RESUMEN

Se presenta caso de varón de 24 años diagnosticado de poliquistosis renal autosómica dominante (PQRAD) con clínica de crisis quística derecha hemorrágica e infecciosa, y que desarrolló insuficiencia renal terminal requiriendo diálisis y posteriormente nefrectomía derecha y después nefrectomía izquierda con trasplante renal simultáneo. La indicación para realizar nefrectomía antes del trasplante en PQRAD se reserva para pacientes con antecedentes de quistes infectados, hemorragias frecuentes o aumento masivo del tamaño renal y el trasplante renal es el tratamiento de elección para la insuficiencia renal terminal. La realización en un mismo acto del trasplante renal y la nefrectomía no incrementa la morbilidad quirúrgica ni la supervivencia del injerto (AU)

ABSTRACT

A case report of 24 year old male diagnosed with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) with right cystic crisis clinic and infectious hemorrhagic, and development ESRD requiring dialysis and right nephrectomy and left nephrectomy after simultaneous kidney transplant. The indication for nephrectomy before transplantation in ADPKD is reserved for patients with a history of infected cysts, frequent bleeding or massive increase kidney size and renal transplantation is the treatment of choice for ESRD. The realization in a single act of renal transplantation and nephrectomy does not increase surgical morbidity or graft survival (AU)
