RESUMO
Introdução:
O vírus da hepatite C (HCV) é um dos agentes etiológicos responsáveis pelas hepatites crônicas, e a hepatite C é a primeira causa de transplante hepático no mundo. Este estudo teve como objetivo verificar o perfil epidemiológico e clínico dos pacientes com hepatite C atendidos no ambulatório do Hospital Nereu Ramos em Florianópolis (SC).Métodos:
Foi realizado um estudo descritivo dos pacientes portadores do HCV em acompanhamento ambulatorial. As informações foram obtidas a partir de entrevista com pacientes em tratamento.Resultados:
Participaram do estudo 123 pacientes, 89 (72,4%) do sexo masculino. O genótipo mais comum foi o genótipo 1, e o vírus foi adquirido através de transfusão sanguínea em 29,3% e por uso de drogas em 22%. Dezessete (13,8%) pacientes apresentavam coinfecção pelo HIV. F2 e F3 da escala METAVIR foram os graus mais frequentes de fibrose. Dos 123 pacientes entrevista dos, 103 (83,7%) estavam iniciando o tratamento farmacológico.Conclusão:
O perfil epidemiológico e clínico dos pacientes com hepatite C crônica estudados é similar ao de outros serviços de saúde e concordantes com o perfil nacional de casos de infecção pelo HCV (AU)ABSTRACT
Introduction:
The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is one of the etiological agents responsible for hepatitis, and chronic hepatitis C is the leading cause of liver transplants in the world. This study aimed to determine the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients with hepatitis C treated at the Hospital Nereus Ramos in Florianópolis (SC).Methods:
A descriptive study of outpatients with HCV was performed. Information was obtained from interviews with patients in treatment.Results:
The study included 123 patients, 89 (72.4%) of whom males. The most common genotype was genotype 1, and the virus was acquired through blood transfusion in 29.3% and through drug use in 22% of the patients. Seventeen (13.8%) patients were co-infected with HIV. F2 and F3 of the Metavir scale were the most common degrees of fibrosis. Of the 123 patients interviewed, 103 (83.7%) were initiating pharmacological treatment.Conclusion:
