) gene and was significantly associated with the gray dilution phenotype. Our findings suggest that the E and FM alleles act together to cause the development of the "five-black" phenotype (black feather, comb, skin, shank, and beak), whereas the MLPH mutation results in defective melanosome transport, leading to the development of the "five-gray" phenotype.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relation between alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) and prognosis. METHODS: We measured the alkaline phosphatase in gingival crevicular fluid among 56 cases of implant tooth which included 2 failed cases, 5 cases in bad oral hygiene and with gingivitis, compared with the normal group consisted of 10 healthy persons. RESULTS: The difference of ALP level between normal group and success implant group is not significant, but between normal group and success with gingivitis group is significant(P < 0.05). The ALP level of 2 failed cases are highest (because of few failed cases, no statistics was done). CONCLUSIONS: The ALP level in GCF is supposed to be an important index in evaluating the result of the implant.
