Humanização como expressão de integralidade / Humanization as an expression of integrality

RESUMO

O artigo abre com a discussão da amplitude dos sentidos da integralidade em base conceitual. Na sequência, a humanização é caracterizada na forma expressa na literatura contemporânea. Entendidas a multiplicidade de sentidos de ambas, discute-se a relação entre elas, bem como a relação com a concepção saúde-doença que as encerram.Finalmente, as potenciais aproximações são discutidas e sugere-se que a humanização é uma expressão prática de construção de integralidade.

ABSTRACT

The article opens with the discussion of the amplitude of the senses of integrality in conceptual terms. In the sequence,humanization is characterized in the way defined in contemporary literature. Once the multiplicity of senses of both is understood, we discuss the relationship between them, as well as the relationship they have with the conception health--disease that are implied within them. Finally, their potential similarities are discussed and we suggest that humanizationis a practical expression of the construction of integrality.
