ABSTRACT

To explore the prevention and treatment of perioperative complications of adult liver transplantation patients from the perspective of ethics, and carry out ethical thinking in order to provide theoretical support. Through a cross-sectional study, 189 patients selected by strict admission criteria who received liver transplantation in the department of hepatobiliary surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University from January 2018 to May 2019, to explore the incidence and ethical problems of perioperative complications in adult liver transplantation. The results showed that 87 patients had complications among 189 patients, the incidence was 46.03%. Among them, 28 patients with pleural effusion, the incidence was 14.81%; 15 patients with biliary complications, the incidence was 7.94%; 14 patients with diabetes mellitus, the incidence was 7.41%. The incidence of complications after liver transplantation is high, mainly including pleural effusion, biliary complications and diabetes mellitus. Thus, the prevention and intervention from the perspective of nursing ethics is worth exploring.

Coronary artery lesions caused by Kawasaki disease has become the most common cause of acquired heart disease in children, and it is also a key factor affecting the prognosis of Kawasaki disease.The Subspecialty Group of Cardiology, the Society of Pediatrics, Chinese Medical Association has issued an update "Recommendations for clinical management of Kawasaki disease with coronary artery lesions (2020 revision)" . Combining the latest clinical guidelines in China and related researches at domestic and abroad in recent years, the current status of diagnosis and treatments of coronary artery lesions caused by Kawasaki disease is summarized as follows.

ABSTRACT

Different cell lines have different perturbation signals in response to specific compounds, and it is important to predict cell viability based on these perturbation signals and to uncover the drug sensitivity hidden underneath the phenotype. We developed an SAE-XGBoost cell viability prediction algorithm based on the LINCS-L1000 perturbation signal. By matching and screening three major dataset, LINCS-L1000, CTRP and Achilles, a stacked autoencoder deep neural network was used to extract the gene information. These information were combined with the RW-XGBoost algorithm to predict the cell viability under drug induction, and then to complete drug sensitivity inference on the NCI60 and CCLE datasets. The model achieved good results compared to other methods with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.85. It was further validated on an independent dataset, corresponding to a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.68. The results indicate that the proposed method can help discover novel and effective anti-cancer drugs for precision medicine.

ABSTRACT

Brain metastasis (BM) is a common complication in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which associates with poor prognosis. Recently, immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has revolutionized the treatment of tumors. Programmed death-1 (PD-1)/programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors could produce antitumor effect by activating the autoimmune system. The immunotherapy has already show to have a promising outcome for NSCLC patients with BM, while its specific curative effect and the most ideal mode of the treatment remain to be explored. Here we reviewed the tumor microenvironment (TME) in BM lesions and summarized the role of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in cerebral and its current status in clinical studies.

ABSTRACT

The treatment of esophageal cancer is difficult in clinic.Recently,the development of immune checkpoint inhibitors has brought the immunotherapies to a new age.In predicting the curative effect of biomarkers,programmed cell death-ligand 1,tumor mutation burden and microsatellite instability could promisingly predict the effect of the immune checkpoint inhibitors.Various immune checkpoint inhibitors are emerging and the combination of immunotherapy have shown a great applied potential in a series of clinical trials of esophageal cancer.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the association between the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of leukotriene C4 synthase(LTC4S) rs730012 in the childhood asthma.Methods Sequence specific primers-polymerase chain reaction was used to assess the genetic polymorphism of LTC4S rs730012 in 105 asthma children with different order of severity and 128 non-asthma children in our hospital in the northeast of China to analyse the association between the SNP of LTC4S rs730012 and susceptibility,clinical phenotype in asthma children.Results (1) In case group,genotype frequencies of A/C,A/A and C/C were 71.4% 、25.7% 、2.9%,allele frequencies for A,C were 84.3%,15.7%.In control group,the genotype frequencies of A/A,A/C,C/C,were 70.3%,28.9%,0.8%,allele frequencies for A,C were 84.8%,15.2%.No significant difference was found in AA genotype and C allele frequencies between case and control grouP(x2 =0.035、0.020,P both >0.05).(2) C/C genotype or C allele frequencies in moderate-severe asthma group were significantly higher than the mild asthma group(x2 =5.859、5.641,P both < 0.05);(3) SaO2 of A/A group was significantly higher than A/C and C/C group (t =2.976,Pboth < 0.05),and FeNO and obstructive ventilatory disorder incidence rate in A/C,C/C group were higher than A/A group,the differences were statistically significant (t =2.946、x2 =5.564,P both < 0.05).Conclusion The SNP of LTC4S rs730012 is associated with the order of severity,SaO2,FeNO,pulmonary function in asthma children of northeast China.However,the rs730012 is not associated with the susceptibility for asthma.

ABSTRACT

Using engineering fluid dynamics (EFD) softwares,we conducted a study on the simulation of flow field in vessel which was partially blocked by a clamp. The flow field of the partial block vessel was studied once more in real vessel when methylene blue as a marker was injected into the vessel. The change in the characteristics of blood flow was observed by way of computer imitation and methylene blue show. It was found that some defect might appear in the conventional method which partially blocked the vein.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the variations of the functional states of T helper cells(Th) in peripheral blood of children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP) in acute phase,and to explore their roles in the pathogenesis of MPP.Methods Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) of 40 MPP children were stimulated with PMA and ionomycin and cultured in vitro for 48 hours.The levels of IL-4,IFN-?,and TGF-?1 in the supernatants of PBMC were detected by ELISA.Results The levels of IFN-? and the ratio of IFN-?/IL-4 of MPP children in acute phase were significantly lower than those of the controls(P0.05).Conclusions The function of Th2 relatively prevails over Th1 in MPP children.The protective or regulative function of Th3 in vivo increases,but the protective regulation of TGF-?1 is insufficient,so the imbalance of Th1/Th2 can not be corrected.The variation of the functional states of T helper cells in acute phase has no relationship with or without the extrapulmonary damage.

ABSTRACT

A new-designed axial flow blood pump, dived by magnetic coupling and using internal hollow brushless DC motor and inlet and outlet in line with impeller, was tested in mimic circuit. The results showed good performance of the new pump and indicated that its hydrodynamic characteristic can meet the demands of clinical extracorporeal circulation and auxiliary circulation.

ABSTRACT

The bovine jugular veins were divided into two groups and treated with 4% EX-313 and 0.5% glutaraldehyde respectively, and then they were examined with naked-eye, microscope and scanning electron microscope. Biomechnics test and dorsal implantation in rats were performed. The aquired data were processed and subjected to t-test. The EX-313 fixed material was more pliable than the glutaraldehyde treated material, and the former had higher anticalcification than the latter. In conclusion, the hydrophilia crosslinking agent EX-313 is superior to glutaraldehyde in treating biomaterials, and the bovine jugular vein tanned with EX-313 should be a promising material for repairing in cardiovascular surgery.
