RESUMEN
La dieta juega un papel clave en el desarrollo de la migraña, pero hay escasez en guías que orienten a profesionales en la prevención de la patología con dietoterapia. Los nutrientes implicados en el transcurso de la migraña y que pueden desencadenar un ataque agudo son muy diversos. Niveles bajos de vitamina D pueden facilitar ataques de migraña. La ingesta de folatos y vitamina B12 reducen la frecuencia y la gravedad de los ataques de migraña. Un déficit de cobre, zinc y magnesio se ha asociado también con un aumento de los episodios de migraña. Un aumento en sangre de hierro, manganeso, plomo y cadmio pueden propiciar ataques de migraña. Existe una relación entre la disminución en el consumo de aminas biógenas y pacientes con migraña. También se ha relacionado la migraña tanto con una dieta alta en grasas o cetogénica como también con una dieta baja en grasas. Además, un consumo de alimentos que propician la liberación de Inmunoglobulinas G y su relación con la inflamación aumentan el número de ataques de migraña. El propósito de esta revisión es ofrecer recomendaciones dietéticas sobre nutrientes clave para prevenir los brotes de migraña o minimizarlos
ABSTRACT
Diet plays a key role in development of migraine, but there is not enough guidelines to guide professionals in the prevention of pathology with diet therapy. The nutrients involved in the course of migraine and that can trigger an acute attack are very diverse. Low levels of vitamin D can cause neuronal sensitization and facilitate migraine attacks. Intake of folate supplements and vitamin B12 reduces homocysteine levels and, consequently, the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. A deficit of copper, zinc and magnesium has also been seen with an increase in migraine episodes. An increase in blood above the normal iron, manganese, lead and cadmium can cause migraine attacks. There is a relationship between the decrease in the biogenic substances and patients with migraine. It has also been related to migration with a high-fat or ketogenic diet as well as a low-fat diet because the type of fat ingested can be decisive. In addition, to food intake that promotes the release of Immunoglobulins. Its relation to reduction increases the number of migraine attacks. The purpose of this review is to offer dietary recommendations on key nutrients to prevent or minimize migraine outbreaks
