Some epidemiological characteristics of intracranial meningioma in Cho Ray Hospital

ABSTRACT

189 cases of intracranial meningioma were surveyed retrospectively concerning CT-scanning, biopsy and, in majority of cases, surgery. Results shown a female/male ratio of 2.4/1 (134 vs. 55), mean age ranged from 50 to 60, the elder than 50 made up 76%. The related factors are gender, hormone level, traumata, microorganisms, and receptors. Clinical symptoms depend on the size and the site of the tumor.
