[Influence of sociohygienic factors on the shaping of the nutritional status in children and teenagers].

There was revealed the structure of deteriorations in the nutritional status of schoolchildren in the city: the most of students has normal nutritional status, but there was noted the high prevalence of excessive body weight and obesity among children and teenagers. Risk factors for development of deteriorations of the nutrition state were detected as follows: irrational food regimen, qualitative compartment offood, factors of educational environment, lifestyle. The main role in system of control of the nutritional status in children is referred to the correction of socio-hygienic factors which prove to be the priority ones in the shaping of the nutritional status in students. As the main condition determining the nutrition state of the up-to-date schoolchildren and the quality of their life in the whole the social cultural level of children and adolescents must be regarded as a result of the hygienic education and training in fundamentals of healthy lifestyle. Priority protective factors of the gain in the part of schoolchildren with normal nutritional status (optimalfood regimen, optimal dietary habits, sufficient level of physical activity) laidfrom the child age in conditions of the family, sufficient level of the physical activity and the implementation of the other element of hygienically expedient day regimen served as the base for the elaboration of the system of the control of nutritional status. Algorithm of the control of the nutritional status in the students of educational institutions includes the creation of healthcare educational environment, optimization of nutrition and physical activity, the shaping of the culture of healthy lifestyle, health-improving measures for children with disorders of nutritional status and their psychological pedagogical supports at the stage of the correction of the nutritional status, improvement of the medical service for the early detection of deviations of nutritional status with the estimation of the efficiency of the system ofpreventive and health-improving measures.

[In vivo study of the protective action of the splenocytes from CBA strain mice immunized with an inactivated nonconcentrated rabies vaccine]. / Izuchenie in vivo zashchitnogo deistviia splenotsitov myshei linii CBA, immunizirovannykh inaktivirovannoi nekontsentrirovannoi antirabicheskoi vaktsinoi.

An inactivated unconcentrated rabies vaccine was demonstrated to induce the production of T-killers which in adoptive transfer protect 38-43% of recipients challenged intramuscularly with street rabies virus. The production of T-killers depends on the dose and schedule of the antigen inoculation. T-killers in vivo were strictly specific and manifested their protective effect only in syngeneic but not in allogeneic system.

[Electron microscopic and immunological study of influenza virus interaction with murine peritoneal microphages]. / Elektronno-mikroskopicheskoe i immunologicheskoe izuchenie vazaimodeistviia virusa grippa s peritoneal'nymi myshinymi mikrofagami.

Electron microscopic and immunological investigations of influenza virus HONI interactions with peritoneal macrophages of intact and immune mice were carried out. Both intact and immune macrophages exert phagocytosis and disintegration of virions in phagolysosomes as early as 10 and 30 min after the end of adsorption. This process is most active with eosinophils, less in neutrophils and the least in basophils. Titration of the infectious virus in chick embryos showed that immune macrophages contained considerably less virus than the intact ones.

[Course of influenza in cyclophosphane suppression of cellular and humeral immunity]. / Techenie grippoznoi infektsii v usloviiakh podavleniia kletochnogo i gumoral'nogo immuniteta tsiklofosfanom.

Under conditions of immunosuppression of B- and T-cell functions with cyclophosphane, experimental influenza in mice infected with A/Aichi/2/68 (H3N2) runs early in the infection a much milder course than in mice given no such treatment. The mortality among immunosuppressed mice was 5 times as low as in the controls; the virus could be isolated from the lung tissue earlier and in higher titres; cyclophosphane inhibited the synthesis of antibodies and nonspecific thermolabile and thermostable tissue and serum inhibitors. Hepatization of the lungs in immunosuppressed animals was considerably less marked. The effect of cyclophosphane appeared to depend on its antiinflammatory properties.

[Nonspecificity of the phenomenon of influenza virus phagocytosis by murine macrophages]. / O nespetsifichnosti fenomena fagotsitoza virusov grippa makrofagami myshei.

Peritoneal macrophage cultures from intact mice and those immune to influenza virus A/PR/8/34 (HON1) were infected with homologous virus or influenza virus A/England/42/72 (H3N2) whereupon virus was isolated from chick embryos. It was established that in intact macrophages, both viruses duplicated similarly. Macrophages immune to virus HON1 equally disintegrated both in homologous virus and heterologous influenza virus H3N2.

[Protective action of cytotoxic lymphocytes depending on the antigenic determinant composition of influenza virus hemagglutinin]. / Protektivnoe deistvie tsitotoksicheskikh limfotsitov v zavisimosti ot sostava antigennykh determinant gemaggliutinina virusa grippa.

The protective role of cytotoxic lymphocytes (CTL) in dependence on composition of antigenic determinants of hemagglutinin of influenza viruses H3N2 was studied. It was established that CTL do not exert protective effect under conditions of adoptive transfer, when there is one common antigenic determinant in hemagglutinins of the virus forming immunity. When all antigenic determinants in hemagglutinins of influenza viruses are identical, CTL-like antibodies represent one of the main factors of antivirus immunity.

[Thomsen's antigen in the leukocytes of leukemia patients]. / Antigen Tomsena v leikotsitakh bol'nykh leikozom.

Leukocytes of 19 leukemic patients and 10 healthy donors were tested for the presence of Thomsen's antigen, using a method of specific adsorption of isogenic sera. Before the adsorption the cells were sonicated. Thomsen's antigen was found in leukocytes of leukemic patients but not in cells of healthy donors.

A method of specific adsorption of appropriate antibodies from human serum was used to examine tumors of 15 patients with cancer and of 6 subjects with benign neoplasms. Tissues of cancerous tumors were found to contain Thomsen's antigen. Normal tissues of the same organ taken from the same patient did not contain the antigen nor was it contained by benign tumors. The titer of specific antibodies to Thomsen's antigen in the sera of patients suffering from cancer was considerably reduced as compared to that detected in normal subjects or in patients with benign tumors.

[Search for the heterogenetic Forssman antigen in human breast tumor tissue]. / Poiski geterogennogo antigena Forssmana v tkaniakh opukholei molochnoi zhelezy cheloveka.

The complement fixation test was used to examine 80 human mammary tumors for the presence of heterogeneous Forssman antigen: 62 cases of cancers of different malignancy (adenocarcinoma, solid tumors), 13 cases of fibroadenomas and 5 cases of fibrocystic mastopathies. Subject to study was also normal tissue of the mammary gland. Forssman antigen was not found in all the tumors tested, as it was not detected in tissues of the normal mammary gland. Therefore the process of transformation of normal cells to tumor ones is not accompanied by the occurrence in them of heterogenous Forssman antigen.
