RESUMO

OBJECTIVE Parkinson's disease(PD)is a progressive neurodegenerative disease clinically char-acterized by dyskinesia, tremor, rigidity, abnormal gait, whereas 90%of patients with PD suffer from defects of the sense of smell before the appearance of the motor dysfunctions. However, the mechanism of olfactory disor-der is still not clear.METHODS We utilized olfaction based delayed paired association task in head-fixed mice.We focused on functional role of neural circuit using opto-genetic techniques. In addition,we viewed the synaptic transmission by slice physiological recording and count-ed the cell number of targeted circuits.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION In our experiments, olfactory working memory impairments were found in the PD mice, and the working memory impairment appeared before motor dys-functions.Furthermore,we also investigated the functional role of neural circuit for olfactory working memory in PD mice.Meanwhile, the excitatory post synaptic currents were decreased as a result of presynaptic release proba-bility suppression in PD mice. However cell loss wasn't found in working memory related circuit recently. These will provide a new idea of clinic diagnosis for PD.

RESUMO

Cancer is the second-leading cause of death worldwide. Cancer mortality is largely caused by the absence of recognizable early signs and a poor prognosis. Therefore, developing efficient diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers is crucial to reducing the incidence of cancer and improving its prognostic accuracy. tRNA-derived fragments are a new class of non-coding RNAs with important regulatory roles in cancer biology. In this paper, the research progress of tRNA-derived fragments as biomarkers in tumorigenesis, development, and prognosis was reviewed to provide a theoretical basis for cancer diagnosis and prognostic assessment.

RESUMO

Ecological efficiency mainly emphasizes the importance of balancing the relationships between natural resources, energy, the ecological environment and economic growth, which has aroused widespread concern worldwide. China's rapid economic development has inevitably been accompanied by serious resource exhaustion, environmental pollution and ecological deterioration in the past several decades, which has brought huge challenges to China's sustainable development. Therefore, establishing the evaluation framework of total-factor ecological efficiency (TFEE) and identifying its driving force have a great significance for improving China's sustainable development capabilities. First, an ecological efficiency evaluation framework is established based on the theory of total-factor analysis. Second, the super efficient hybrid distance model considers undesirable output and measures TFEE nationwide in 30 provinces and four regions during the period 2003-2017. Finally, the spatial effect of TFEE and its influencing factors are examined by using a spatial Durbin model. The empirical results show that (1) nationwide and regional TFEEs have different degrees of decline during the study period. There were significant differences among the 30 provinces and four regions. Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai are efficient, while the other provinces have not been as effective. The TFEEs of the four regions are not effective with an ordering of eastern > northeast > central > western. (2) Moran's I index shows that the TFEE nationwide has a positive spatial autocorrelation with strong spatial agglomeration. However, the spatial distribution pattern of TFEE in China was unstable and labile. The Moran scatter plot indicates that China's provincial TFEE has not only spatial dependence characteristics but also differences in spatial correlation. (3) Most factors are bound up with TFEE to various degrees: technological progress (TP), industrial agglomeration (IG) and human capital (HC) play a positive role, while industrial structure (IS), the level of urbanization (CITY) and energy intensity (EI) play a negative role. Additionally, environmental regulation (GZ) shows a U-type relationship with TFEE. The level of economic development (GDP) and foreign direct investment (FDI) cannot have a significant impact on TFEE at this stage. (4) The spatial Durbin model results show that TFEE has a significant spatial spillover effect, and the improvement of the TFEE of a province will increase the TFEE of neighbouring provinces. The confirmed spatial spillover effects of technological progress (TP), industrial structure (IS), the level of urbanization (CITY), industrial agglomeration (IG) and human capital (HC) can significantly impact the TFEE of neighbouring provinces. Among them, technological progress (TP), the level of urbanization (CITY) and human capital (HC) can significantly improve the TFEE of neighbouring provinces, and the level of economic development (GDP) and foreign direct investment (FDI) can significantly inhibit the improvement of TFEE in neighbouring provinces.

RESUMO

We described the clinical and neuroimaging characteristics of seven Chinese patients with anti-GAD65 antibody-associated neurological disorders of whom epileptic seizures were the initial and main symptoms. All patients were given immunotherapy and followed up monthly. The outcome demonstrates that immunotherapy is helpful for non-seizure manifestations of anti-GAD65-associated neurological autoimmunity and is less effective in the treatment of seizures, yet partial responses can still occur in the early stage. Taken together we suggest a trial with immunotherapy in all patients in the early stage of the disease, and in patients with non-epilepsy symptoms in the later stage.

RESUMO

Objective: Through analyzing development statue of integrative coronary heart disease clinical practice guidelines, we aim to provide a reference baseline for the future study. Methods: Databases including CBM, CNKI, WanFang, VIP were searched for published integrative coronary heart disease clinical practices. The website medlive.cn was also used as supplementary. The reporting tool for clinical practice guidelines RIGHT statement was used to evaluate the reporting quality. Results: A total of nine relevant clinical practice guidelines or experts consensuses were included, covering five integrative treatment therapy guidelines of PCI or CABG perioperative period, three myocardial infarction guidelines and one atherosclerosis guideline. Experts consensus methods were adopted in seven guidelines, the remining two guidelines used the evidence-based guidelines development methods. The evaluation of RIGHT statements showed that most guidelines reported complete information in"Basic information"and"Background"domain, however, they usually failed to provide enough description in"Evidence", "Recommendations", "Review and quality assurance", "Funding and declaration and management of interests"and"Other information"parts. Conclusion: Although some achievements have been reached in the development of integrative coronary heart disease clinical practice guidelines, the development methods and quality of reporting still needs further improvements. Researchers should explore more specific Chinese medicine guideline development methods and tools in the future.

RESUMO

Objective: To conduct a comprehensive and systematic review of the efficacy and safety of Wenxin Keli (WXKL) in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF) . Methods: Seven databases (PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Web ofScience, CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP and SinoMed) were searched to identify relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) from inceptions to 1 October, 2018. Two review authors independently assessed the methodological quality andanalyzed data by Cochrane handbook and the Rev Man 5.3 software. Begg.s test was conducted to assess publication biasvia Stata 14 software. Results: Twenty-four RCTs with 2246 patients were included in this review. Compared with blankcontrol, placebo or western medicine alone, WXKL alone or combined with western medicine could effectively reducerapid ventricular rate (MD=-7.14, 95%CI:-8.42——5.87), the frequency and duration of AF. It could also shorten thesinus rhythm conversion time (MD=-3.04, 95%CI:-3.47——2.61), increase the sinus rhythm conversion rate (RR=1.19, 95% CI: 1.09~1.29) and decrease recurrence rate of AF (RR=0.28, 95% CI: 0.13-0.59) . Besides, WXKL alone orcombined with western medicine was beneficial for improving the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) (MD=3.44, 95% CI: 0.87-6.01), left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD) (MD=-2.47, 95% CI:-2.86——2.08), left atrialdiameter (LAd) (MD=-0.91, 95%CI:-1.58——0.25) and P wave dispersion (Pd) (MD=-4.04, 95%CI:-4.15——3.93) .WXKL combined with low-dose amiodarone was superior to conventional-dose amiodarone alone in improving themaximum P wave (Pmax) (MD=-8.25, 95% CI:-10.33——6.17), and WXKL combined with conventional-doseamiodarone is more effective (MD=-13.10, 95%CI:-13.65——12.55) . Compared with the control group, the treatmentgroup had fewer adverse reactions, and the Begg.s test did not find any publication bias. Conclusion: WXKL alone orcombined with western medicine exhibited better therapeutic effects in the treatment of AF, but these results still needhigh-quality evidence to verify.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the genetic characteristics in a Chinese family with autosomal dominant lateral temporal lobe epilepsy (ADLTE) and analyze the correlation between genotype and phenotype. Methods The natural history, clinical data and peripheral blood sample were collected in all patients and two healthy members of this ADLTE family.Whole exon sequence(WES)analysis strategy was used to explore the underlying mutations. Possible causative genetic variation was further confirmed by direct PCR and Sanger sequencing. The genotype-phenotype features were compared with previously reported cases. Results A novel pathogenetic LGI1 frameshift mutation p.T134fs was identified in this study. The clinical phenotype was different from reported. Conclusion This study reports a pathogenic LGI1 mutation in a Chinese ADLTE family for the first time, which suggests that LGI1 is a new genetic abnormality of ADLTE in Chinese.
