Study on mechanical properties of a new type micro/nano metal material based on bacteria shape.

The functional groups and mechanical properties of Nocadia, a kind of bacteria with submicrometer in diameter and 3-10 microm in length, before and after metallization are determined by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and nanoindentation technology. The group -COOH exists on surface of Nocadia and the function groups of Nocadia decreases due to metallization. The elastic modulus of metallized Nocadia, Nocadia and resin is 42.583 GPa, 9.501 GPa and 5.723 GPa, respectively, and the hardness is 1.940 GPa, 0.265 GPa and 0.301 GPa, respectively. There is a great improvement of 5 times in elastic modulus and 9 times in hardness compared with bare Nocadia.

Effect of processing time on the content of five active ingredients in vinegar frankincense / 中国基层医药

Objective To study the effect of processing time on the content of five active ingredients in vine-gar frankincense.Methods Acetic acid,3－acetyl－β－lactic acid,3－acetyl－α－lactic acid,11－carbonyl－β－lactic acid 5 kinds of active ingredients in vinegar frankincense were determined.Results The results showed that four kinds of lactic acid (α－boswellic acid,β－boswellic acid,3－acetyl－β－lactic acid and 3－acetyl－α－lactic acid)showed an increasing trend (from 16.88mg/g to 23.05mg/g,40.35mg/g to 61.05mg/g,11.02mg/g to 18.17mg/g,19.78mg/g to 25.08mg/g),11－carbonyl－β－lactic acid showed a decreasing trend (6.98mg/g to 5.86mg/g),with the increasing of processing time (5,10,15,20 and 30min).Conclusion 30 min was the best time to prepare the balsamic vinegar frankincense.

Preparation of an amide group-connected graphene-polyaniline nanofiber hybrid and its application in supercapacitors.

Polyaniline (PANI) nanofiber is grafted onto graphene to obtain a novel graphene-polyaniline (GP) hybrid. Graphene is activated using SOCl2 and reacts with PANI to form an amide group that intimately connects graphene and PANI. The existence of the amide group and its anchoring effect in the GP hybrid are confirmed and characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR, Raman, XPS and quantum chemistry analyses. Electrochemical tests reveal that the GP hybrid has high capacitance performances of 579.8 and 361.9 F g(-1) at current densities of 0.3 and 1 A g(-1). These values indicate superiority to materials interacted by van der Waals force. Long-term charge/discharge tests at high current densities show that the GP hybrid preserves 96% of its initial capacitance, demonstrating good electrochemical stability. The improved electrochemical performance suggests promising application of the GP hybrid in high-performance supercapacitors.

Expression and significance of PD-L1 in breast cancer tumor cells and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes / 临床与实验病理学杂志

Purpose To investigate the expression of programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) in breast cancer tumor cells and stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (sTIL),and to study the relationship between the expression of PD-L1 and the clinicopathological characteristics of the patients.Method The protein expression of PD-L1 was detected by immunohistochemistry of EliVision two-step method in 68 cases of non special type of invasive breast cancer,and the relationship between the expression of PD-L1 protein and the immunohistochemistry subtypes and clinical parameters was analyzed.Results The total expression rate of PD-L1 was 35.3％ in breast tumor tissue,specially in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) which occupy the highest positive rate.The expression rates of PD-L1 in tumor tissue of the luminal subtype,HER-2 over-expression subtype and TNBC subtype were 16.1％,37.5％ and 61.9％ respectively,and the difference was statistically significant.The total expression rate of PD-L1 in sTIL was 51.5％,and the highest expression rate was 81.0％ in TNBC.There were significant differences of PD-L1 expression in sTIL of the luminal subtype,HER-2 over-expression subtype and TNBC subtype.Expression of PD-L1 in tumor tissue and sTIL had a significant positive correlation.Conclusion PD-L1 expressed in TNBC was significantly higher than other types of breast cancer,which suggest the blocking of signal pathway of PD-1/PD-L1 may expected to become a new immunotherapy for breast cancer,especially for TNBC subtype.

Juxtaglomerular cell tumor:a clinicopathological study of 5 cases / 临床与实验病理学杂志

Purpose To study the clinicopathologic features of juxtaglomerular cell tumor ( JGCT) . Methods The microscopic and immunohistochemical features were examined in 5 cases of JGCT, with review of related literatures. Results Four patients were fe-males and 1 was male, average aged 39 years ( range, 26-60 years) . Four patients had hypertension at diagnosis. Postoperative serum renin and aldosterone levels decreased obviously than before the operation in one patient. In one patient tumor had metastasized to liver and bone and died 14 months after operation. Microscopically, the tumors were well circumscribed and at least partially invested by a thick fibrous capsule. Entrapped tubules were identified. Numerous hemangiopericytoma-like vessels were focally present. The tumor tissue was made up of sheets of ovoid to polygonal cells with regular nuclei, distinct cell borders, moderately abundant eosinophilic cy-toplasm. Mast cells and lymphocyte were common. Thick-walled hyalinized blood vessels were obvious. Necrosis and high mitotic ac-tivity were identified in one case. Immunohistochemically, tumor cells were positive for renin, CD34, vimentin, and SMA (focally). Conclusions JGCT is a rare renal neoplasm. Its diagnosis and differential diagnosis must be established on the clinicopathologic fea-tures, immunohistochemical findings and ultrastructural features. Malignant JGCT is very rare. Its criteria are unknown, but malignant JGCT include histological vascular invasion, a large tumor size, relatively advanced patient age or child, necrosis and/or high mitotic activity.

Effects of different mean arterial pressure levels on hemodynamics, tissue perfusion and oxygen metabolism in elderly patients with septic shock / 中华老年医学杂志

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of norepinephrine and dobutamine (NE+Dobu) on hemodynamics, tissue perfusion and oxygen metabolism in elderly patients with septic shock at different levels of mean arterial pressure (MAP). MethodsAfter aggressive fluid resuscitation,norepinephrine and dobutamine were administered in 18 elderly patients with septic shock to correct hypotension. The rate of dobutamine infusion was 5 ug. kg<'-1>. min<'-1> Norepinephrine was titrated to maintain MAP at levels of 65 mm Hg, 75 mm Hg and 85 mmHg. Four hours later, the changes of hemodynamics, oxygenation index, blood lactate, renal function and gastric pCO<,2> at every MAP level were observed. ResultsThere were no significant differences in heart rate (HR), pulmonary arterial wedge pressure (PAWP), volume of oxygen (VO<,2>), Blood lactate, pH value, △pCO<'2> and creatinine clearance rate (CCr) among the MAP levels of 65 mm Hg, 75 mm Hg and 85 mm Hg ( all P>0.05). Compared with MAP 65 mm Hg, cardiac index (CI), systemic vascular resistance index (SVRI), oxygen delivery over oxygen extraction ratio were obviously higher at MAP 75 mm Hg and 85 mm Hg [4.7±0.6, 5.1±0.7 vs. 4.0±0.6; 1162±278, 1276±319 vs. 1011±225; (697±53) ml. min<'1>. m<'2>,(711±68)ml. min<'-1>. m<'2> vs. (634±70) ml · min<'-1> · m<'2>; (0.28±0.02)%,(0.27±0.02)% vs. (0.25±0.02) %, respectively, all P<0.05). The urinary output at MAP levels of 65 mm Hg, 75 mm Hg and 85 mm Hg were (98±43)ml/h, (91±54) ml/h and(74±49)ml/h repectively, and only the differences between MAP 75 mm Hg and MAP 65 mm Hg had statistical significance (P<0.05).ConclusionsAfter aggressive fluid resuscitation, hemodynamics and renal function are improved at MAP 75 mm Hg after administration of norepinephrine and dobutamine in elderly patients with septic shock. It should be considered that MAP is appropriately increased in elderly patients with septic shock.

Measurement and Evaluation of Environmental Factors in Underground Construction Site / 航天医学与医学工程

Objective To Evaluate the environment quality in underground construction site based on the measurement of atmosphere composition and microclimate. Method Concentrations and composition of gases were analyzed by combined detection with mass spectrometer and gas chromatograph. Microbial content was detected by striking method. A microclimate model was built based on the measurements of temperature, humidity and wind speed in two years. Result Concentrations of inorganic gas was higher than national standard. Total volatile organic compounds were in the range of 4～6 mg/m3, which highly exceeded the national standard. Concentration of O2 descended obviously at the time when personnel went into the construction site, and was lower than the national standard of 299 mg/m3 after continuous working for 3 h. When an aerator was started, the average noise level was in the range of 70～93 dB, which was higher than the national standard(55～70 dB). In the course of working, the average microbial content reached 4 000 cfu/m3 which was 3 times as high as the background level. The microclimate characteristic with high humidity, low temperature and inadequate sunshine was unsuitable for dwelling. Conclusion Environment in the underground construction site is unfavorable as compared with that on the ground. The physiological function of working staff may be influenced obviously due to cumulative effect of the above mentioned factors, and may lead to aprosexia, hypomnesis, fatigue, etc. Six kinds of protection means are suggested in the paper.

Assessment of antegrade/retrograde cardioplegia by magnetic resonance technique / 中华胸心血管外科杂志

Objective To compare the efficacy of retrograde cardioplegia for myocardial perfusion with that of antegrade cardioplegia at the same flow rate using magnetic resonance techniques. Methods Myocardial perfusion was evaluated with magnetic resonance imaging in isolated pig hearts during antegrade and retrograde cardioplegia. Phosphorus 31 magnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to determine the efficacies of both cardioplegic techniques in sustaining myocardial energy metabolism. Results Magnetic resonance images showed that contrast-enhanced signal-time courses obtained from different regions of the myocardium during retrograde cardioplegia varied significantly, whereas signal-time courses acquired during antegrade cardioplegia appeared more uniform. Localized phosphorus 31 spectra showed that retrograde cardioplegia resulted in myocardial ischemia at the flow rate of 10 ml/min. However, no significant changes were observed in myocardial energy metabolites until the flow rate was decreased to 3 ml/min during antegrade cardioplegia. Conclusion Microvascular perfusion provided by retrograde cardioplegia varies more significantly among various small areas of the myocardium than that did by antegrade cardioplegia. Moreover, the efficacy of retrograde cardioplegia in sustaining normal myocardial energy metabolism is lower than that of antegrade cardioplegia.

Effects of Lung Recruitment Maneuvers in Patients with Acute Respiration Distress Syndrome / 中国医师杂志

Objective To investigate the clinical effects, therapy safety and maintenance time of recruitment maneuvers (RM) combined with lung protective strategy in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Methods Thirty-two ventilated patients with ARDS underwent RM using a pressure of 30cmH_2O for 30s, without any sedatives and neuromuscular blocking agents. Results Compared with before RM, both oxhemoglobin saturation measured by pulse oximetry (SpO_2) and partial pressure of arterial oxygen (PaO_2) were significantly increased during one hour after applying RM. Cause and treatment of multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis in patients with human immunodeficiency virus infection / 中国康复理论与实践

@#ObjectiveTo explore the cause and treatment of multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Methods24 cases with HIV and MDR-TB who were found in some AIDS-high areas in Henan were analyzed.ResultsAll cases were later-required drug-resistant ones. The main reasons were unreasonable plan for chemotherathy,improper management to the patients, side-effect of drugs,immunosuppression and low drug-tolerance. After anti-virus and 9～12 months long anti-tuberculosis chemotherathy,7 cases died and other 17 survival patients improved in clinical symptoms and signs, including no tubercle bacillus were found in sputum of 15 cases,the focal of infection were absorbed in 16 cases,the pulmonary cavity closure rate was 66.7%(4/6)and the count of CD4+ lymphocyte was higher than before.ConclusionThe patients with HIV and MDR-TB are difficult to cure and the mortality rate is high;the short-term effect of the anti-virus and multi-drug antituberculosis chemotherathy is better.
