RESUMO

SiO2 nanoparticles (50 nm in diameter) coated with poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMA) were synthesized by radical polymerization. The SiO2/PEGMA nanocomposites were characterised using FITR, 1HNMR and TGA methods. The load of PEGMA in SiO2/PEGMA nanocomposites was 72.9 wt%. The hydration products, microstructure, pore structure, density, compressive strengths and rheological properties of cement were investigated. The SiO2/PEGMA nanocomposite could not only significantly improve the cement hydration and densify the microstructure by reducing the content of calcium hydroxide and promoting the production of calcium silicate hydrate, but also efficiently enhance the fluidity of the cement slurry. The compressive strength of cement with 2 wt% SiO2/PEGMA nanocomposites was increased by 40.1% curing for 28 days, which was much better than cement with the physical blending of SiO2 nanoparticles and superplasticizers. The SiO2/PEGMA nanocomposites with core-shell structure novelly combine the advantages of SiO2 nanoparticles and superplasticizers to significantly improve the performance of cement pastes. The results obtained provide a new understanding of the effect of the core-shell nanocomposites on cement pastes and demonstrate the potential of the nanocomposites for well cementing applications.

A new method for measuring the time-dependent drive flux at the hohlraum center is proposed as a better alternative to conventional wall-based techniques. The drive flux here is obtained by simultaneous measurement of the reemitted flux and shock velocity from a three-layered "cakelike" sample. With these two independent observables, the influence induced by the uncertainty of the material parameters of the sample can be effectively decreased. The influence from the closure of the laser entrance hole, which was the main challenge in conventional wall-based techniques, was avoided through localized reemitted flux measurement, facilitating drive flux measurement throughout the entire time history. These studies pave a new way for probing the time-dependent drive flux, for both cylindrical hohlraums and novel hohlraums with six laser entrance holes.

SCOPE: High-fat-diet (HFD) is an important factor in obesity. Extracellular matrix (ECM) regulates white adipose tissue (WAT), but its mechanism is unknown. METHODS AND RESULTS: This study uses three models-HFD-fed mice, human with obesity, and 3T3-L1 adipocytes with oleic acid (OA)/macromolecular crowders (MMC) treatment. Glucose and lipids metabolic disorders, increased collagen I/IV and laminin α2/4 (LAMA2/4), and upregulated integrins (ITGA1/ITGA7) - focal adhesion kinase (FAK) - c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/extracellular regulated protein kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) signals in obese WAT from mice and human are observed. The upregulation of ECM - integrin - FAK signals is stronger in subcutaneous WAT than that in visceral WAT of mice, but these results are reversed in human. In vitro, oleic acid (OA) promotes lipid accumulation and upregulates collagen IV, LAMA4, and p-JNK. MMC is used to induce ECM deposition in adipocytes. MMC promotes adipocyte differentiation and integrins - FAK - JNK/ERK1/2 signals. When FAK phosphorylation is inhibited, downstream p-JNK is decreased. Inhibition of FAK phosphorylation reduces adipocyte differentiation, but MMC partially reverses this effect. CONCLUSION: HFD-induced ECM deposition, whose signals are transmitted into adipocytes through upregulating ITGA1/ITGA7, activates the phosphorylation of intracellular FAK - JNK/ERK1/2 signals, and promotes adipogenesis in WAT. This mechanism provides novel therapeutic targets to treat obesity.

Plant-based meat analogues (PBMA) are promising foods to address the global imbalance between the supply and demand for meat products caused by the increasing environmental pressures and growing human population. Given that the flavor of PBMA plays a crucial role in consumer acceptance, imparting meat-like flavor is of great significance. As a natural approach to generate meat-like flavor, the Maillard reaction involving food-derived peptides could contribute to the required flavor compounds, which has promising applications in PBMA formulations. In this review, the precursors of meat-like flavor are summarized followed by a discussion of the reactions and mechanisms responsible for generation of the flavor compounds. The preparation and analysis techniques for food-derived Maillard reacted peptides (MRPs) as well as their taste and aroma properties are discussed. In addition, the MRPs as meat flavor precursors and their potential application in the formulation of PBMA are also discussed. The present review provides a fundamental scientific information useful for the production and application of MRPs as meat flavor precursors in PBMA.

RESUMO

Developing the multi-functional membranes including oil/water emulsion separation and removal of hazardous organic pollutants is essential to the purification of the complicated wastewater. However, it remains a daunting challenge to combine these intended functions while maintaining high separation efficiency. Herein, we developed a new 2D lamellar MXene/poly (arylene ether nitrile) (PEN) fibrous composite membrane through the self-assembly of TiO2 nanoparticles intercalated MXene nanosheets onto the porous PEN nanofibrous mats and bioinspired polydopamine triggered chemical-crosslinking with polyethyleneimine (PEI). Such nano-intercalation and mussel-inspired crosslinking could effectively regulate the interlayer spacing of the MXene nanosheet skin layer and surface wettability of the composite membrane, which also further contributed to the fast separation and unique bifunctional feature. It was found that the MXene@TiO2/PEN fibrous composite membrane exhibited low oil-adhesion and superhydrophilic (WCA = 0°)/underwater superoleophobic (UOCA > 155°) properties, which could efficiently separate various surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water emulsions under low pressure of 0.04 MPa while keeping good stability (Under 1 M HCl and 2 M NaOH solutions) and recyclability. Interestingly, the fibrous composite membrane achieved favorable permeation flux of 908-1003 Lm-2h-1 (2270-2507.5 Lm-2h-1bar-1) in comparison to other reported MXene based multifunctional composite membranes. Moreover, owing to the synergistic effect of MXene nanosheets and TiO2 nanoparticles, the MXene@TiO2/PEN membrane showed excellent photocatalytic degradation performance for various dyes under visible light, i.e. the photocatalytic degradation efficiency for 15 ppm MB, MO, CV, and MeB solutions achieved 92.31%, 93.50%, 98.06%, and 99.30% within 60 min, respectively. Such 2D MXene bio-functional composite membranes with outstanding oil/water emulsions separation and photocatalytic degradation of dyes pave an avenue for treating complicated oily wastewater.

Lung cancer is the most common type of cancer with the highest mortality rate worldwide. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for ~85% of the total number of lung cancer cases. In the past two decades, immunotherapy has become a more promising treatment method than traditional treatments (surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy). Immunotherapy has been shown to improve the survival rate of patients and to have a superior effect when controlling lung cancer than traditional therapy. However, only a small number of patients can benefit from immunotherapy, and not all patients who qualify experience long-term benefits. In the clinic, the objective response rate of programmed cell death protein 1 treatment without the prior screening of patients is only 15-20%. Immunotherapy is associated with both opportunities and challenges for patients with NSCLC. The current challenges of immunotherapy include the lack of accurate biomarkers, inevitable resistance and insufficient understanding of immune checkpoints. In previous years, several methods for overcoming the challenges posed by immunotherapy have been proposed, but combination therapy is the most suitable choice. A large number of studies have shown that the combination of drugs can significantly improve their efficacy, compared with monotherapy, and that some therapeutic combinations have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of NSCLC. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a traditional medical practice in China that can play an important role in immunotherapy. Most agents used in TCM originate from plants, and have the advantages of low toxicity and multiple targets. In addition, TCM includes a unique class of drugs that can improve autoimmunity. Therefore, TCM may be a promising treatment method for all types of cancer.

Currently, conventional methods of treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have many disadvantages. An alternative effective therapy with minimal adverse reactions is urgently needed. Weijing decoction (WJD), which is a classic ancient Chinese herbal prescription, has been used successfully to treat pulmonary system diseases containing lung cancer in the clinic. However, the key active component and target of Weijing decoction are still unexplored. Therefore, for the first time, our study aims to investigate the pharmacological treatment mechanism of Weijing decoction in treating NSCLC via an integrated model of network pharmacology, metabolomics and biological methods. Network pharmacology results conjectured that Tricin is a main bioactive component in this formula which targets PRKCA to suppress cancer cell growth. Metabolomics analysis demonstrated that sphingosine-1-phosphate, which is regulated by sphingosine kinase 1 and sphingosine kinase 2, is a differential metabolite in plasma between the WJD-treated group and the control group, participating in the sphingolipid signaling. In vitro experiments demonstrated that Tricin had vital effects on the proliferation, pro-apoptosis, migration and colony formation of Lewis lung carcinoma cells. Through a series of validation assays, Tricin inhibited the tumor growth mainly by suppressing PRKCA/SPHK/S1P signaling and antiapoptotic signaling. On the other hand, Weijing formula could inhibit the tumor growth and prolong the survival time. A high dosage of Tricin was much more potent in animal experiments. In conclusion, we confirmed that Weijing formula and its primary active compound Tricin are promising alternative treatments for NSCLC patients.

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the effect of cataract surgery on vision-related quality of life (VR-QOL) in cataract patients with high myopia (HM). METHODS: In this prospective study, 90 patients with bilateral HM (HM group, mean [SD] age, 62.9 [9.7] years) and 90 age-matched patients with normal axial lengths (ALs) (control group) who underwent phacoemulsification surgery were consecutively included. The VR-QOL was evaluated using the 25-item National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI-VFQ-25) preoperatively and 6 months postoperatively. During the same periods, the best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was recorded. RESULTS: Postoperatively, the BCVA improved significantly in the HM group, with 78 patients (86.7%) achieving improvements ≥0.2 logMAR units, higher than that in the control group (61.1%, P < 0.001). Although the preoperative NEI-VFQ-25 composite score was lower in the HM group than in the control group (65.8 ± 4.7 [95% CI] versus 77.3 ± 3.8, P < 0.001), the postoperative composite score was not significantly different between the two groups (87.5 ± 2.6 versus 90.4 ± 1.6, P = 0.126); changes in composite score and scores of 7 subscales were greater in the HM group than in the control group (P < 0.05 for all). In the HM group, but not in the control group (r = -0.019, P = 0.860), patient age was negatively associated with the change in composite score (r = -0.235, P = 0.026). Preoperative BCVA (logMAR) was positively associated with changes in composite score for both groups (r = 0.796 and 0.714, respectively, P < 0.001 for both). CONCLUSIONS: VR-QOL is significantly impaired in cataract patients with HM and is remarkably improved by cataract surgery. The improvement is greater than that in normal AL cases.

Ursolic acid (UA) shows an effect on obesity and related metabolic diseases, but its mechanism of action remains unclear. We found that UA clearly reduced the body weight and adipose tissue mass and improved the glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in obese male mice. UA treatment significantly reduced the volume and weights of the epididymal white adipose tissue (eWAT) and inguinal subcutaneous white adipose tissue (igSWAT) of HFD-fed mice, respectively. UA also decreased the expression of genes involved in adipocyte differentiation and lipogenesis in igSWAT. Real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry showed that the expression of beiging-related genes 4-1BB factor (CD137), T-box transcription factor 1 (TBX1), and transmembrane protein 26 (TMEM26) were significantly increased in the UA treatment group. UA treatment significantly reduced the weight of gastrocnemius muscle (GM) and lipid droplets in the GM. UA treatment significantly upregulated the expression of PR domain-containing 16 (PRDM16), peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator-1 alpha (PGC-1α), and fibronectin type 3 domain-containing protein 5 (FNDC5) in GM and igSWAT. UA also stimulated irisin secretion in the serum. In conclusion, these results indicate that UA plays an anti-obesogenic role by increasing the secretion of irisin and promoting the beiging of WAT.

RESUMO

The provisional prosthesis is a prerequisite for prosthodontic rehabilitation. The purpose of this technique was to register facial and intraoral scans predictably. A 3D virtual patient was created through facial scans, intraoral scans, digital face-bow transfer, and digital cross-articulation technique. This virtual patient allowed predictable positioning of intraoral scans to a virtual articulator by using digital face-bow transfer. The resulting virtual patient facilitated the design of definitive prostheses following a facially generated treatment planning principle. In addition, the virtual articulator was used to improve occlusal design on the definitive prostheses and reduce the need for intraoral adjustment.

BACKGROUND: High myopia and cataracts are major causes of blindness in East and Southeast Asia. Corneal astigmatism is a major contributor to uncorrected poor vision after cataract surgery in patients with high myopia. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the demographic characteristics and distribution of preoperative corneal astigmatism in Chinese cataract surgery candidates with high myopia. METHODS: Swept-source optical coherence tomography-based optical biometry was performed preoperatively in consecutive cataract surgery candidates who were classified by axial length (AL) into a high myopia group (defined as AL ≥26.0 mm) and a control group (normal ALs). The demographics, ALs, and keratometry values were recorded. RESULTS: Among 15,063 cataract surgery candidates (15,063 eyes), 1,921 patients (12.8%, 1,921 eyes) in the high myopia group and 11,880 patients (11,880 eyes) in the control group were enrolled. In the high myopia group, the mean age was 59.8±12.6 (standard deviation) years, which was younger than that in the control group (69.1±11.0 years, P<0.001). In the high myopia group, the mean corneal astigmatism was 1.20±0.83 dioptre (D), which was greater than that in the control group (0.93±0.69 D, P<0.001). In the high myopia group, 82.2% had corneal astigmatism ≥0.50 D, 51.4% ≥1.00 D, 27.4% ≥1.50 D and 14.4% ≥2.00 D, all of which were higher than the respective proportions in the control group (P<0.001 for all). In the high myopia group, 66.8% had moderate to high corneal astigmatism, and 42.8% had "with-the-rule" astigmatism, and both of these proportions were higher than the respective proportions in the control group (P<0.001 for both). In the high myopia group, corneal astigmatism tended to increase with increasing age (r =0.134, P<0.001) after the age of 50, which was consistent with the tendency in the control group. CONCLUSIONS: A significant burden of preoperative corneal astigmatism was observed in Chinese cataract surgery candidates with high myopia. Moderate to high corneal astigmatism was more common in highly myopic eyes than in normal AL eyes.

BACKGROUND: The hypertriglyceridemic waist (HTGW) phenotype has been proposed to be related to the occurrence and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The ageing trend of the Chinese population continues to intensify, and elderly individuals are at high risk of CKD. The purpose of this study was to investigate the cross-sectional and longitudinal associations between the HTGW phenotype and the risk of CKD by following community-dwelling adults aged 60 years and older in Tianjin, China, for 7 years. METHODS: This study was an observational cohort study conducted between 2013 and 2019. Of 2050 participants aged 60 years and older who underwent an annual health examination in 2013, 1605 individuals with complete data were enrolled in the cross-sectional analysis. Among them, 1271 individuals were observed until 2019. Detailed follow-up records were available for 816 participants, of whom 600 participants without CKD at baseline were eligible for inclusion in the retrospective analysis. The HTGW phenotype was defined as a waist circumference of 90 cm or more and triglyceride concentrations of 2.0 mmol/L or more in males or a waist circumference of 85 cm or more and triglyceride concentrations of 1.5 mmol/L or more in females. CKD was defined as an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 60 mL/min/1.73m2 and/or proteinuria (urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR) ≥ 30 mg/g). Multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the relationship between the HTGW phenotype and CKD. RESULTS: In 2013, the prevalence of CKD among older adults was 31.03%, and the prevalence of CKD in the HTGW phenotype group was 37.81%. Over a 7-year observation period, 195 individuals developed CKD, with an incidence rate of 32.50%. Statistically significant associations were observed between the HTGW phenotype and CKD in older adults in both cross-sectional surveys and retrospective analyses, with odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals of 1.38 (95% CI: 1.03-1.86, P = 0.033) and 2.27 (95% CI: 1.30-3.97, P = 0.004), respectively, after adjustment for confounders. CONCLUSIONS: In this community-based cohort study, the HTGW phenotype was confirmed to be independently associated with an increased risk of prevalent and incident CKD in older adults aged 60 years and above in Tianjin, China.

CD4+ CD8+ double-positive thymocytes give rise to both conventional TCRαß+ T cells and invariant natural killer T cells (iNKT cells), but these two kinds of cells display different characteristics. The molecular mechanism underlying iNKT cell lineage development and function acquisition remain to be elucidated. We show that the loss of chromatin assembly factor 1B (CHAF1b) maintains the normal development of conventional TCRαß+ T cells but severely impairs early development of iNKT cells. This dysregulation is accompanied by the impairment in chromatin activation and gene transcription at Vα14-Jα18 locus. Notably, ectopic expression of a Vα14-Jα18 TCR rescues Chaf1b-deficient iNKT cell developmental defects. Moreover, cytokine secretion and antitumor activity are substantially maintained in Vα14-Jα18 TCR transgene-rescued Chaf1b-deficient iNKT cells. Our study identifies CHAF1b as a critical factor that controls the early development but not function acquisition of iNKT cells via lineage- and stage-specific regulation.

RESUMO

A base-promoted (4 + 2) cyclization of aza-o-quinone methides (aza-o-QMs) in situ generated from N-(o-chloromethyl)aryl amides was established. In this approach, azlactones were utilized as competent two-atom reaction partners to undergo (4 + 2) cyclization with aza-o-QMs, which afforded a series of dihydroquinolinone derivatives in overall good yields (up to 98%). This protocol has not only advanced the development of aza-o-QM-involved reactions, but also offered a useful method for constructing biologically important dihydroquinolinone frameworks.

With the discovery of magnetoreceptor mechanisms in animals, it materialized the novel applications of controlling cell and animal behaviors using magnetic fields. T cells have shown to be sensitive to magnetic fields. Here, we reported that exposure to moderate SMFs (static magnetic fields) led to increased granule and cytokine secretion as well as ATP production and mitochondrial respiration from CD8+ T cells. These effects were inhibited by knocking down the Uqcrb and Ndufs6 genes of mitochondrial respiratory chain, whose transcriptions were regulated by candidate magnetoreceptor genes Isca1 and Cry1/Cry2. SMF exposure also promoted CD8+ T cell granule and cytokine secretion and repressed tumor growth in vivo. SMFs enhanced CD8+ T cell cytotoxicity, and the adoptive transfer into tumor-bearing mice resulted in enhanced antitumor effects. Collectively, our study suggests that moderate SMFs enhance CD8+ T cell cytotoxicity by promoting mitochondrial respiration and promoted the antitumor function of CD8+ T cells.

RESUMO

The development of minimally invasive surgery has created a demand for ideal medical adhesives exhibiting biocompatibility, biodegradability, antimicrobial activity, and strong adhesion to tissues in wet environments. However, as clinically approved surgical tissue glues suffer from poor adhesion activation, limited adhesion strength, and toxicity, novel tissue glues are highly sought after. Herein, a mussel-inspired injectable hydrogel was prepared from catechol- and methacrylate-modified chitosan/gelatin and shown to exhibit biocompatibility, inherent antimicrobial activity, and good adhesion to wet tissues. Moreover, as this gel could be applied onto tissue surfaces and cured in situ within seconds of body contact by a biocompatible and multifunctional redox initiator (H2O2-ascorbic acid), it was concluded to be a promising surgical sealant and wound dressing (even for infected wounds) accelerating wound healing.

The recombination activating gene (RAG or RAG1/RAG2 complex)-mediated adaptive immune system is a hallmark of jawed vertebrates. It has been reported that RAG originated in invertebrates. However, whether RAG further evolved once it arose in jawed vertebrates remains largely unknown. Here, we found that zebrafish RAG (zRAG) had a lower activity than mouse RAG (mRAG). Intriguingly, the attenuated stability of zebrafish RAG2 (zRAG2), but not zebrafish RAG1, caused the reduced V(D)J recombination efficiency compared to mRAG at 37 °C which are the body temperature of most endotherms except birds. Importantly, the lower temperature 28 °C, which is the best temperature for zebrafish growth, made the recombination efficiency of zRAG similar to that of mRAG by improving the stability of zRAG2. Consistent with the prementioned observation, the V(D)J recombination of Rag2KI/KI mice, which zRAG2 was substituted for mRAG2, was also severely impaired. Unexpectedly, Rag2KI/KI mice developed cachexia syndromes accompanied by premature death. Taken together, our findings illustrate that the evolution of zebrafish RAG2 protein is required for adapting to the elevated body temperature of the higher endothermic vertebrates.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the accuracy of modified Wang-Koch adjustment for intraocular lens power calculation in axial myopic eyes at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Guangzhou, China. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Consecutive cataract patients with axial lengths (ALs) over 25.0 mm were enrolled. The accuracies of SRK/T and Holladay 1 with modified Wang-Koch AL adjustment were compared with those calculated with optimized lens constants for long eyes and lens constants from the User Group for Laser Interference Biometry. They were also compared with Barrett Universal II (Barrett) and Haigis. The median absolute error (AE), mean absolute error (MAE) and proportions of eyes with a prediction error (PE) within ±0.25 diopter (D), ± 0.50 D and ± 1.00 D were determined. RESULTS: In total, 325 eyes from patients with a mean age of 58.62 ± 13.51 years and a mean preoperative AL of 27.65 ± 2.05 mm were included. For SRK/T, Wang-Koch adjustment did not increase the proportion of eyes within the given diopter of PE in any AL subgroup and led to worse outcomes for ALs between 27.0 mm and 30.0 mm (n = 129; P = .001) compared to the method of using measured AL and optimized constant. For Holladay 1, comparison of PEs within ±0.50 D favored AL adjusted eyes in all subgroups. Moreover, the median AE of Holladay 1 with Wang-Koch adjustment in eyes with ALs between 25.0 mm and 27.0 mm was lower than that of Barrett (n = 146; P = .02). CONCLUSIONS: The modified Wang-Koch adjustment had better performance than constant optimization for Holladay 1 but not for SRK/T. Holladay 1 with Wang-Koch adjustment was more accurate than Barrett for ALs between 25.0 mm and 27.0 mm.

Maternal smoking during pregnancy and lactation is associated with increased fat mass in the offspring, but the mechanism by which this occurs is not fully understood. Our study focused on the relationships among maternal nicotine exposure, adipose angiogenesis and adipose tissue function in female offspring. Pregnant rats were randomly assigned to nicotine or control groups. Microvascular density, lipid metabolism and α7nAChR-Egr1-FGF2 signaling pathway genes/proteins were tested in 4-, 12- and 26-week female offspring. In vitro, nicotine concentration- and time-response experiments were conducted in 3T3-L1. Lipid metabolism and α7nAChR-Egr1-FGF2 signaling pathway genes/proteins were tested. The conditioned media of differentiated 3T3-L1 treated with nicotine were used to observe tube formation in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Nicotine-exposed females presented higher adipose microvascular density. The gene expression of α7nAChR, Egr1 and FGF2 was significantly increased in gonadal white adipose tissue (gWAT) and inguinal subcutaneous WAT (igSWAT) of nicotine-exposed females at 4 weeks of age. The protein expression of α7nAChR, Egr1 and FGF2 was increased in gWAT and igSWAT of nicotine-exposed females at 4 weeks of age, and increased in gWAT at 26 weeks. In vitro, nicotine increased the expression of lipid metabolism and α7nAChR-Egr1-FGF2 signaling pathway genes/proteins in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. In the tube formation experiment, adipocytes affected by nicotine promoted HUVEC angiogenesis. Therefore, maternal nicotine exposure promoted the early angiogenesis of adipose tissue via the α7nAChR-Egr1-FGF2 signaling pathway, and this angiogenesis mechanism was associated with increased adipogenesis in adipose tissue of female offspring.

Conventional methods in treating non-small cell lung cancer contain surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and targeted therapy, which have various defects. Recently, with the deeper research on tumor immunity, immunotherapy has made the breakthrough in the treatment of cancers. Especially developments of programmed cell death-1/programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-1/PD-L1) inhibitors bring the therapy into a new stage. This review mainly focuses on introducing existing monoclonal antibodies containing nivolumab, pembrolizumab, atezolizumab, avelumab, and durvalumab, along with 3 ordinary biomarkers such as PD-L1 expression, tumor mutation burden, and microsatellite instability. By understanding the resistance mechanism of anti-PD-1/L1 blockade, research is further improving the survival benefit and expanding the benefit population. So, PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors begin to be combined with various therapeutic strategies clinically. Discussion and comparison of their effectiveness and safety are also comprehensively reviewed. Meanwhile, we explore the potential, the impact, and mechanisms of combining traditional Chinese medicine with immunotherapy.
