RESUMEN

Volviendo a hacer uso de su derecho a réplica, los autores Prado Abril, Sánchez Reales y Aldaz Armendáriz (2014) critican mi anterior artículo Carrobles (2013) en el que yo trataba de acercar posturas entre las dos figuras actualmente existentes la del Psicólogo Especialista en Psicología Clínica (PEPC) y la del Psicólogo General sanitario (PGS), tratando de integrarlas y justificando la necesidad de ambas dentro del actual sistema sanitario español. Pero estos psicólogos, en lugar de admitir mis razones y mis argumentos, han decidido adoptar una postura defensiva y beligerante contra la futura figura profesional del Psicólogo General Sanitario, atribuyéndole un sinfín de males imaginarios y absolutamente injustificados para el futuro de la profesión, principalmente para los PEPC que ellos representan. Por ello, en el presente artículo centro mi atención en tratar de desmontar su injustificada e irracional postura, más fruto de la inseguridad laboral y de los problemas de identidad profesional que ellos mismos parecen estar sufriendo, y que irracionalmente atribuyen a la amenaza futura que parecen percibir derivada de la consolidación de la figura del PGS para su propio estatus personal y corporativo. Insistiendo en mi postura clara y bien conocida sobre este tema, vuelvo a proporcionar nuevos argumentos y razones para convencer al colectivo de los psicólogos españoles en su totalidad, y no solo a los irreductibles PEPC, de la necesidad de luchar conjuntamente para el establecimiento definitivo de la Psicología Clínica y Sanitaria y de la mejora de su prestigio en España

ABSTRACT

Using the right of reply, authors Prado Abril, Sanchez Reales, and Aldaz Armendáriz (2014) criticize my previous article (Carrobles, 2013) in which I tried to bring together two existing figures the Psychologist Specialist of Clinical Psychology (PSCP) and the Sanitary General Psychologist (SGP), attempting to integrate them and justifying the necessity of both within the current SpanishHealth System. These authors reject my arguments, rather than refute them, and adopt a defensive and belligerent position against the future professional figure of the SGP. This new figure is attributed all kinds of problems and possible wrongdoings as regards the future of the profession, mainly of the PSCPs represented by the said authors. In the present article center my attention focuses on the dismantling of this unjustified position, which seems to be largely a result of job insecurity and problems of professional identity that they may be suffering but which they mistakenly attribute to the threat that they seem to perceive derived from the consolidation of the figure of the GSP for their own personal and corporative status. This article insisting on my clear and well well-known position on this subject and adds new arguments and reasons to convince Spanish psychologists as a whole, not just PSCPs, of the necessity to fight jointly for the definitive establishment of Clinical and Sanitary Psychology and the raising of its profile in Spain
