Tras una breve descripción de la fibromalgia, a través de varios ejemplos clínicos, se intenta determinar desde un punto de vista psicoanalítico qué tipo de personalidad o estructura psíquica presentan estos pacientes; la importancia de su capacidad de mentalización; las vicisitudes de su economía libidinal, y explorar las relaciones que puedan establecerse con el dolor, el masoquismo y la histeria (AU)

After a brief description of fibromyalgia, through several clinical examples, the author attempts to determine from a psychological point of view what type of personality or psychic structure these patients present; the importance of their mentalization capacity; the vicissitudes of their libidinal economy, and to explore the relations that may be established with pain, masochism and hysteria (AU)
