Territory and Identity of Resistance in Young People from Catatumbo (Colombia), Builders of Imperfect Peaces / Territorio e identidad de resistencia en jóvenes del catatumbo (colombia), constructores de paces imperfectas

RESUMEN

RESUMEN Este artículo explora las nociones que tienen de su territorio los y las jóvenes del Catatumbo, explicando desde allí la configuración de una identidad de resistencia y la construcción de paces imperfectas. Es una investigación cualitativa en la que a través de la cartografía social, los árboles de problemas, la escritura creativa y el filminuto, 202 personas entre 10 y 26 años de cuatro municipios colombianos, identificaron los riesgos, pero también las oportunidades que les brinda la región -sistemáticamente afectada por el conflicto armado, la economía extractiva y los cultivos ilícitos- para construir su proyecto de vida desde lo identitario, la resiliencia y sus sueños, que siempre incluyen su pervivencia en el territorio. Se concluye que los y las jóvenes están ejerciendo un poder de manera no violenta para transformar su realidad, garantizar sus derechos y evitar su continua vulneración. Esperan tener mayor incidencia política y pública, no solo visibilizando su situación, sino transmitiendo este discurso a las nuevas generaciones con el interés en promocionar la paz.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT This article explores the notions that young people of Catatumbo have of their territory, using them to explain the configuration of an identity of resistance and construction of imperfect peaces. It is a research with a qualitative approach, in which, through social cartography, problem trees, and creative writing and filming, 202 people, between the ages of 10 and 26, from four Colombian municipalities, identified the risks, but also the opportunities, offered by their region -systematically affected by the armed conflict, extractive economy, and illicit crops-, to build their life project from identity, resilience, and their dreams, which always include their survival in the territory. It is concluded that young people are exercising power in a nonviolent way to transform their reality, guarantee their rights, and prevent their continued violation. They hope to have a greater political and public impact, not only by making their situation more visible, but also by transmitting this discourse to new generations with interests in promoting peace.
