Papéis ocupacionais de mulheres que fazem uso abusivo de substâncias psicoativas / Ocupacional roles of women who were abusing psychoactive substances

RESUMO

O uso de substâncias psicoativas é uma prática milenar e universal, não sendo, portanto, um fenômeno exclusivo daatualidade. A história do uso destas substâncias se mescla a própria história da humanidade; seu consumo sempre aconteceu ao longo dos tempos, em todas as religiões e culturas, com finalidades específicas. O individuo que faz uso abusivo de drogas tende aassumir a drogadição como atividade principal em seu cotidiano, negligenciando, na maioria das vezes, os papéis que realizava anteriormente. O objetivo deste estudo é descrever e analisar o impacto do uso de drogas nos papéis ocupacionais de mulheres que faziam uso abusivo de substâncias psicoativas. Estudo de natureza quantitativa em que foi utilizada a Lista de Identificação de Papéis Ocupacionais para coletar os dados. Os sujeitos dapesquisa constituíram-se de vinte e uma mulheres internadas em uma instituição para tratamento de mulheres com problemas relacionados ao abuso de drogas, no período de abril a maio de2011, quando se deu a coleta de dados. Aponta-se como dado relevante a alta percentagem de mulheres que abandonaram o exercício de papéis ocupacionais em decorrência do uso abusivo das SPA e, diante disso a importância da inserção do terapeutaocupacional nas equipes que compõem os serviços que atendem esta população...

ABSTRACT

The use of psychoactive substances is an ancient and universal practice, and therefore not being an exclusivephenomenon nowadays. The history of the use of these substances blends with the own history of mankind, its consumption has always happened throughout the ages, in all religions and cultures, with specifi c purposes. The individual who makes drug abuse tendsto take the drug addiction as main activity in their daily lives, neglecting, for the most part, the roles previously performed. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the impact of drug use in occupational roles of women who abuse of the psychoactive substances. It was a quantitative study in which we used the list of Occupational Identification Papers to collect the data. The study subjects consisted of twenty-one women admitted to an institutionfor treatment of women with problems related to drug abuse, in the period from April to May of 2011, when the data collection happened.
