RESUMO
Este artigo destaca as principais características do nacisismo burguês presentes no romance Memórial póstumas de Brás Cubas, de Machado de Assis. Assoscia o conceito de nacisismo individual e coletivo, apresentado por Alexandre Lowen, a algumas caractéristicas esenciais da experiência burguesa oitocentista-tanto a europeia quanto a brasileira.Por fim, Promove uma reflexão sobre a influêcia que o nacisismo burguês do século XIX exerce na atual experiência burguesa do século XXI.(AU)
This paper highlights the main features of the bourgueois narcisism contained in the novel Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, by Machado de Assis. It associates the concept of individual and collective narcissism presented by Alexandre Lowen, to some essential features of the nineteenth-century bourgeois experience, both the European and the Brazilian ones. Finally, it promotes a reflection about the influence exerted by the nineteenth-century bougeois narcissism on the current twenty-first century bourgeois experience.(AU)
